Police Officer: "You Do Not Have to Leave Home, We Won't Bother You Anymore"

May 16, 2004 |   By a practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) During the Spring Festival of 2001, on January 24, a fellow practitioner went to appeal in Beijing and was arrested. At about 9:30 p.m., police officers came to my house to interrogate me about another practitioner who had gone to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, claiming that I had told him to go appeal. I said to them, "Suppose if were to ask you to go to Beijing tomorrow, and I will pay for your fares. When you arrive in Beijing, you just need to shout 'Falun Dafa is good' at Tiananmen Square, and when you come back here, I will give you two thousand yuan (1). How about it'"

One officer replied, "I would not go, as I will be arrested for sure."

I said, "You see, I am willing to pay for your fare and when you return I am willing to reward you, and yet you refuse to go, as you know the consequence of your going there. The practitioner who went there only wished to say a few just words. That was the intention of the Dafa practitioner. Before going, the practitioner must be prepared to risk his life, and that is not something that money or words from others can convince someone to do."

I added, "You keep coming to harass me, and I do not feel safe even when I'm at home. If it gets worse, I'm going to have to leave home."

The police officer quickly said, "You do not have to leave home, we won't bother you anymore." Having said that, they left in a hurry.

"Do Not Say Any More, I Promise that We Will Not Disturb You Again"

After a few days, when I was not at home, they came again. They rummaged through everything in the house, and then accused us of hanging up a Falun Dafa banner and distributing truth-clarifying flyers. In spite of my wife reasoning with them, they still ransacked the house. When I returned in the evening, my wife told me what happened. I said, "Tomorrow, I will go see them because the home of a Dafa practitioner cannot be ransacked by them at will."

The next morning, I went to the municipal government office to look for them. When I met the municipal Party Committee clerk, I said, "You were there yesterday and claimed that the banner was hung up by me, the flyers were distributed by me, but where is the evidence' If you do not have the evidence, your actions were in violation of the law." I continued, "You have come to search my house and not just on one occasion. Why is it that you are ransacking the home of a Dafa practitioner' I have come today to get a statement from you stating that you ransacked my house, and then I will go to Beijing to file a complaint against you."

When he heard that, he dared not provide the statement. I then went to the rear of the building to talk to the Party Committee members. As I met Party Committee Secretary Li on the way, I followed him to his office. I asked him about the search of my home the previous day and he made an excuse, saying, "I did not know. That was an order by the County."

I said, "Who does the Party Committee clerk listen to if it is not the Party Committee Secretary' The Party Committee clerk led the search. Is it possible that you were not aware of it' Just ask the Party Committee clerk to come in here and ask him, and if he confirms that my house was ransacked, you will provide me with a statement. That is all I am asking for. Your action was against the law and I will file a complaint against you."

When he heard that, he would not provide the statement. Then he asked the village leader, who was on good terms with me, to tell me: "Please go home. Your house will not be searched in the future, I promise that you will not be disturbed again."

The Importance of Righteous Thoughts

When I clarified the truth, I would go from place to place and every time I changed locations, I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear away the evil factors in other dimensions. Now, I distribute the truth-clarifying flyers for long periods of time, but the police officers do not give me any problems. The father of one of the police officers was my schoolmate. When he met me, he mentioned, "You are really capable, you just perform your task for Dafa anywhere you please and no one dares to arrest you. If it were others, I do not think it would be the same."

Once, I went to the marketplace to tell people about Dafa and about how the police officers at the forced labor camp and the Public Security Department persecuted me. I did this at three different locations, speaking as I walked along, and there were up to thirty people listening at each place. That night the police came to my house and asked me, "What have you done today'" "Merely chatted with some folks," I replied.

They asked me, "What did you talk about'" I replied, "I told them about my experiences in the persecution of Falun Gong. I chatted about the same thing wherever I went."

The police officer smiled, "You dare to own up to your actions. We respect that! Someone made a report against you, but we will not arrest you. In the future, just talk at one location for eight or ten minutes, then move on."

After that, they never came to look for me again.

Falun Gong Practitioners Are Indeed Good People

I operate a three-wheeled motorcycle for transporting people and whenever someone boards it, I tell him or her the facts about Falun Gong and ask them to remember, "Falun Dafa is good." In the summer of 2001, as I was transporting a client, I noticed a lady who was about fifty years old. She was carrying a five or six year-old child, walking along the road. She looked exhausted.

When I finished transporting my client to their destination, I immediately returned to where the lady was walking and asked her to board my vehicle.

She said that she had no money and I replied: "I do not want any fare from you. The weather is so hot and your journey is long, perhaps ten miles, and you would not be able to reach home before it gets dark. Just get on board!" She thanked me and I said, "You need not thank me, as I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. If you want to thank anyone, then please thank my Teacher, Mr. Li Hongzhi. It is he who gave me the opportunity to do this."

I began to clarify the truth to her, telling her that Falun Gong was not like what the state-run television programs described it to be. Thereafter, she would tell people: "The Falun Gong practitioners are indeed good people. One of them provided me transportation for free, voluntarily, when I needed help. That's how their students act. Could their Teacher be accumulating wealth by unfair means' Think it over and you will realize that you were told lies."

I would provide school children transport free of charge if they had no money. When they boarded my vehicle, I would tell them the facts about Falun Gong. After some time, these children would shout, "Falun Dafa is good!" when they saw me.

Using Poetry to Clarify the Truth

My residence is by the roadside, with many vehicles and people passing by. I have posted short lines of poetry at the doors of the front and back courtyards. Those people who passed by would stop to read what was written and often read them aloud.

After a long period of time, the people had committed the words to memory. The police and cadres also stopped to read the couplets when they pass by. I often change what is written in the couplets. A neighbor told me, "Your writing is good indeed. I would never be able to write like that, please post one set for my door too."

Once, I changed the horizontal scroll to "Zhen, Shan, Ren" (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance"). The police officers from the local police station arrived and asked me, "Why did you write "Zhen, Shan, Ren" and post it up there'"

By that time, many people had gathered in front of the door. I asked those people there, "Is Zhen good'" The people said loudly, "Good!"

"Is Shan good'" "Good!"

"Is Ren good'" The people said loudly, "Good!"

"Is the combination of Zhen, Shan and Ren good'" "Good!"

I asked, "Since 'Zhen, Shan, Ren' is so good, why would you not let me post it up there' What law have I broken'"

When the police officers heard that and could not give an answer, they drove off.
