Facts Concerning the Persecution and Death of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Dongxia from Jiamusi City

July 24, 2006 |   By a practitioner from Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) A gang of ruffians led by police officer Chen Wanyou illegally arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Dongxia from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. They sent her to the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp on January 6, 2003, to continue her persecution. Ms. Wang was tortured to the verge of death and was taken home in early September 2003. She soon passed away. The following gives some of the facts concerning the persecution of Ms. Wang.

Ms. Wang and her mother went to Beijing to validate and clarify the truth about Dafa at the end of July 1999. She and four other practitioners went to Beijing to validate Dafa again in September 1999. The police officers from Fengtai, Beijing Train Station harassed them at the guest house. Ms. Wang returned to Beijing again in early January 2000. She was arrested and detained in Jiamusi City's liaison office in Beijing. Zhang Yonggui from the Qiaonan Police Station and Wang Lianwen from the security section of the No. 3 Division of Water Resources took Ms Wang back around January 12 and detained her in the Jiamusi Detention Center for about 50 days. Her family asked some influential people to help, so she could be released. The detention center authorities extorted 6,000 yuan from her family.

Zhang Yonggui and Wang Lianwen arrested Ms. Wang and took her to the Qiaonan Police Station, and sentenced her to one year of forced labor in November 2000. She was released in April 2001. In November, agents from the city police department detained Wang Dongxia again. She was locked up for more than ten days. Her family again asked influential people to help. The authorities extorted 3,000 yuan from her family this time.

Officers from the city police department and the police station searched five places for Ms. Wang on December 14, 2002. Chen Wanyou from the City Police Department led a gang of ruffians who arrested Ms. Wang, her husband, and her mother-in-law at the home of her younger brother's wife and took them to the Qianjin Police Station. There, the practitioners were beaten from about 9:00 p.m. until past 3:00 a.m. the next morning. Three police officers took turns beating them. Practitioner Yin Haizhu was also arrested at that time, but escaped later. Chen Wanyou searched everywhere for Yin Haizhu. Ms. Wang, along with her husband and mother-in-law, was detained in the detention center on December 15.

On January 7, 2003, Wang Dongxia and her husband were sentenced to three years of forced labor each, and her mother-in-law was sentenced to two years' forced labor. Her husband and mother-in-law were refused entry to the labor camp because they were ill. Ms. Wang suffered all kinds of inhumane torture in the forced labor camp. Her health steadily deteriorated. The guards on duty and criminal inmates often beat and insulted her because she read Master's articles. Ms. Wang was sent to the hospital for treatment many times as a result of the torture she suffered.

Ms. Wang became weaker and weaker. At last, she couldn't eat anything. The forced labor camp authorities still refused to release her. The authorities wouldn't permit her family to see her, and would not set her free, either. Her father had no choice but to speak to Chen Wanyou, who tried to extort 10,000 yuan. Her father gave him 8,000 yuan for the early release of his daughter. Chen said, "You get a 2,000-yuan discount." He also forced Ms. Wang to sign an agreement to be a "helper" even though her mind was wandering.

Ms. Wang was carried out of the forced labor camp and sent directly to the City Tuberculosis Hospital in early September 2003. Later she was hospitalized two more times. The three treatments cost her family 20,000 yuan in total. Because Ms. Wang had been persecuted for such a long time, she finally died.
