Practitioners Cooperate as One Body in a County in Liaoning Province

  1. All Practitioners in the County Sent Forth Righteous Thoughts Simultaneously to Help Fellow Practitioners Escape Arrest
  2. In May 2003, the authorities surrounded the home of a family of practitioners. The county magistrate, the chairman of the county's Political and Judiciary Committee, the county's Police Department chief, the head of the Political and Security Section and several police vehicles from two local precincts were all there. These people were trying to break into the practitioner's home through windows and doors. Within one hour of this happening, all of the practitioners in the county learned about it. Many practitioners went close to the scene to send forth righteous thoughts. Shortly after, the cell phones of persecutors there were ringing. They were phone calls from practitioners in other areas and from overseas. By the time they broke down the door and the security bars on the windows, none of the evildoers dared to go inside. The practitioners in the surrounding area clarified the truth about Dafa to the public at the scene and later escaped one by one. The neighbors were impressed by the courage of Dafa practitioners. The practitioners told them, "It was not because we are powerful; it was the great power from our Teacher and Dafa that saved us. Dafa is absolutely righteous, and one righteous thought itself subdues a hundred evil things!"

This incident has made numerous of our other practitioners recognize the power of working together as a whole body. It has also increased our confidence. As a result, practitioners contact each other more often, and many practitioners who did not step forward before started to do so.

  3. Suffocating the Evil and Saving Sentient Beings with Righteous Thoughts and Deeds
  4. Practitioner Ms. Huang is an elementary school teacher. In mid December of 2003, someone reported her as she was clarifying the truth in class. Officials from the Political and Judiciary Committee threatened to send Ms. Huang to a forced labor camp, but Ms. Huang did not give in at all. Fellow practitioners learned about it the same day and immediately offered their help. Everyone sent forth righteous thoughts. Some practitioners quickly gathered a list of names of responsible people in the Political and Judiciary Committee, the Police Department, the Education Bureau and the school. Soon phone calls from overseas started coming in, which greatly shocked the evildoers.

We also made some large posters with red letters saying, "Please restore teacher Huang's right to work! Principal Jia, please distinguish right from wrong," "Treating Dafa well will be rewarded! This world needs Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance." We also made a letter-sized flyer, which explained the whole incident and listed the evildoing people's names and phone numbers. We suggested that fellow practitioners post large quantities of these handbills by the school area. That way, even if the authorities wanted to take them down, they would not have enough time before the morning rush hour to take all of them down, so the students would have an opportunity to read the information. Next day's feedback was positive. We learned that almost every teacher in the school had read the handbill.

Later, when I asked an elderly practitioner if he felt it might be difficult to put up bigger posters he said, "Not at all! We like bigger ones." I believe one of the reasons why every practitioner was willing to help was because this incident happened to a local practitioner and would impact the local environment. Everyone paid close attention to it, thus improving our xinxing together. In the meantime, a fellow practitioner managed to contact Dafa practitioner teacher Huang, who was being monitored by officers from the school and by her family members. He told her all of us paid close attention to her situation and there shouldn't be a problem as long as she kept her righteous thoughts. Practitioner Huang said that she was not afraid at all.

Later we wrote an open letter to all the teachers in the school, reminding them that their attitude about this incident would greatly impact their own futures. We made this letter into fliers and distributed them throughout the whole county. We turned this evil persecution incident into an opportunity for us to clarify the truth.

We also wrote a letter to practitioner Huang's husband, who had originally supported her but changed his mind under pressure. Several copies of the letter were sent to him from different locations. Some practitioners thought the letter was also applicable for some other practitioners' family members, so we made more copies for them.

The school principal was cowed as soon as the overseas phone calls came in, and changed completely after the handbills were posted. Later on, the county Political and Judiciary Committee sent people to the school to follow up and the principal stopped them. A teacher later told practitioner Huang, "You Falun Gong practitioners are really caring! It seems all the practitioners in the county helped to support you."

  5. The Power of Righteous Thoughts

Several days later another incident happened: practitioner Ms. Dong, who left the Masanjia Labor Camp with the power of righteous thoughts, was arrested in another city.

We learned about this before she was sent back and immediately forwarded the information to the Clearwisdom website, asking practitioners to help send forth righteous thoughts. We also listed related government officials' and police officers' phone numbers on Clearwisdom, so that overseas practitioners could call them to clarify the truth and support Ms. Dong.

A few days later we found out that Ms. Dong was at the county hospital. Another practitioner managed to find out her room number and saw her being monitored by several policemen. This practitioner immediately spread the news to us and told us the police were planning to sentence Ms. Dong several days hence.

Our local practitioners soon got a list of phone numbers for the county hospital and Judiciary Bureau, and published them on Clearwisdom.

In the meantime we made a large amount of handbills, requesting that the primarily responsible people, such as the chairman of the County Political and Judiciary Committee, the head of the county's "610 Office" and the deputy County Police Chief stop persecuting Falun Gong. We posted these handbills all over the county. Later we made a flyer listing Ms. Dong's experience and attached a letter from Ms. Dong to her family members, written at the Mid-autumn Festival in 2001, which was published on Clearwisdom. We received feedback that the letter was quite touching and people liked the flyer.

At 6:00 p.m. of the day the fliers were made, we learned that Ms. Dong would be on trial the very next day. We immediately gave all the flyers to all available practitioners and suggested for them to distribute the fliers overnight, especially around the hospital and the courthouse. We also planned to go to the courthouse to send forth righteous thoughts nearby the next day.

As a result, the evildoers did not dare to try Ms. Dong in the courthouse, but rather set up a temporary court in the hospital. Ms. Dong was sentenced but was given immediate parole.

There were several smaller stories in the process that we would like to share.

  1. "Lost human conscience" changed to "persecuting innocent people"
  2. When we design the handbills, at first the text started with "County Political and Judiciary Committee Chairman lost all human conscience..." A practitioner pointed out the wording "lost human conscience" might not be appropriate, so we changed it to "County Political and Judiciary Committee Chairman is persecuting innocent people..." Several day later, a friend of mine who does not practice told me she saw that handbill and thought it was great. She told others, "Look how nice Falun Gong practitioners are! They never say anything mean! After suffering so much mistreatment, all they are saying is " are persecuting innocent people'..." This feedback from ordinary people reminded us we should not rely on overstated language to shock the evildoers. This may cause ordinary people to disagree with our messages and might have a negative impact.

  3. Be specific when exposing information on evildoers had good results

After the information was posted, a particularly cruel administrator named Shang from the county's "610 Office" could not stand it that his name was all over the streets, so he went out and tried to remove the handbills by himself. Soon others bent on reporting people thought he was posting the handbills and reported him. Police officers took him to the station.

This incident reminded us that when exposing evil deeds, it is better to point out the particular persons by name. If we only mention evildoing people in general, they would feel it had nothing to do with them personally and thus might not touch them at all. The reason the "610 Office" head made these efforts to remove the handbills by himself was because his name was on them.

The above incidents made us realize that no matter what we did and what we achieved, it was all because of the power of the Fa and our Teacher. We were merely following the mechanisms Teacher had set up for us. When we all put our efforts and hearts together, we had formed a powerful whole body that no one could break apart.
