Russia: Introducing Falun Dafa and Exposing the Persecution in New Siberia

October 09, 2006 |   By Russian practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) The city of New Siberia is in the middle of Russia and is part of Europe. It is the center of politics, economy, culture and transportation in Siberia. The population numbers in the millions, and there are also many Chinese people, but many of them have not yet heard about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party (an editorial published by The Epoch Times newspaper) or the withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party and its related organizations. In order to help these Chinese people understand Falun Gong and the big wave of withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party, practitioners from the neighboring city of Tomsk drove to different Chinese markets in New Siberia to spread informational materials and CDs in the early morning of October 1, 2006.

During the process, practitioners clearly felt that people in this city were waiting to hear the truth. Due to it being the first time spreading information in New Siberia, it was most people's first time hearing about the Nine Commentaries and the withdrawals from the CCP. Some of them didn’t dare to take leaflets, while some of them took our materials, although they had a bit of fear. There were also many people who came forward to ask for materials and CDs.

Along the way, practitioners by happenstance met a Chinese delegation. It seems that they were especially waiting for the practitioners, and most members of the delegation took leaflets and CDs, and said that they would find time to read them and try to understand more.

The activity lasted for three hours, and all the available materials were distributed. Afterwards, in order to help more people in New Siberia know about Falun Dafa, practitioners contacted relevant bookshops so that Falun Dafa books can be displayed. Although the journey was somewhat hurried, and there was no time to widely spread information, the practitioners affirmed with each other that this is a certain task they will fulfill next time.
