(Clearwisdom.net) In the past several years, the Tianjin Banqiao Women's Prison has become synonymous with evil and brutality. Terrible crimes have been committed against Falun Dafa practitioners. The following are examples of the persecution that the practitioners have suffered:

1. Practitioner Li Shumin was locked up in a boiler room for 8 days and 8 nights by police officer Han Jinling. Her legs became swollen as a result, but she was still hung up for another day and night in the washroom. Han Jinling also struck Li Shumin's breasts and other sensitive areas with an electric baton until Li Shumin died.
2. When police officer Yang Kuiying tried to force feed practitioner Du Ying, he broke her front teeth and inserted a tube down her throat. The officer sat on Du Ying for two hours and then cut her hair with scissors to humiliate her.
3. Efforts made by the police to coerce practitioner Li Yan into giving up her practice of Falun Dafa proved to be futile. They even brought in Li's mother and forced her to kneel before Li Yan for six days, while Li Yan was being slapped brutally. This did not yield any result either. A year after this, the police officer forced Li Yan to work in the garage all day. He made her stand throughout lunch before the work started again and did not let her rest at all. At night, she would be forced to stand until 3 or 4 am before being allowed to rest. Then, every morning, she had to wake up at 6 am to read propaganda material. Many of the people who were brainwashed came together in groups to threaten her. Li Yan almost lost consciousness on many occasions.
4. The police officers tore practitioner Hong Cai's quilt into pieces, and stripped her clothes off before hanging her up high in the air. Four toothbrushes were tied together and then inserted into her vagina and brutally whirled until she bled profusely. The police also pinched her nipples to cause her more pain. In the winter, she was stripped to freeze in the cold; while in the summer, she was forced to remain outside under the scorching heat.
5. Police officers Yang Kuimin and He Yumei threw practitioner Yang Xiong into a dog kennel, where the practitioner was bitten. Yang's mouth was stuffed with underwear while this occurred.
6. After six months of imprisonment, Falun Dafa practitioner Xue Ying was tied up, put in a sack and carried to a remote area, where the practitioner was brutally beaten.
7. After practitioner You Guiyuan's handwritten copies of Master Li's teachings were discovered by the police, the practitioner was tortured and beaten by a group of four to five people. It wasn't until he was on the brink of death that he was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.
8. Practitioner Li Tongfang was thrown to a pig sty and tortured using an "Itch Rope." The practitioner was tied up with this rope that caused severe itching and then hung from a tree.
9. Practitioner Gui Ling was handcuffed and shackled for more than two and a half years. Police officer Zhang Hongxia ordered several men to beat the practitioner until her mouth gurgled with blood. In the two years that Gui Ling was shackled, her mouth was stuffed with a towel or a ragged cloth to prevent her from shouting "Falun Dafa is good!" She was monitored to prevent her from seeing other practitioners in the washroom.
10. The police officers in the Banqiao Women's Prison created a number of ways to induce the Dafa practitioners to sit or step on Teacher Li's picture. If practitioners resisted, their feet would be forcefully carried to step on Teacher's picture.
