Since facts regarding the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang Zemin and his followers have been extensively investigated and verified by international human rights organizations, including the United Nations, it has become a major human rights case receiving extensive attention around the world. People from all walks of life are outraged when they learn that Falun Gong practitioners in China have been subjected to brutal torture of an unprecedented scale and that the abuse has led to injury and death for many practitioners. In order to protect human rights, more than eighty organizations from Europe, North America, Asia and Australia have allied to form the "Global Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice." In addition, human rights attorneys around the world are coming together to file legal cases in local courts against Jiang Zemin and his followers for their crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong.
