Recent Enlightenment During Cultivation

1. Eliminating the Demonic Interference of Sleepiness with a Strong Ability to Endure

During the past month, whenever I studied Fa, I felt sleepy. I was so sleepy that I could not even endure. Even after I went to wash my face, it still did not help. When I was copying Fa, I was so sleepy that I could not even hold my pen still. The only thing I wanted to do was to sleep. My head was both heavy and dizzy. I went to the balcony for some fresh air and took several deep breaths, then came back to continue to study the Fa, yet after writing a few words I could not continue. After sleeping a while, I could remain alert, but only for a short time. Even pinching myself or taking a shower, etc., was of no help. I know this is not because I did not have enough time to sleep. It was due to my strong thought karma and demonic interference of sleepiness that were interfering.

I used all methods available to me but knew that even after I tried to endure, I was still too sleepy to continue with Fa study. Later, a small thing gave me a hint: I suddenly remembered that Teacher said,

"It's hard to endure, but you can endure it. It's hard to do, but you can do it." (Zhuan Falun)

Suddenly I felt like I had an infinite ability to endure and nothing could stop me. I could endure any hardship no matter how big. I read to myself nine times: "It's hard to endure, but you can endure it. It's hard to do, but you can do it." Afterwards my head was extremely clear and I was never sleepy again when I wanted to study Fa.

2. Continue Clarifying the Truth, Never Be Lax

In Teacher's June 15 poem, "For the Good of the World," there is a sentence: "I just don't believe their consciences are irretrievably lost." When I read it, my tears could not help falling. At that time, I had just freed myself of demonic interference of sleepiness for several days. Our Teacher indeed has insight into the states of practitioners. I believe that the meaning of this sentence is very deep. Teacher asks us to save the world's people and do the three things with the attitude of, "It's hard to endure, but you can endure it. It's hard to do, but you can do it." Every time our Teacher gives lectures, it must be because we, practitioners as a whole, go wrong. The lectures are to correct us.

I think that maybe most of us have these two problems, so Teacher wrote "For the Good of the World" to give us wisdom. I also feel it is important to write about my process and experience of passing this test, so that I can exchange and discuss with fellow practitioners. Through sharing over the Internet, I can find more of my shortcomings.

Finally, I would like to summarize my recent enlightenment into three points: 1) We must make use of Teacher's words, "It's hard to endure, but you can endure it. It's hard to do, but you can do it." Remembering this will free us of demonic interference of sleepiness and interference when studying the Fa; 2) Use the will of "It's hard to endure, but you can endure it. It's hard to do, but you can do it." We should tell the truth compassionately, not for validating ourselves but because we act out of complete selflessness and altruism, and then can call back the conscience of the world's people and help them to quit the Communist Party; 3) Use "It's hard to endure, but you can endure it. It's hard to do, but you can do it." to continue to send righteous thoughts and send them well. While sending righteous thoughts, we must be very levelheaded and clearheaded. We must not let our minds wander.
