The CCP Does Not Fear Ridicule, but it Fears Exposure of its Crimes: The Significance of the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution" and its Effort to Conduct an Investigation in China

April 16, 2006 |   By Ouyang Fei

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 4, 2006 the Falun Dafa Association and the Minghui website established "The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG)" (a.k.a. "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution"). This marked an historical milestone in Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to clarify the truth about the persecution.

For seven years the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has carried out the inhumane persecution of Falun Gong. However, the propaganda of "hall of one voice" in China describes such brutal persecution as "a life-giving spring breeze and rain." In order to ease the international pressure, the CCP has given performances one after another, letting overseas reporters visit or interview a prearranged forced labor camp or person with the hope of borrowing their mouths to deceive the outside world.

In May 2001, the CCP invited Chinese and western reporters, including AP reporters, to visit the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City. In June 2001, it invited reporters from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan to visit Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Daxing County, Beijing. In April 2002, it invited Chinese and western reporters, including some from the New York Times to interview "Wang Jindong" who was involved in the staged "Tiananmen Self-immolation." After the evil crime of the Sujiatun Concentration Camp conducting organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed, the CCP remained silent for three weeks while destroying and transferring all the evidence, then played its old tricks again by inviting outsiders to investigate. At least one of the Hong Kong media has sent reporters there.

The reporters, however, are also aware that these visits are just a show put on by the CCP. The whole process is prearranged and under their control, including the sites and the persons interviewed. There is no way to get the truth from such a visit. However, these so-called visits and investigation reports by overseas media serve to "objectively" repeat what the CCP has said and cater to the CCP's propaganda. This, more or less, makes such media the CCP's megaphone, and these reports become pieces on the chessboard in the game that the CCP plays with the world.

These kinds of games expose the CCP's sinister nature, but they have objectively and effectively provided the means for the CCP to get off the hook again and again. When people read these reports that describe scenes in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp such as "the gentle music, fragrant air, with docile deer running through the rose garden, and chickens and rabbits walking in groups" --although the reporters themselves couldn't help remarking that the CCP had overplayed such things, nevertheless, the hidden and shameful crimes, the extreme pain, the inhuman torture, and the heartless rapes all faded and were neglected under the ridicule of the CCP.

The CCP does not fear ridicule or being satirized by others, but it does fear its real crimes and evil nature being exposed to the world.

Since July 1999, when the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong, they searched everywhere in China for and arrested Falun Gong practitioners. The CCP put them into forced labor camps, brainwashing classes or concentration camps. However, everywhere overseas, the CCP has tried to hide from Falun Gong. They even dared not to allow any Falun Gong practitioners to participate in the so-called "exposing and criticizing meetings" by overseas Chinese communities who are manipulated by the CCP. When the CCP leaders visit other countries, in order to avoid a Falun Gong banner, they dared not come in or go out through the front doors of the hotels. Moreover, the human rights dialogs between the CCP and the western countries were carried on with the door shut, which has allowed the CCP to freely play the hoodlum and money games and has shown no practical effect to improve human rights.

The CCP's evil crimes must be investigated and documented. Regarding the investigation of the persecution of Falun Gong, Falun Gong practitioners have suffered huge pain and loss. Falun Gong practitioners have a profound understanding of the CCP's various sinister methods and fabrication and slander in the persecution. Falun Gong practitioners have numerous witnesses and first-hand persecution evidence that they have collected through the years. Falun Gong practitioners have a tremendously strong will and determination to expose the entire long-standing and cruel persecution. Any investigations without Falun Gong practitioners being directly involved will be pale and weak. Such investigations may even become a tool for the CCP to deceive the world again, just as they have always done.

Imagine such a show that the CCP may play if it again arranges interviews with Wang Jindong (who was involved in the staged "Tiananmen Self-immolation") regarding the organ-harvesting issue. Wang Jindong would say that the government didn't take his kidney; instead, the government cared so much for his health that the CCP treated him like its own child and selflessly transplanted a kidney into him. No matter how absurd the play is, the CCP can arrange it.

In the past, some people have said that the law enforcement personnel at low levels were the cause of the torture and rapes because of their low personal qualities. However, now the exposure of the organ harvesting from several thousand Falun Gong practitioners makes people believe that these crimes absolutely can't be attributed to a few rogue policemen. It is a giant group that commits such crimes. It is a systematic crime conducted by the CCP, from the top down to the bottom.

A rapist has no right to choose who should investigate him. A murderer cannot assign who should try him. The CCP has no right to decide who should investigate it.

Now it is time for our overseas Falun Gong practitioners to request to enter China to investigate all of the facts. Under international observance, an integrated investigation group that includes overseas Falun Gong practitioners should go to China to investigate. This action will certainly have a huge impact on the CCP. The CCP would know that they have lost the opportunity to use its life-saving stage props that invite the overseas media to publish its propaganda to deceive the world.

Is it possible that the CCP would allow Falun Gong to go to China?

Those who do not believe the persecution exists would truly hope that the CCP allows the investigation group to go to China. But those who know the truth of the persecution would wonder, "How could it be possible that the CCP would allow Falun Gong to investigate it?"

This is what exactly what the CCP wishes that everyone would think, "There's no way the CCP would allow such an investigation!" Therefore no one would dare to think of it, to try it or ask for it.

Such ways of thinking are most welcomed by the CCP. One automatically thinks about the matter from an angle favorable to the evildoers, which therefore leads to a conclusion satisfying to the evildoers, and it thus conforms to the evildoers' principles and actions. It is just like the thinking: "If I was the CCP, I would crack down on students too," "If I was Jiang Zemin, I would persecute Falun Gong too." Because one thinks the things from the perspective of the CCP in the first place, one allows the persecution of Falun Gong to go on freely.

Who will most benefit if Falun Gong does not request to investigate the facts in China? The CCP! Who will have no pressure at all? The CCP!

The most embarrassing matter for the CCP will be denying what it has done while making a gesture to welcome an outside investigation, and at the same time daring not to truly allow the parties directly involved to conduct the investigation. When the CCP's diplomatic spokespersons who have dismissed charges of organ harvesting as "gossip," "rumor" or "absurd" face the simple basic request from Falun Gong to investigate the cases in China, what excuses do they still have to dodge western reporters who will request it?

People continuously urge western governments to mention Falun Gong or even Sujiatun when they meet with Chinese leaders. People continue to call western government officials to ask the CCP to male an investigation or hope the western governments will conduct an investigation. Of course, all those are very important and essential steps to encourage the international social forces to exert pressure on the CCP.

Facing the western countries' requests, how the CCP will respond? There will be nothing other than avoidance, denial or placing the blame on the victim. The last "assassin's mace" is to invite western governments to come for a prearranged visit and investigation. The consequence of such a visit will be that the western governments will have responded to the public, and the CCP will have found the means to step down from the public spotlight. However, such a visit would be a grossly insufficient effort to stop such a persecution.

As the victims of the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners cannot just put their hope in others but should take the initiative. We ask to have other international media and organizations together to go to China to investigate the facts. We hope the international community will be widely involved and support such a request. As a matter of fact, for western leaders and international organizations, supporting such an existing investigation group will make the investigation more operational. Those reporters who have grown tired of the CCP's lies will be glad to work with Falun Gong practitioners to conduct a deeper and more independent factual investigation.

Forming an investigation group that will be led by the Falun Gong group will have the following significance: First, those who do not believe the persecution exists will see the CCP's guilty conscience and the existing persecution from the CCP's obstruction of this investigation group. Second, it will strongly echo and encourage those who have suffered the CCP's persecution in China and those who want to uphold human's rights in China. Third, it can provide for a more convenient and powerful organization with the clear objective of helping the international community to stop the persecution. Fourth, it will not allow the CCP to engage in its hoodlum tactics through the media, and it will expose the CCP's low behavior of double-dealing and covering up the facts. Fifth, it can provide evidence of the CCP's crimes in the persecution and expedite an end to this tragedy.

When the investigation results are publicized and when facing the unimaginable persecutions that Falun Gong practitioners have suffered in the past several years, the whole world, and even the CCP's own officials, will be shocked and horrified.
