1. [Yongnian, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Cheng Fengxiang Tortured with Hallucinatory Drugs

During the Spring Festival season of 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Cheng Fengxiang from Yongnian was arrested for inserting Falun Gong programs into a closed-circuit television broadcast in Shahe, Hebei Province. Mr. Cheng has since been transferred between various facilities. He was inhumanely tortured while in Handan City, Hebei Province. Officers even force-fed him hallucinatory drugs.

Police officers in the Xingtai City State Security Unit who engaged in the torture include: Liu Chaoliang, Zhao Zhongsheng, and Zhang Honggang.

2. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Practitioners Liang Qiuchang and Liang Shungui Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Liang Qiuchang, 34, lives at Yingbei in Liyue Town, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. Between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on September 12, 2004, she and another practitioner, Ms. Liang Shungui, were arrested while distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials on the streets. The practitioners are being held at Jiangmen Detention Center. Their families have been denied visits.

On the morning of September 13, five police officers arrived at her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and truth-clarifying CD's and leaflets. Officials from the detention center have demanded that her family pay for her living expenses while she is in the detention center.

3. [Kangping County, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Meng Yuhua Tortured in Shenyang City Women's Prison

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Meng Yuhua is being unlawfully held at Group 6, Unit 9 of Shenyang City Women's Prison in Liaoning Province (also known as Masanjia Prison Complex). Due to the inhumane torture she has suffered, her family has been denied visits.

4. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Two More Practitioners Abducted to Wangcun Brainwashing Unit

After unlawfully sending practitioner Ms. Yuan Yan, an employee of Rizhao Port Authorities in Shandong Province, to a forced labor camp, leaders from the Port Authorities sent two more practitioners to Wangcun Brainwashing Unit in Zibo City without producing any legal documents. The two practitioners forcibly taken away for brainwashing are Mo Zongyan and Yan Zhenhua, both employees of the affiliated railroad transportation company.

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Shenhe District Practitioner Ms. Liu Shufang Arrested at Her Home

Practitioner Ms. Liu Shufang lives in Shenhe District, Shenyang City. Plainclothes officers from Heping District Branch Police Department followed her on August 23 and arrested her at her home.

6. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Zhao Yunshan and Dong Linlin Unlawfully Arrested

On the afternoon of September 18, 2004, Zhao Yunshan and Dong Linlin were arrested from where they live. Their whereabouts are unknown.

A plainclothes officer came to Zhao's home. Zhao did not know he was a plainclothes officer and told him the truth about the persecution and torture of Falun Dafa practitioners. The officer pretended to learn about Falun Gong. Zhao was arrested after giving him a copy of Zhuan Falun and a tape cassette of Falun Gong exercises.

7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Longnan Practitioner Ms. Yu Guixiang and Fuyu County Practitioner Ms. Zhang Lifang Arrested

Recently local police officers arrested practitioners Ms. Yu Guixiang, from Longnan, and Ms. Zhang Lifang, from Fuyu County. Their homes were ransacked and their cellular phones confiscated.

8. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Qiu County Practitioner Zhang Huaizhong Arrested

Practitioner Zhang Huaizhong is from Qiu County, Handan City, Hebei Province. Informants alerted the police while Zhang was raising public awareness of Falun Gong to local residents. On the afternoon of September 14, 2004, officers from the Qiucheng Police Station in Qiu County arrested Zhang at the Huaiqiao tollbooth in Quzhou County. Zhang is being unlawfully held at the Qiu County Detention Center.

9. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Numerous Practitioners Suddenly Arrested

Around 1:30 a.m. on September 19, 2004, police suddenly arrested numerous practitioners in Benxi City.

Two police officers arrested practitioner Zhang Peng at home in Caitun.

Practitioners Pan and Li were arrested in thePingshan District of Benxi City.

Police arrested practitioner Deng, from Niuxintai in Benxi City, at home on No. 72 Qingrong Street.

Two practitioners with the last name "Liu" and another practitioner whose name is unknown were arrested in Zhuanshan, Benxi City.

Practitioners Zhang Xiujuan, Zhang Liping, Wu Yuxia, Zhang, and Li were arrested in Dongfeng Township, Xihu District, Benxi City.

Practitioner Zhao was arrested in Qiaotou Town in Benxi City.

In addition, four other practitioners were arrested in Xihu District, Benxi City.
