(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners Mr. Wang Zideng and Mr. Pang Jihai were represented by a defense counsel in Laichen District Court, Laiwu City on February 1, 2005. The defense counsel argued that according to the law, Wang Zideng should be released. The court determined on June 5, 2005, that Mr. Wang be sentenced to 7 years in prison and Pang Jihai to 6 years in prison for following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to improve themselves. The court verdicts were controlled by the Laiwu City 610 Office and the Political Judicial Committee.

On August 5, 2005, Mr. Wang Zideng was illegally arrested on his way to pick up his son from school. Mr. Pang was arrested when visiting a neighbor on August 8, 2005. The two were detained at the Laiwu City Police Department Detention Center. The written judgments were sent to each of them on September 28, 2005. Their family members are devastated by the verdicts.

On September 30, 2005, officers in Laiwu City unlawfully arrested practitioners Qi Yingjun and his wife Chen Lianmei. Practitioner Ms. Shang and her husband, who is not a practitioner, were also arrested.
