As Fa-rectification progressed, this thought became less strong because I realized that there is no difference in terms of our effort to rescue sentient beings. Yet, a few days ago when I read the Internet account about the White House incident, I thought that this practitioner was really marvelous. It is not that I should not have this thought; the point is that it actually has stirred up my human notion of esteeming a hero and wanting to be a hero. Although shortly after I had the thought I became aware of it and suppressed it, I thought I'd write this down to remind other practitioners who may exhibit the same mindset. No matter what kind of situation emerges, our minds should not be affected, to avoid causing interference to ourselves or others.
To conclude, I would like to quote Master's poem for mutual encouragement:
"Cultivation paths are different
Yet all are within Dafa
With no attachment to anything
The path underfoot is naturally clear"
("No Obstacle" in Hong Yin II, provisional translation)
