Months of Forced Labor
1. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Yanling at the Brink of a Torture-Induced Mental Collapse
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Yanling and her husband Wang Zongzi were abducted on September 28, 2004, and were both sent to the No. 3 Detention Center in Zhengzhou City, where they have been for nine months. They held a hunger strike for several months to protest the abduction.
Police officer Zhang Hui, who is in charge of cells 705 and 706, beat Ms. Wang Yanling in the office until she screamed in pain. He gagged her but she could still be heard. The police also ordered inmates to beat her. They gagged her with soiled feminine napkins. When Ms. Wang was at the brink of death, she was rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment. The police refused to let her mother meet with her. After her release from the hospital, Ms. Wang Yanling lost her memory and is often in a delusional state of mind. She can't walk steadily and has to crawl into her bunk bed, which is only a few inches above the ground. Despite her condition, the authorities still force her to work. She often dozes off during work sessions. When she does not complete her work assignment, she has to work on the night shift from 10:00 p.m. until the next morning when all the inmates get up. She is not allowed to sit, even when she can no longer hold herself upright. She also does not get enough food.
2. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Li is Tortured
Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Li from Pingdu City was abducted on the evening of February 8, 2005, when distributing truth clarification materials. She has been held at the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City for over five months, during enduring brutal torture on a daily basis. She has been holding a hunger strike and has been force-fed. She was often tortured until she bled from the nose and mouth. She is now skin and bones, yet the police sentenced her to prison and are about to send her to Jinan City.
3. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Three Dafa Practitioners Held in a Custody Center
On June 20, 2005, practitioners Yin Hong, Zhu Guilian and Pi Ma from Changde City were held at the Changde City Custody Center. The three practitioners have been on a hunger strike for 14 days and are now at the brink of death.
4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Abducted
Around 11:00 p.m. on June 20, 2005, practitioners Mr. Wang Mingduo and Mr. Zhao Xinghua were followed and abducted by police when distributing flyers in the Development Zone . They were later sent to the Jindao Police Station in the Development Zone. Around 11:00 a.m. on June 21, officers from the Shuiyuesi Police Station ransacked Mr. Zhao Xinghua's home and took more than 100 copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, one printer and some Dafa materials. They abducted his wife Zhang Yonghong, also a practitioner. Mr. Zhao Xinghua and Mr. Wang Mingduo are being held at the No. 1 Detention Center in Cangzhou City. Mr. Wang has been holding a hunger strike since his abduction. Zhang Yonghong is being held at the No. 2 Detention Center in Cangzhou City.

5. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
In the evening of June 30, 2005, practitioners Tang Haiyan and Li Suming from Maoming City were arrested by police and by officials from the 610 Office. Tang Haiyan is being held at the Maonan Police Department and Li Suyu was sent to the Maoming Brainwashing Class.
6. [Miyun County, Beijing] Practitioners Tu Changfu and Zheng Bailin Sentenced to 30 Months of Forced Labor
Practitioner Tu Changfu from Donggezhuang Village, Xitiangezhuang Town, Miyun County, was abducted from home. Officials from the 610 Office and the town police department sent him to the county detention center. On March 24 he was sentenced to 30 months of forced labor and is currently being held at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Daxing County, Beijing.
Practitioner Zheng Bailin from Donggezhuang Village, Xitiangezhuang Town, Miyun County, was also abducted from home. Personnel from the 610 Office and the police department sent him to a detention center. On April 14 he was sentenced to 30 months of forced labor and the same day was sent to the Tuanhe Dispatch Center in Daxing County in Beijing.
7. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Abducted When Clarifying the Truth
Around 9:30 p.m. on July 2, 2005, practitioners Li Qin and his wife Pi Fenghua from Lishu County, Siping City, were riding a motorcycle on their way to clarify the truth about Dafa, when officers from the Fenghua Police Station in Lishu County, Jilin Province, arrested them. Around 5:00 a.m. on July 3, the police waited outside the couple's home, broke in around 7:00 a.m. and ransacked it. Li Qin and his wife are currently being held at the Fenghua Police Station in Lishu County.
On July 2, 2005, police abducted practitioner Yu Xiaojuan and another practitioner when clarifying the truth. We have learned that Yu Xiaojuan is being held at the Lishu County Detention Center.

8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Liu Siping and His Wife Arrested by Police While Distributing Truth Clarification Materials
On July 1, 2005, police arrested practitioner Liu Siping and his wife Yin Fenglian from Chengdu City when distributing truth clarification materials at Southwest Book City in Chengdu City. They are currently being held at the Chengdu City Detention Center, located at No. 3 on Zhengyi Road in Anjing Town, Pi County.
9. [Hunan Province] Practitioner Ms. He Yingqin Abducted While Distributing Truth Clarification Materials
Practitioner Ms. He Yingqin was a teacher at the Hunan Biology and Mechanical Engineering Technical Institute. On the evening of May 29, 2005, she was arrested while distributing truth clarification materials at Hunan Agricultural University. The police ransacked her home later that evening. She is currently being held at the Changsha City Detention Center.
Ms. He has been persecuted for a long time for persisting in her belief. Between 2001 and 2002, perpetrators from her work unit sent her to a brainwashing class and later transferred her to Baimalong Forced Labor Camp, where she was savagely tortured. She returned to her work unit but has been deprived of her personal freedom ever since.
