Czech Republic: Tourists Join Practitioners' Parade Calling for an End to the Persecution of Falun Gong (Photos)

October 15, 2004 |

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of September the 11th 2004, Falun Gong practitioners held a parade through Prague's major streets to let people know about the campaign of genocide that is happening to practitioners in China and has already claimed at least 1059 lives. Accompanied by a city police escort, practitioners marched from the New Town to Old Prague, then passed the Houses of the Czech Parliament and nearby the Senate by taking the ancient Charles Bridge. At the end the procession marched to Lesser Town and Hradcany Castle, where practitioners passed the Office of the President.

Some practitioners acted the role of persecution victims and they held photos of practitioners who have been persecuted to death in front of their chest. Seeing our procession, many tourists asked for leaflets in various languages because they wanted to learn more about the persecution. Some tourists even joined the parade and marched with us for a while. There were so many people that soon one couldn't tell who were the practitioners and who were the tourists; leaflets could not be given out fast enough because so many people wanted them.

The parade ended in front of the Chinese Embassy where female practitioners sang the beautiful song "Coming for You" in Chinese and English and the song "Falun Dafa Hao". Later all practitioners sat on the pavement opposite the embassy entrance and held a silent vigil to commemorate all the practitioners who have been persecuted to death in China.
