Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Li Shengli, male, 34, lived in Yeliguanpuzi Village, Lintan County, Gansu Province, and used to be Litan County Chengguan Police Station Head. He followed the Jiang Zemin regime to persecute practitioners. In 2001, he cursed Falun Dafa and Master Li during a brainwashing session. In February to March 2003, he was beaten to death because he insulted someone else's wife.

Ma Lin, male, is the head of Mogou Village in Fengdie Township, Zhouqu County, Gansu Province. He smashed some Falun Dafa truth clarifying discs in 2005. Soon after he broke his leg, and it has not healed yet.

Zhou Cuiling, in her 40s, was formerly the CCP Xindian Town Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary. She actively joined the persecution especially to harass Falun Dafa practitioners during "sensitive" time periods. She was transferred to the Xinzheng City Retired Employee Bureau in 2002 but died from uterine cancer in the spring of 2003.

Wang Yonglai, male, was a villager living in Liangjiayu Village, Lulong County, Hebei Province. After July 20, 1999, he tried to persuade his son to divorce his daughter-in-law, who practiced Falun Dafa. He said he would not allow his daughter-in-law to interfere with his son joining the CCP and getting promotions. When his daughter-in-law asked him why he was trying to destroy their family, he answered while pounding his chest, "I'd rather die than have the CCP restore Falun Gong's reputation!" He died suddenly at home in May 2003.
