(Clearwisdom.net) On June 9, the Japanese journal VOICE published an article titled "Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Regime's Organ Harvesting." The article was authored by Sakurai Yoshiko, a well known reporter and former host of a Japanese TV show. She wrote that the news of harvesting organs from living practitioners is incredibly shocking and let the international community realize how brutal the persecution of Falun Gong really is.
The article stated, "On April 20, during a welcome ceremony for Hu Jintao at White House, a lady showed up from the cameramen crew and shouted. She repeatedly shouted shocking information such as "Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong!" and "Stop harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners!" The lady's name is Wenyi Wang with a M.D. degree from U.S. She is a practitioner of Falun Gong.
"Though we know that the persecution is oppressive, the news of harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners is still incredibly shocking.
"Regarding the suppression of human rights by the Chinese communist regime, we only know that the Big Leap policy from 1955 to 1961 led by Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai starved 40 million peasants and political opponents of the party to death. In addition, the Cultural Revolution launched in 1966 persecuted 10 million to death. Today, ongoing human rights suppression is not being adequately reported and thus the truth is hard to know. Ms. Wang's shout let the international community realized the tragic facts of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
"Six days after the incident at White House, Ms. Wang gave a media interview and elaborated her motive of the appeal.
"Below is the report on this incident published on the Japanese Epoch Times.
"During the press conference, Ms. Wang pointed out that numerous Falun Gong practitioners have disappeared since the persecution started in 1999 while at the same time transplant operation cases of livers and kidneys increased dramatically. This fact can be seen since from Chinese organ transplant advertisement. For example, the Shenyang International Organ Transplant Center boasted that it can secure kidneys for patients in as short as 2 to 3 weeks.
"As a practicing physician, Ms. Wang believes that the key of organ transplant is to make sure patient and donor's blood type and HLA tissue match. To achieve this, one patient need to select from hundreds or even tens of thousand donors. For this very reason, it is well-known in Japan that a patient needs to wait for several years before he or she can find a matching organ. However, since 1999, the number of organ transplant operation completed in major hospitals in China has been ever escalating.
"Facing a large county with poor reputation for its statistics and no free information, it is hard to verify Ms. Wang's allegation. However, dramatic increase of organ transplant operation in China is a fact.
"Ms. Wang believes that disappeared practitioners are linked to the dramatic increase of organ transplant cases in China. Ms. Wang's shout told the world that Falun Gong practitioners' organs are being used for transplant.
"The international community has repeatedly condemned the Chinese Communist regime for trafficking organs of death row criminals, leading the regime to enact a regulation to ban organ trafficking starting on July 1. However, Ms. Wang believes that arrest and torture of Falun Gong practitioners continues. There are occasional cases in which people committed suicide as they couldn't bear the cruel torture. When torturing practitioners, police and guards were told not to harm their organs in waist or stomach areas so that the regime could use such organs for transplant.
"The wife of a doctor who once participated in removing Falun Gong practitioners' organs met reporters together with Ms. Wang. She mentioned that her husband felt very guilty after he realized that he was involved in removing practitioners' corneas and his hand was shaking when he did such operation.
"Japan should question China on the ongoing human rights violation, rule by law instead of rule of law, and failure of Chinese juridical system."
