Practitioner Zhang Guodong Repeatedly Arrested and Tortured, Now Sent to Wanjia Forced Labor Camp

December 03, 2006 |

(Clearwisdom.net) Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared on the Minghui website, the Chinese version of Clearwisdom.

On November 16, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Guodong, who worked at the Yilan County Water Bureau of Heilongjiang Province, was sent to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. The Yilan County Police sent him there and gave him an eighteen-month-sentence.

On the morning of September 28, Zhang Wenguo and Song Yuzhe from National Security Division of Yilan County Police arrested Zhang Guodong while he was at work. The person second in command of the Wuguocheng Local Police Station also participated in the arrest. Officers also searched Zhang Guodong's home.

On October 19, Zhang Wenguo and Song Yuzhe put Zhang Guodong in a room. His clothes were pulled over his head and three officers from the Harbin police department beat him. They threatened that they would arrest his wife and younger sister.

On November 3, Zhang Guodong was sent to a place called Xiaoshulin (meaning Little Forest) located somewhere in Harbin City for further persecution. Zhang Guodong had reported the abuse and torture he endured during his previous arrest to the Procuratorate. This current arrest was in retaliation. Angry police officers forced Zhang Guodong to sit in a torture-chair for 48 consecutive hours. They told Zhang Guodong: "Two people who practice Falun Gong have already died in this torture chair. We don't mind to have you as an addition."
