Master, you've been through thousands of hardship and tribulations to save sentient beings in the old universe. No language in the human world could describe your greatness and your lofty realm. No word is able to express your immeasurable grace. On October 7, 2003, I was unexpectedly arrested when I went to Shanghai to visit some friends. On my first day in the detention center, I was continuously interrogated for nearly twenty-four hours. At that time, I clearly saw that the entire incident of my arrest in China was a well-designed plot. The special agents in the Shanghai National Security Bureau utilize former Falun Gong practitioners who have already betrayed Falun Dafa and Teacher as a result of severe brainwashing and torture. These collaborators are manipulated to contact overseas Falun Gong practitioners in order to collect information, swindle them out of their money and verify the validity of information about other practitioners they are trying to draw into their web of deceit.
The special agents of the Chinese National Security Bureau usually employ two methods of deception. One is to deceive Falun Gong practitioners into meeting in Hong Kong or Macao under the pretext of sharing experiences or hoping to provide assistance; or they entice practitioners to come directly to China. In Shanghai, I was illegally detained for twenty days, and monitored for an additional eight days after being deceived into going to China.
The entire process of the deceptive ploy involved "Lao Yang," "Xiao Luo" and personnel in the National Security Bureau. Ms. "Lao Yang" is the person who first contacted me and arranged lodging for me. She wanted information from me about Taiwanese and overseas Falun Gong practitioners for the undisclosed purpose of swindling money. Once, Lao Yang also wanted to come to Taiwan under the pretext of visiting family. She has betrayed many Falun Gong practitioners in Shanghai and other cities, by deceiving them into coming to the Mainland and then having them arrested.
The special agents in the National Security Bureau also fostered an impression among Falun Gong practitioners that Lao Yang was a Falun Gong practitioner with strong righteous thoughts, which led people to believe that they could get truth-clarification materials through her. Lao Yang also utilized the deceptive ploy that she had "enlightenment" to bilk Falun Gong practitioners out of the money they had been able to scrape together with difficulty. Lao Yang shared part of the deceptively obtained money with National Security personnel. She used another part of the money to buy a house in the name of her own company, to establish a place where she could lure Falun Gong practitioners to assemble for what she alleged would be experience sharing. Another part of the money was spent on truth clarifying materials which she had the Falun Gong practitioners make. However, Lao Yang later turned over all of those materials to National Security personnel. The Falun Gong practitioners in China that Lao Yang cheated were not people of means, and without their regular salaries they would have had no money at all.
The Shanghai National Security Bureau uses agents like Lao Yang to secretly monitor Falun Gong practitioners one moment, and financially ruin them the next. They precisely fulfill the persecution policy mandates formulated by Jiang and the "610 Office"* to eradicate Falun Gong: "Defame their reputations, devastate them financially and destroy them physically."
In Shanghai, Lao Yang also assisted the National Security Bureau by secretly watching and testing those who had accepted the brainwashing under pressure, to see whether they resumed practicing Falun Gong. Lao Yang introduced me to agent "Xiao Luo" through another fellow practitioner (according to Lao Yang, the practitioner's name was Wang Jinrui). Xiao Luo not only discovered that I had withheld Dafa information from Lao Yang, but he also set up a trap, asking the National Security personnel to test me to determine whether I had been successfully brainwashed. In the course of the whole operation, the National Security personnel played their roles, such as illegally detaining me, framing me with accusations, bullying me, enticing me with benefits, threatening me, feigning good intentions, attempting to brainwash me and controlling Lao Yang and Xiao Luo.
Their purpose was twofold:
1) To collect information about Falun Gong practitioners in China and then persecute them.
2) To obtain information about Taiwanese and overseas Falun Gong practitioners, secretly monitor them and then verify the validity of the information.
The various means utilized by National Security special agents to persecute Falun Gong practitioners are unconscionable, and belong in the category of psychological warfare. They utilize the external environment or the substance of conversations to build a deceptive appearance of differentiation, fear and isolation, which subjects practitioners to intense mental and spiritual pressure. When their mind and spirit cannot withstand any more, they are coerced into cooperating with the persecution.
National Security special agents also analyze the substance of conversations among Falun Gong practitioners in order to discover and exploit their attachments, which will serve as a basis for creating situations that will shake their righteous faith in Falun Dafa and the Teacher. Of course, if these practitioners can endure from the basis of saving all beings at any moment, openly and straightforwardly resisting the persecution, clarifying the truth and sending forth righteous thoughts, then the attempted coercion will be in vain, even when the practitioners are unaware of the deception. This is because nothing can move a practitioner once all human attachments have been abandoned.
From my personal experience, I will expose several means used by the Shanghai National Security Bureau to persecute Falun Gong:
When National Security special agents received their training in how to persecute
Falun Gong practitioners, much of the jargon was actually borrowed from the
secret brainwashing conducted by the then regime in China on the first batch of
victims, before the various personnel in National Security, Public Security and the "610 Office" took over the task. For example, when Falun Gong practitioners try to clarify the truth, they would put forth a series of questions: "Do you have evidence? Do you validate it? Does Clearwisdom.net check and validate it? How can you speak carelessly without evidence?" This technique of making a false countercharge is used to brainwash the victims and accumulate negativity; on the other hand, they are resisting the chance to face the truth, which is directly related to the education and long-term training that special agents obtain. This training would include such things as being suspicious of everything, rigid action upon orders without independent thinking, biting whoever the "higher authorities" tell them to bite, and not hesitating to say that white is black as long as they can achieve their aims.
In fact, Jiang clearly knows that the forces and organizations persecuting Dafa will break up when all personnel in National Security and Public Security see the truth and realize that it is futile to persecute Falun Gong practitioners through the use of lies. However, in order to maintain personal fortunes and power, and to maintain the persecution, Jiang's small political clique never hesitates to deceive and betray all of the National Security personnel, Public Security police and those people who have accepted the brainwashing under pressure. Thus, these people become the hatchet men and criminals that are utilized by the persecution movement to commit fraud and deceive the world. Within this terrorism, espionage is built upon links within links; each link is entrapping others, until finally, each one is driven to become one of the minions of Jiang's regime and their criminal partners.

An international Chinese-language television station that had been founded by North American Chinese said yesterday that it was facing pressure from the Chinese government about the possibility of broadcasting in Taiwan via satellite.
"As New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) dares to reveal dirty truths behind many issues related to China, our cooperation with international satellite companies has been constantly disrupted or terminated by the Chinese government. As a result our satellite system which was to provide live broadcasts to Taiwan has been locked," said Yingchuang Liu, professor of Economics at National Taiwan University as well as the Taiwanese representative of NTDTV.
According to Liu, those who want to view NTDTV's programs currently have to use a decoder.
"Right now, we are looking at working with another satellite company that is not afraid of the Chinese government so that we will finally be able to broadcast our programs freely to the people in Taiwan," Liu said.
NTDTV, a non-profit organization, was founded in New York in February last year to provide international news and a variety of television programs to various Chinese communities in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
According to Liu, NTDTV's news coverage on topics such as Falun Gong and SARS has been objective. "We take pride in our international news," Liu said.
In November NTDTV's documentary on China's crackdown on Falun Gong practitioners at Tiananmen Square won an honorary award at Columbus International Movie Festival. [Editor's note: In fact it's the film "False Fire", which reveals that the so-called "Tiananmen self-immolation" was set up by Chinese government in order to defame Falun Gong.]
"We want to become the CNN in the Chinese world, and news is our top priority. Our ideology is to emphasize human rights, democracy and freedom; furthermore, our stance is unbiased and is not swayed by any government," Liu said.
"Although we want to broadcast live programs free of charge to Taiwanese audiences, we are facing challenges," he said.
Liu said that due to the difficulties presented by getting access to satellite broadcasts to Taiwan, residents will have to be content with watching the station's Internet broadcasts.
NTDTV has been providing free satellite service and around-the-clock programs to worldwide Chinese communities for almost two years and has now set its sights on Taiwan.
"As Taiwan's democracy and freedom of speech goes along well with the ideology of NTDTV, Taiwan becomes an ideal place to work with," Liu said.
NTDTV has also received support from Huang Hui-chen , director-general of the Government Information Office.
At present NTDTV provides programs in Mandarin and Cantonese. In addition to news, it offers 11 types of television programs, including business and finance, health and children's shows.

held a candlelight vigil, outside of the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo, to commemorate Falun Gong practitioner Liu Chengjun from Jilin Province who passed away on December 26. . Practitioners strongly called for holding the murderers responsible and punishing head criminal Jiang Zemin. Liu Chengjun was one of the practitioners responsible for tapping into cable TV networks in Changchun City to broadcast the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa in March 2002, having no other avenues to let the public know the facts.
Around 8:00 p.m. on March 5, 2002, eight channels on the Changchun cable TV network aired "Falun Dafa Around the World," "Self-immolation or Staged Event" and other truth-clarifying programs. The broadcast lasted for 40-50 minutes without interruption. As the programs on Falun Gong broadcast facts about Falun Dafa that were completely different from the authorities' defamatory propaganda, it caused a great sensation in Changchun City. After the broadcast, nearly 5,000 Falun Gong practitioners were arrested in Jilin Province. Liu Chengjun was arrested on March 24, 2002. The police shot him twice in the leg, even though he was already in handcuffs. He was later sentenced to 19 years in prison. Liu Chengjun is the eighth Falun Gong practitioner who has been verified as having been tortured to death due to the TV tapping incident. Eyewitnesses said there were bloodstains near Liu Chengjun's nose, in his ear and on his thighs, and the authorities immediately cremated his body without conducting any autopsy the same day that he died.
One Falun Gong practitioner participating in the activity said that she learned the news of Liu Chengjun's death from the Internet, she was very sad. She still remembered that in March 2002 during the human rights conference in Switzerland, she first heard that Jiang ordered "kill (Falun Gong practitioners) without pardon" after the broadcast in Changchun, and more than 5,000 practitioners were arrested. One year and nine months later, Jiang regime, disregarding the law and the calling of justice from the international community, tortured Liu Chengjun to death. She was very sad. She said that last year Amnesty International headquarters issued an Urgent Action statement for personal security of those Falun Gong practitioners arrested after the Changchun City's TV broadcast. With the concern of the world's opinions, there were still eight practitioners who were tortured to death. It's not hard to imagine how many more practitioners there are, whose names are unknown, but were murdered in China. She hoped that the appealing activity would call for more strength from all to join in and help stop the brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang who just came from China not long ago said Liu Chengjun's death reminded her of the atmosphere of terror that covered northeastern China when the mass arrest of Falun Gong practitioners occurred after the TV tapping incident. She said that Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong and the information blockade was the reason that tapping into state TV was necessary in order for the public to learn the facts about the persecution. In China, Falun Gong practitioners' freedom of speech and right to enjoy the protection of law were stripped away. Falun Gong practitioners broadcast the truth through tapping into TV networks to allow the public, whose minds have been deceived by Jiang regime's lies, to know the truth and can be considered a righteous act.
Practitioner Ms. Liu's speech was very inspiring. "December 26 was the day Liu Chengjun passed away, it was also the day when the Chinese authorities announced that people infected by SARShad reappeared in Guangzhou City. I hope the coincidence can remind people of the tremendous harm brought to the public by the Jiang Regimelies and information blockade . People who have gone through this painful experience have realized that exposing the lies will help the world avoid a possible disaster. I believe one day people will cherish the best wishes Liu Chengjun brought to our world. He gave his life to expose Jiang's lies that destroy humanity's fundamental morality, and safeguarded the dignity of 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance'. Liu Chengjun is our nation's pride."
The same evening, Japan Minghui School teachers and students also arrived to commemorate Liu Chengjun.

They also called for the punishment of those responsible, to bring Dictator Jiang to justice, and to end the persecution of Falun Gong.
Mr. Liu was a participant in the March 5, 2002, TV tapping to broadcast the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong to the Chinese people. Their courage shocked the world and dealt a big blow to Jiang Zemin. Mr. Liu was then arrested and had subjected to severe torture and abuse. At 4am on December 26, Mr. Liu Chengjun died after 21 months of torture and abuse by Jiang's regime.
In the press conference, the spokesperson of Falun Dafa Association in Victoria Ms. Ana Caterina Vershaka gave a speech entitled "Who is the criminal? Who is safeguarding the Law and Social Order?-Dignity and Heroism Displayed in China Despite the Brutal persecution and Groundless Slander." In the speech, she commended the courage of Mr. Liu who clarified the truth about Falun Gong by tapping into cable TV and she said Jiang Zemin who launched and implemented the persecution against Falun Gong is the criminal. The persecution has resulted in more than 800 deaths and thousands of families have been torn apart.
" History has taught us that we must confront evil and speak out. Silence can only indulge brutality," Ms. Vershaka said.
She also called upon the international community to help to end the persecution.

One practitioner read Liu Chengjun's personal experiences, including how he was tortured to death and how his body was immediately cremated to hide the evidence.
According to the investigative report on Liu Chengjun's case from the "World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong" [WOIPFG] on October 29, 2003, Liu Chengjun once held a hunger strike in Jilin Prison and about 100 more Falun Gong practitioners detained there also held hunger strikes in succession. They protested the brutal persecution of all Dafa practitioners.
After the broadcast of truth-clarifying programs, it sent shockwaves among the Chinese people. Many people learned the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. Jiang Zemin who directed the persecution campaign was very scared, and snet out a secret order to "kill [Falun Gong practitioners] without pardon." After his order, more than 5,000 Falun Gong practitioners in Changchun were arrested. At least six of them were tortured to death, another 15 practitioners were illegally sentenced to imprisonment from 4 years to 20 years. Practitioner Hou Mingkai who also involved in the broadcast was arrested on August 21, 2002, and tortured to death within two days. At least eight Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death because of the broadcast in Changchun.
The statement emphasized in the end that all murderers persecuting Falun Gong practitioners would be punished by law, with no exception for head criminal Jiang Zemin. All evil policemen and the murderers in Changchun City who persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in large areas due to the broadcast on March 5, 2002, would definitely be punished!

A Chinese man jailed for [intercepting] cable television and broadcasting footage of the banned Falun Gong spiritual movement has died in prison, according to the group's website.
The group said that Liu Chengjun had suffered "cruel torture" and that eyewitnesses described blood stains all over his body.
Liu was serving 19 years in prison in the northern province of Jilin for his part in the 2002 protest.
He was one of 15 Falun Gong members who [...]broadcast around 40 minutes of pro-Falun Gong material on a cable TV station in Changchun, capital of Jilin.
The Falun Gong website said that he died on 26 December in a civilian hospital.
It said that his body had been cremated on the same day without an autopsy.

Members of Falun Gong handed in a lawsuit to Taiwan's Highest Court against the one time leader of the People's Republic of China, Jiang Zemin, and other Chinese Communist leaders for Genocide. The prosecutors invoked the 1948 UN Charter, which advocates punishing any criminal who has committed genocide. This defines genocide as: "Intentionally destroying all or part of a race, a religious community, killing members of a group or simply doing them harm.
Jiang Zemin started an anti-Falun Gong campaign in 1999. According to the Falun Dafa Information Centre, during the persecution that Jiang instigated, 822 people have lost their lives. However, Chinese government officials claim this number to be over 1600. Tens of thousands of Falun Gong believers have been arrested and sent to labour camps without any legal procedures.
Falun Gong, also called Falun Dafa, is a way of cultivation based on the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance with a history of several thousand years. Falun Gong had 100 million practitioners in China. Since 1992, its amazing speed of development triggered fear and panic in the leaders of the Communist Party. They think that Falun Gong is a serious threat to their power base.

Facts of the Persecution
Zhongxinjie Elementary School teacher, Ms. Wu Xinmei of Hengshui City, Hebei Province has been detained many times for practicing Falun Dafa. Since 2001, she was forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being wrongfully arrested at home. The city's "610 Office" and the Education Department have been persecuting her for the past four years. They detained her for 16 days in her school, extorted 2,800 yuan from her, didn't allow her to work, and have withheld her salary since May 2000.
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Wentao from Shulan County, Jilin Province has been sentenced to 13 years in prison by the Chuanying District Court, and is now jailed in sector no.1 of Tiebei Prison in Changchun City. Before October 1st, 2003, the National Day, police beat him with a metal rod and a wooden stick until his whole body was covered with bruises. Then they locked him in the small cell, where he has been ever since.
Former Chief Secretary Liu Xiping (male) of Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province and Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Li directed the "610 Office" to brainwash about 300 Falun Dafa practitioners living in the district, torture them and extort large amounts of their money. The current committee secretary ignores kind advice, and continues to encourage the "610 Office" personnel to violate human rights. On August 27, 2003, the police and "610 Office" personnel worked together to abduct Falun Dafa practitioners, ransack their homes, and hold a brainwashing class on August 29, 2003. The second in command of the Political Security Team in Yangxin County, Hubei Province Song Shengqiang (male) has been actively involved in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners since July 20, 1999. He said himself that he was responsible for all Falun Gong cases in the County. Before the 16th Party Congress in 2002, he abducted a high school teacher named Guo (a Falun Dafa practitioner) and brought the teacher to a Huangshi City brainwashing center. Under this pressure, Guo panicked and had a nervous break down. Guo jumped down from the second floor and was knocked unconscious when he hit the ground. He also broke his leg, which has not yet healed. Another retired elementary school teacher, Ms. Wu is almost 70 years old. Song grabbed her hair, and punched her head against the wall, which made her head swell with many big bumps. Song also slapped her face, pinched her arms, and beat her hands so that they were covered with purple and blue bruises. Song has extorted tens of thousands yuan from Falun Dafa practitioners.
The following are the facts surrounding the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the Hehuakeng Labor Camp of Tangshan City, Hebei Province: Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Wei Danquan had heart attacks on many occasions, and passed out a few times. He was suffering from tuberculosis, and had to be released. Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Liu Jianbo was "tied up"iv by police officer Wang Yulin (male) for shouting "Falun Dafa is Good!" All the rest of the Dafa disciples protested this cruel torture, and the police sent them to the strictly controlled group, among them were Dafa disciples, Mr. Gao Guochang, Mr. Yin Guihua, Mr. Zhang Xiaolong, and Liu Jianbo.
On November 16, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Xu Fei, Mr. Zhao Chuanhai and one other unknown practitioner wanted to exercise openly. Police Team Leader Liu Zhongke (male) sent them to the strictly controlled group. Both hands and feet of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Jun were cuffed to a metal bed in the strictly controlled group, which caused him to have high blood pressure. He went on hunger strike on November 12, 2003 to protest. Around the same time, Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Liu Xiyong was sent to the strictly controlled group again from the third team.
Around May or June 2001, police in the Kaiping Labor Camp, Tangshan City, Hebei Province started brainwashing Falun Dafa practitioners. Many Falun Dafa practitioners have been tortured, for example they've been deprived of sleep, shocked with electric batons, brutally beaten, forced to sit on a small stool for long periods of time, and forced to stand for long periods. Each practitioner was isolated from other practitioners. "Collaborators" would then take turns trying to brainwash them with their brainwashed thoughts.
"610 Office" personnel in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province started a new round of persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in July to August 2003. They abducted several tens of Falun Dafa practitioners and brought them to the Chikan "Law Education School," which is actually a brainwashing center, forced practitioners to write guarantee statements and tortured steadfast practitioners mentally. At the end of September 2003, 610 officers sent Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Tongying and eight others to the Sanshui Labor Camp, where they were tortured both mentally and physically.
Corrupted officials in Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province held a brainwashing class on December 22, 2003, and are bent on torturing Falun Dafa practitioners. They have abducted four practitioners already, and plan to abduct more. These four are Zhao from Maanshan Village, Hongkeli Town, Chen from Weizigou Town, Ms. Li Guijuan from Dongnantun, Dalianhe Town, and Mr. Ma Honggang from Hongji Village, Dalianhe Town. Mr. Ma Honggang has escaped.
Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Wenlian has been abducted twice from his work and sent to labor camp since October 2001. Because of the extreme conditions in the labor camp his entire body became swollen and his muscles became weak. His term ended in October 2003, but he was sent directly to the Heishijiao Brainwashing Class where he is now. His physical condition has been worsening, and he is on hunger strike to protest, requesting release.
Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Chen Qingqu, among others who are detained in the Nanchang City Labor Camp of Jiangxi Province are on hunger strike to protest. Among them, Mr. Xiaoyuanguang has been on hunger strike for more than 100 days. He is protesting because the police illegally changed his term to three years in labor camp when his 100-day term ended.
(Clearwisdom.net) Xuchang City in Henan Province is a major production center for wig products in China. When the Henan Province No. 3 Forced Labor Camp was on the verge of bankruptcy, the labor camp abducted many Falun Gong practitioners and forced them to do slave labor making wig products for export. The labor camp survived and prospered this way. Qu Shuangcai, the former labor camp head, is favored by his superiors for his zeal in persecuting Falun Gong. In May 2003 he was transferred to the Shibalihe Female Labor Camp in Zhenzhou City and put in charge of that labor camp. Right away he signed a contract with Henan Rebecca Hair Products, Inc. in Xuchang City. In addition, within several months, three female Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death.
No. 3 Labor Camp Gets Rich Exploiting Falun Gong Practitioners' Labor
Yuzhou County (in Xuchang City) and Xuchang City, Henan Province is a major manufacturing center for wig products in China. Great amounts of them are sold to the U.S. and European markets. The chairman of the board of Henan Rebecca Hair Products, Inc, who is also the general manager and a distributor, resides in the U.S. Henan Province No. 3 Labor Camp in Xuchang City is located between Xuchang City and Yuzhou County. Many of these wig product factories don't hire many employees outright; instead, they rely heavily on the slave labor of detainees in forced labor camps, jails and detention centers, including many illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners.
Guard Shen Jianwei from No. 3 Labor Camp often said, "A while back, when the labor camp was short of funding and was about to be shut down, many Falun Gong practitioners became available. The government allocated 20,000 Yuan to 'reform' each practitioner. The labor camp used eight million Yuan of government funding to construct residential buildings to encourage the guards to persecute these practitioners." Right now, the labor camp is "buying" Falun Gong practitioners from other places for 800 Yuan each, as slaves to increase the volume of products. Whoever shouts "Falun Dafa is good" at the labor camp is tortured.
Qu Shuangcai Escalates the Persecution of Falun Gong, Leading to Disaster
Qu Shuangcai, head of the No. 3 Labor Camp, has committed countless crimes and has received retribution. Once, when riding a motorcycle, he ran into a wall and was hospitalized for five months. Unfortunately, he didn't repent. Instead, he is favored by his superiors and was transferred to the Shibalihe Female Labor Camp in Zhenzhou City and promoted to head of that labor camp. Right away he signed a contract with Henan Rebecca Hair Products, Inc. located 120 miles away from the labor camp in Xuchang City, and brought straight jackets with him. Within several months three female Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death.
Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Yali, in her 30's, was one of the practitioners who were tortured to death by straight jackets. She was an accountant at the No. 2 Oil Extraction plant of the Oil Exploration Bureau in Henan Province. Her husband was the deputy manager of the plant. Their daughter is a junior high school student. Zhang Yali was very responsible in her job, worked hard and diligently, and was very kind. She proactively carried out her assignments at her job and was well liked by her colleagues.
The straight jackets are made of fine canvas. They are put on the victim from the front and tightened from behind the back. The sleeves are about 10 inches longer than the victim's arms, with straps on them. The persecutors force determined Dafa practitioners to wear the strait jackets, and then pull their arms to their backs, cross and tie their arms behind their backs. Then they pull their arms up over their shoulders to the front of their chest, tie up the practitioners' legs and hang them up in the air from the windows. At the same time, they gag practitioners' mouths with cloth, put earphones in their ears and continuously play messages that slander Dafa. According to an eyewitness account, people who suffer this torture quickly sustain broken arms, torn tendons, shoulders, wrists and elbows. Those who endure this torture for a long time have completely broken spines, and they die in agonizing pain. On May 22, 2003, a female Dafa practitioner in her 40's was tortured this way for one day and one night. When she was released from the strait jacket on May 23, her body was cold. In order to conceal their crime, the police ordered drug addicts, and criminals Yan Ping and Fu Jinyu to carry her body to a nearby hospital for an injection. Afterwards they claimed she died from a sudden illness and hastily cremated her body. Crimes Behind "National Civilized Work Unit"
Only male detainees are held at No. 3 Labor Camp of Henan Province in southwestern Xuchang City. More than 800 people, including illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners, are detained at this No. 3 Forced Labor Camp. They are forced to work overtime, day and night, under the high-pressure and cruel control of the guards. If the workers make a slight mistake, the guards slap, kick and verbally abuse them. This labor camp was awarded the "National Civilized Work Unit" citation from the Central Politics and Law Committee "610 Office" and the Labor Camp Bureau, for persecuting Falun Gong. At the time the award was put up, three detainees fainted from exhaustion.
Young practitioners Mr. Li Jian from Zhengyang County, Zhumadian City, and Mr. Yao Sanzhong, an outstanding teacher in Luohe City, were tortured to death at the labor camp. The labor camp authorities lied and claimed they died of "natural causes." When Dafa practitioners questioned the officials, they tied up the practitioners with ropes, taped their mouths shut, shocked them with electric batons, hit them with rubber clubs and subjected them to the "Tiger Bench" torture, in addition psychological torment. They also increased the practitioners' workload. If the practitioners do not complete them on time, they are not be allowed to sleep; they are forced to stand against the wall and their terms are illegally extended.
Names of Persecutors at the No. 3 Labor Camp
Aside from Qu Shuangcai, the former head of labor camp, guards at Henan Province No. 3 Labor Camp include Shi Baolong, Ma Huating, Tan Junmin, Ren Gaoqiang (the former political head of the Falun Gong Division, currently the head of the Education Section; he is very vicious) Dong Jianchao, Li Xinjie, Jia Zigang (head of the Falun Gong team, very vicious) and Zhao Zhimin. In order to make money for themselves and get promotions, they viciously persecute Falun Gong practitioners and extort money from them in a villainous manner. Falun Gong practitioner Wang Yukun from Anyang City was beaten until a bone in his leg broke; practitioner Pang Liang's arms were broken and nearly lost function, but the labor camp authorities would not allow them to have medical treatment and refused to release them. Falun Gong practitioners illegally detained at labor camps in Henan Province are being brutally persecuted and are completely deprived of their most basic human rights.
We call for all just governments, organizations, businesses and individuals to resist the sale and consumption of these wig products, which have on them the blood of Dafa practitioners who abide by the principle of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. "Tying the Rope"
"Tying the rope," a type of brutal torture, refers to putting a thin nylon rope around the back of a person's neck, and then wrapping it around both shoulders down to each arm, loop by loop, and then over each hand. The rope is tightened to its limit and it cuts into the flesh. Both arms are forced behind the back and raised to the extreme, and then both thumbs are tied with a rope and bound to the rope that goes around the back of the neck. The person tortured in this way is then kicked to kneel down on the floor. The rope is released about one hour later, and then the person is tied up like this again a second time, then a third time. Eventually arms can be dislocated and severe nerve damage can occur.
In May 2002, immediately after Dafa practitioner Liu Fubin was sent to the forced labor camp, he was locked up in a "small cell." Inside the second brigade, deputy captain Zhang Mingzhu, ordered prison police to strip Liu Fubin from the waist up, and started torture him by using the "tying the rope" method. After the tying the rope torture, policeman Zhang Mingzhu directed four criminal prisoners, including Jiang Yunxi and others, to monitor Liu Fubin 24 hours a day, deprive him of sleep for seven consecutive days and nights, and not allow him to lie down (only standing or squatting was permitted). He was not even allowed to blink his eyes; if he blinked, the inmates were ordered to beat and kick him. After releasing the ropes for period of time, they used this method to torture him again. Even today, there are scars from this torture left on Liu Fubin's body.
This forced labor camp uses the "tying the rope" torture on many Dafa practitioners. For example, it was used on Dafa practitioners Cui Ruhui, Li Jianlin, Ma Yuliang, Huang Yazhong, Li Zhongfu, and Ma Zhenyu. Lu Bingshen, who was tortured to death in October 2003, also suffered from this torture. In August 2002, Dafa practitioner Sui Honghai was brutally tortured with this "tying the rope," and one of his arms was broken and he became disabled.
Tiger Bench
The Tiger Bench torture uses a modified steel chair. The chair seat is a thick steel plate. The original chair armrests are modified with a rounded metal barrier. Sitting on the chair is like sitting in a cage. There are foot shackles underneath each front chair leg, which clamp both feet tightly; a nylon rope is used to tightly tie up the person; the upper arms are tied tightly behind the back, both lower arms are forced to the front to reach armrests on both sides, then two hand straps are used to bind the lower arms to the armrests. The person is tied on the tiger bench like this for long time, while he/she is tortured and brutally beaten.
In June 2002, the second brigade captain Wang Zhonghe and other prison police tied Liu Fubin on the tiger bench where they brutally beat and tortured him. The police violently beat Liu Fubin's face and ears with their fists, and broke Liu Fubin ears' soft bones. His ears became very swollen and disfigured. Even today, his ears still remain disfigured.
Rubbing the Skin
The prison police instigated criminal inmates Wang Qinglin and others to use their hands to briskly rub Liu Fubin's face until it became abraded. After this torture the skin on his face became abraded and raw.
There was an even worse torture method used to scour the skin. In the first brigade, the prison police instigated the criminal inmates to strip off Dafa practitioner Wang Tairen's clothes, then poured cold water on his body, and at the same time, used hard plastic brushes to scour the skin with a lot of force. This caused Wang Tairen's skin to become raw and severely infected all over his body. Afterwards, the prison police sent Wang Tairen to a clinic for treatment and lied to the doctors by telling them that Wang Tairen had a skin disease.
Pouring ice cold or boiling water
In September 2002, the prison police instigated criminal inmates Wang Qinglin, Jiang Fa, etc. to bring Liu Fubin to the water room. They stripped him of his clothes and poured ice water on his body. They did this twice, and each time the torture lasted for more than one hour. There was another time when they poured a cup of boiling water on Liu Fubin's leg which scalded his leg and left a scar.
Using criminal inmates to torture Dafa practitioners
By issuing sentence reductions as incentives, the labor camp directly manipulated criminal prisoners to assist in the persecution of Dafa practitioners. One of the main criminals who persecuted Liu Rubin was Wang Qinglin (who was also one of the key murderers who tortured Dafa practitioner He Huajiang to death in December 2002). Wand Qinglin was released after being rewarded with a prison term reduction of more than one year, because he followed the prison police's orders and tortured Dafa practitioners for the police on numerous occasions.
This is only a small sample of the crimes and brutality being committed by the prison police in the Daqing Forced Labor Camp. Police officers Zhang Mingzhu, Wang Zhonghe, and others are still committing evil deeds; they are encouraged and rewarded after torturing Dafa practitioners to death. Both of them are ruthless in their torture of Dafa practitioners.
The current situation of persecution of Dafa practitioners in Daqing City Forced Labor Camp
On October 16, 2003, the Daqing City Forced Labor Camp started another round of brutal persecution against Dafa practitioners. Practitioner Lu Bingshen was tortured to death, and other Dafa practitioners are still being persecuted.
On October 16, when Falun Gong practitioners were working, the people in charge of persecuting Falun Gong, deputy head of the labor camp Wang Yongxiang, second brigade captain Wang Xichun, deputy captain Zhang Mingzhu, administrative section chief Han Qingshan and deputy section chief Yang Tao, along with many prison police called Falun Gong practitioners back to the second brigade. They started another round of brutal persecution. The police forced Dafa practitioners Lu Bingshen, Hu Hongji, Liu Fubin, and Guo Fadong to sit on the tiger bench and brutally beat them. All practitioners went on a hunger strike to protest this persecution. Within three or four days, they tortured Lu Bingshen to death. While persecuting these four Dafa practitioners, the police also instigated the criminal prisoners to "clamp" other Dafa practitioners and put them under 24-hour surveillance. "Clamping" practitioners meant that two criminal inmates held practitioners' arms, one on each side, even while they walked, used the bathroom, and had meals; they didn't allow Dafa practitioners to talk to each other. To date, the situation remains the same, and there are still four Dafa practitioners being detained in a "small cell" separately, and being persecuted.

Qu Yanlai, a Falun Gong practitioner who is currently illegally detained in Tilanqiao prison in Shanghai, has been on a hunger strike for over 400 days to protest the unjust persecution of Falun Dafa. The violent and frequent force-feeding administered by the prison guards has caused bleeding in Mr. Qu's stomach, and because of the violent nature of the force-feeding he is being temporarily detained in the Tilanqiao Prison Hospital.
Qu Yanlai was born in 1977 and is a graduate of the Energy Engineering Department of Shanghai Jiaotong University. On the night of September 30, 2002, policemen from the Putuo District Police Station broke into his workplace dormitory and abducted Mr. Qu. Ever since then, he has been on a hunger strike to protest his unlawful arrest and detention.
Due to his health condition, his family requested that he be granted medical parole. But the head of the 8th Grand Team, where Mr. Qu was being detained, refused, stating: "He has no choice but to either end his hunger strike and eat, or renounce Falun Gong."
Here, we would like to call upon the international community, human rights organizations and Falun Dafa practitioners to rescue Mr. Qu Yanlai by all means necessary.

(Clearwisdom.net) A few retired workers from Factory No. 134 in Xinxiang City, Henan Province, have benefited a great deal both physically and mentally since they started practicing Falun Gong.
On July 20, 1999, Dictator Jiang Zemin began persecuting Falun Gong. In order to appeal to the government and tell the facts about Falun Gong, these practitioners went to Beijing. At that time, police, plainclothes officers, security guards, and paramilitary police were stationed all over the place. Every person passing by was asked whether he or she was a Falun Gong practitioner. If the answer was "yes," the person was taken into a police car. If they answered "no," the person was forced to swear at Falun Gong's founder, Teacher Li Hongzhi, as proof they didn't practice Falun Gong.
In addition to beating Falun Gong practitioners, the police also detained them, sentenced them to jail terms, and sent them to forced labor camps with out trial. The political and judiciary commission at the Hongqi District of Xinxiang city also fined practitioners large sums of money (those who went to Beijing once were fined 35,000 yuan [500 yuan is an urban worker's monthly salary.]. They were fined 70,000 yuan if they went twice). Several Dafa practitioners from Factory No.134 went to Beijing to appeal. When they came back, they were fined, but they did not agree to pay these arbitrary fines. As a result, the political and judiciary commission took the money by freezing the Factory's bank account and seized more than 200,000 yuan from the Factory's production capital fund. The Factory administration also suspended these practitioners' retirement pension, which has not been fully paid to date.
Ms. Wang Kaiying is a retired worker from Factory No.134. In 1999, she was illegally detained for 15 days for practicing Falun Gong in Xinxiang City's Muye Park. Afterward, she went to Beijing to validate Dafa, but was again jailed for 15 days. In May 2000, a picture exhibition was held at the Xinxiang Culture Palace to defame Falun Gong. To prevent this exhibition from deceiving people, Ms. Wang went to the Culture Palace and joined a Falun Gong group practice that was held there to allow people to learn the truth about Falun Gong. Finally, the picture exhibit was taken down. Yet, Falun Gong practitioners were persecuted even more viciously.
The Police abducted Ms. Wang Kaiying and took her to the Rongxiao Road Police Station. Police chief Wu Jianrui and Cao Zhanhong interrogated her all afternoon. When they left, Wang Kaiying, a woman over fifty years old, was forced to stand upright the entire night as a form of punishment. The next day, these Dafa practitioners were forced to balance bottle caps on their heads. If the bottle caps fell off at any point, the police would beat the practitioners and slam their heads against the walls. Wang Kaiying suffered injuries to her head and a fist-size bruise. In the afternoon, these practitioners' had their hands cuffed and they were hung up by the handcuffs to an iron rail. Their feet, far from the ground, were lightly touching a barely reachable wooden stool, which could be easily kicked aside. In this way, these Dafa practitioners were hung up for several hours. Wang Kaiying received bruises and bloody blisters on her wrists.
In December 2000, Wang Kaiying went to Beijing again to validate Dafa. She was intercepted while en route in Anyang City. The Hongqi Police took her back and detained her for 15 days. Her detention was extended many days, and she was sent to the Changhuan County Detention Center. The Detention Center director beat every Falun Gong practitioner that arrived. The director struck Wang Kaiying the hardest. After a slap, the director demanded, "Do you give up [the belief of Falun Gong] or not?!" Wang Kaiying firmly answered, "Never!" The director continued the torture. When the director's hand began to hurt, he hit her with a wooden board. The torture only stopped when the director grew tired and dropped the board. Wang Kaiying's face was horribly disfigured, bloody and badly injured. Her face, nose, and eyes had become purple and swollen out of proportion.
Wang Kaiying subsequently was sentenced to three years of forced labor and sent to Zhengzhou City's Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp. In the Camp, Falun Gong practitioners are monitored by inmates, under direction of the camp guards, and they do not permit the practitioners to speak. If practitioners violate any of their directives they are tortured. Smaller acts of resistance are punished with beating and binding with ropes, while more determined efforts to resist the persecution are punished with even crueler tortures, such being tied up for extended periods in straightjackets specifically designed for torture. Guang Ge, a 32-year-old fellow practitioner from Henan Normal University in Xinxiang City, was tortured to death in this way.
Wang Kaiying has undergone similar acts of persecution. Because of her unshakeable faith in Falun Dafa, the police at the forced labor camp recently extended her jail term.

"There is a plainclothes police officer on this bus who is following good people illegally instead of arresting thieves."
One day, a plainclothes agent followed a Dafa practitioner onto a bus. A gang of thieves happened to be robbing people on the bus at the same time. When the bus arrived at the next stop, two of the thieves got out. The practitioner then told the passengers on the bus, "Two thieves just got off of this bus after stealing. There is a plainclothes police officer on this bus who is following good people illegally instead of arresting the thieves." The agent could no longer sit calmly. The practitioner's words also got the attention of the two other thieves who were still on the bus. At the next stop, those two other thieves hurriedly got out of the bus. The practitioner then told the passengers again, "The other two thieves just got off the bus, but the plainclothes police officer pretended he did not know. They only monitor good people instead of arresting bad people. You all see it. They get paid by the state and the public but they are only good at persecuting people." The agent still tried to remain calm. When the bus got to the next stop, the practitioner stood up and said to all the passengers, "After I get off this bus, if you see anybody calling his superior using his cellular phone, he would be the special agent." At that moment, the agent had his cellular phone out but dared not to make the phone call. He could only watch the practitioner leaving.

One day, a Dafa practitioner went out. A plainclothes secret agent was waiting outside on the street pretending to write something down on his mobile phone. The agent followed the practitioner and stayed about 50 meters behind him. The practitioner turned back and walked up to the agent. He said, "Why are you following a good person? What you are doing is illegal." The agent still tried to deny it, pretending that nothing had happened, and kept writing on his cellular phone. But he continued to follow the practitioner. The practitioner saw the agent looking so shameful. So he took out a camera, pointed it at the agent, and told people on the street, "He is a special agent and following a good person." The agent could no longer stay calm and ran away.
The practitioner pointed to the agent and told his friend, "He is following me."
A special agent got on a bus and sat behind a practitioner. When the practitioner got off the bus, the agent also followed and called his team with a cell phone to give information on his location. The practitioner suddenly turned around and stared at the agent. The agent then turned his eyes away and told his partner on the phone that he had been exposed and asked another agent to follow. Another agent then came to follow the practitioner. The practitioner then walked up to the second agent and looked him in the eyes directly. The agent still pretended to be calm and picked up a newspaper to read. The practitioner then reversed his position and began following the agent closely. If the agent stopped, the practitioner would stop too. If the agent walked, the practitioner would walk too. The agent saw his identity had been revealed and that he was now being followed by the practitioner. The agent became a little timid but he still did not want to leave. At that moment, an acquaintance of the practitioner passed by. The practitioner then pointed to the agent and told his friend, "He is following me." His friend became very angry and immediately went up to ask the agent why he was following people. The agent lied and said he was waiting for someone and left immediately. The friend then asked the practitioner why he had been followed. The practitioner said, "Because I am a Falun Gong practitioner; they use such tactics to follow and abduct us." His friend said, "Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. I know that."

(Clearwisdom.net) I was sentenced to a 10-year prison term because I committed the crime of homicide. I have been imprisoned since December 28, 2002, during which time I have been lucky enough to get acquainted with some Dafa practitioners. Their selflessness and kindness have deeply moved me. I admire them. They work hard and don't complain no matter what they do. Whenever someone encounters difficulties, they offer to help if they can. They are all good persons in the society. Their hearts and their deeds demonstrate that. We all should learn from them.
Previously, when the TV reported that Falun Gong practitioners had done certain things I believed it. But now, after having the chance to know them, I find they are totally different from what the state-run media portrayed. They don't kill people nor do they commit suicide. Committing suicide is viewed as committing a sin by Falun Gong practitioners. I personally witnessed that they don't even kill insects. They are not against the government, and they are not interested in politics. They don't care how other people treat them. They never bad-mouth those who have tortured them. To those government entities and individuals that have persecuted them, they always patiently clarify the truth. To say it in their words, they only want to save the sentient beings and teach people to do good things. It is indeed so. I hold that it would be very nice if everyone in our society could behave like them. There would be so many fewer people committing crimes. How nice it would be if everyone could be self-disciplined, pay attention to morality, and become a person of high moral standards.
Another thing is that they all have respect and loyalty for their Teacher, and hold a righteous belief toward Dafa. They insist on practicing Falun Gong exercises every day. What allows me to admire them most is that if they would only write a letter and give an oral statement that they would give up practicing Falun Gong, they would be released. However, they just don't do that. Just imagine, how many people in the society could reach this standard of integrity? Many people would trade moral integrity for fame and personal interest. It is the reason why I admire Dafa practitioners. I hope there will be more Falun Gong practitioners in our society who strive to become a person with high moral standards. I hope everyone can come to pay attention to moral characteristics, do good deeds, and do well in his/her work. That way, our world will become a wonderful place.
During my imprisonment, the Dafa practitioners never discriminated against me. They helped me understand that I did commit a crime, no matter what my original intention was. They allowed me to understand the true meaning of life. They also helped me in everyday life, giving me daily necessities - clothing and food. What they have done proves that they are true cultivators of a righteous way with high moral standards.
I will remember what they told me, "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance are good!"

There are 150 families in our village. After someone first obtained the Fa in 1997, more than 40 people were practicing Dafa by July 20, 1999. After July 20, 1999, two local Dafa volunteer assistants were abducted by the authorities and illegally put into detention. The rest of practitioners were often harassed, called into the police station, threatened and put under surveillance day and night. Our relatives and families were also persecuted. Under such an immense burden, Dafa practitioners were not intimidated because of their determined and indestructible faith in Dafa. They continued studying the Fa and practicing at home, exchanging their experiences often with each other. They took advantage of every opportunity to tell the truth about Dafa to their friends and relatives. They promoted and validated the Fa to people rationally, based on true local stories by word of mouth and personal encounters. More new practitioners gradually joined the Dafa group. Now the entire village knows that Dafa is good and everyone praises Dafa.
Fa Study
During the past four years of Fa-rectification cultivation, the Dafa practitioners in this village forged a solid, inseparable group, with practitioners assuming their own roles to be responsible to themselves, and to sentient beings. Whenever they had questions or areas in which they lacked understanding, they would use the excuse of borrowing things or visiting so that several practitioners could get together. They took advantage of the opportunity to discuss and exchange experiences. They strove to raise their levels by checking their cultivation based on the teachings of the Fa.
They started studying the Fa and practicing in private after July 20, 1999. After they became more mature in the Fa rectification, more than a dozen people would gather doing group study and practice. They formed new practice sites. The advancement of new practitioners also encouraged veteran practitioners to practice more diligently. Their open and aboveboard attitude, coupled with their rational and free behavior was well known by people near and far. Many times the deputies would come and try to track down the practitioners who posted Dafa flyers. Every time, the local village officials and people would block their efforts. Because the local Dafa practitioners had set such good examples, a lot of practitioners from nearby villages as well as from other areas came for experience sharing and discussions. At the same time, local practitioners were invited to go to other areas to exchange their experiences. This formed a much broader coverage for all practitioners to exchange experiences.
Clarifying the Truth
All local practitioners had fairly good understanding of the Fa rectification by Teacher. To save sentient beings, they clarified the truth to people and exposed the evil lies. Even new practitioners also participated by coming forward and putting Dafa materials in the hands of the people using a variety of innovative methods. This contrasted with the early days when they could only do so at night. They clarified the truth in turns and consistently. Overall, every family and everyone in the village had been reached and touched. A 68-year-old Dafa practitioner had achieved good results with people who were quite stubborn by using his own personal story.
Use every opportunity to clarify the truth: It was never a simple and isolated undertaking when Dafa practitioners visited each other, went to the market, or visited relatives and friends. They would clarify the truth in a few short sentences when they were at the market. However, when they visited relatives and friends it would be an opportunity for more in depth discussion until others truly recognized that "Falun Dafa is good." When they went to the hospital to visit patients, they also clarified the truth to doctors, nurses, patients and their relatives . A female practitioner said, "I don't care who comes to my house, even if my own brothers come, I will discuss nothing but how good Dafa is."
Once a Falun Gong practitioner came across twenty people resting near the field, and she knew only one of them. She exchanged greetings with the acquaintance. When her friend asked, "You look great. Looks like you are in good shape." In order for everyone to hear, she replied loudly, "People who practice Falun Gong are all healthy." She then went further, "You must be a good citizen as a Falun Gong practitioner. If you have a high standard of morality and virtue, then you will enjoy good health." She went on to tell the truth about the persecution, the defamation by China Central TV (CCTV), the fabricated charges, and why Falun Gong practitioners strive to be good people and will never commit wrongdoings. She told them a lot with her compassionate heart in front of all the unfamiliar faces. They also raised questions, which she answered one by one. Everyone liked her stories. Someone even said, "I better let a member of my own family start practicing, since her health is not good..."
Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts
Before they went anywhere to clarify the truth, all practitioners would study the Fa to adjust their mindset properly. Upon return, they would check their experience against the teachings of the Fa and determine whether their mindset and attitude met the standard of the Fa while clarifying the truth. Teacher said in "Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference,"
"As for whether the result is good, don't look at the other party, it comes from your minds. If you want it to be good then it will be good. And if you don't intend to make it good, or if your mind is unsteady, then it won't be easy to rectify things. In other words, you need to have strong righteous thoughts. If you're thinking, " I'm truly saving you. I'm truly telling you the facts," then the result will be good."
In addition to sending forth righteous thoughts in their own home at predetermined hours, they would send forth righteous thoughts before going out to clarify the truth so that all interference would be purged. They always send forth righteous thoughts before group study and practice. If they noticed that any fellow practitioner suffered from tribulations or was encountering interference, they would send forth righteous thoughts as a group to eradicate bad things with good results. As such, they seldom experience interference among practitioners.
A fellow practitioner, Liu, had experienced interference twice with stroke-like symptoms. The first time her face was contorted and she became unconscious for 8 hours. The second time she fainted suddenly and all four limbs became stiff. She passed out for one whole night. After she woke up the next day she could not move freely and could not talk coherently. More than ten practitioners formed a circle around her to send forth righteous thoughts. She regained her senses right away and fully recovered after five days. Other people who witnessed these two recoveries without any medicine and hospitalization were awed. Just about every nearby village had people who suffered strokes. Most of them ended up either paralyzed or moving with a cane. The miracle that took place with a Dafa practitioner made people truly appreciate the wonder of Dafa.
The news spread far and wide, and each day there were people coming to this practitioner's home to inquire about the details. This naturally presented itself as an excellent opportunity to clarify the truth. It was no wonder that afterwards groups of people who learned the truth about Dafa started their own journey on the path of cultivating Falun Gong.
New and Veteran Practitioners Strive Diligently Together
With the help of veteran practitioners, new practitioners improved quickly. 70-year-old practitioner Mrs. Wang started to experience body cleansing after just 20 days of practicing Dafa. The heart conditions that she suffered before recurred twice. Just as her children were trying to get her to the hospital and make funeral arrangements, Mrs. Wang woke up and told them, "Please don't be worried and scared. This is Teacher cleansing my body." Then she got up and walked back to the house. Her family members and neighbors who witnessed this were all amazed. They felt from deep in their heart the miracle of Dafa. Especially her son and grandson, who never believed such stories, now all witnessed it first hand with their own eyes. They were both overjoyed and ashamed since they could not repay Dafa for saving the life of Mrs. Wang. From this point on they actively supported their mother and wife in practicing Falun Gong. Another practitioner returned a garment that he picked up 20 years ago to the owner after just practicing less than 20 days.
All practitioners held themselves to a high standard in the course of cultivation, constantly examining their conduct according to the requirements of Dafa. They let things take place naturally so as not to disrupt the cultivation arrangement of Teacher. Once during a market day, none of the seven assistants felt like going to the market so they loaned their bicycles to others. But after breakfast, each of them went walking out into the village and ended up at the market. They greeted each other but wondered why they had all arrived at the market. After they all somehow met at the market they did not do anything there, but instead they all went to a practitioner's home. So in a short period, ten practitioners from 8 different villages had a 4- hour-long experience sharing session. This was truly a mini experience sharing conference arranged by Teacher.
At the same time all of the practitioners recognized that caring about each and every fellow practitioner, helping each other to make progress in understanding the Fa is by itself assimilating to the Fa. So they often visited all 8 different hamlets governed by the village and exchanged experiences at each practice site. They talked with practitioners who suffered long-term tribulations or interference and helped them to raise their understanding of the Fa. They also sent forth righteous thoughts as a group to eradicate the evil interference. For example, two practitioners, Chen and Mi, had suffered tribulations for ten months. After visiting them several times and sending forth righteous thoughts as a group, these two practitioners finally broke through the old forces' arrangement and reached the proper state that a Dafa practitioner deserves.
With such exemplary conduct, everyone around this village was well aware of
them. They all praise the boundless grace, the blessing of Teacher, and the
mighty power of
Dafa. Everywhere you go, whether it is in the fields, around the houses and
courtyard, or in streets and alleyways, you can hear people discussing, "If
everyone were like those who practice Falun Gong, then we would not need
deputies to manage us; there would be no need for the police or hospitals. We
would not have to worry about locking the door at night." "We wouldn't be
complaining that our children do not respect and take care of their elders." "It
is so shameful that CCTV keeps on slandering and lying about Falun Gong." "Just
look at those who practice Falun Gong; they strive for self-improvement without
having to depend on educational meetings (for raising awareness). Why is the
government prohibiting them from practicing?"
In the course of cultivation, Dafa practitioners realized that the cosmos has accommodated all lives and beings. Dafa practitioners must constantly purify themselves to reach the higher standard through their cultivation. To accomplish the three tasks set forth by Teacher is to save sentient beings, and that is the sacred mission of all Dafa practitioners. Teacher said in his article, "Dafa is Indestructible,"
"As a Dafa disciple, everything of yours is formed by Dafa and is the most righteous, and it can only be that [you] rectify everything that is not righteous.....Why did Fa-rectification have to be done? Because the beings in the cosmos no longer met the standard."
These Dafa practitioners have been quietly and resolutely cultivating during the Fa-rectification process, clarifying the truth, and saving sentient beings.
(Clearwisdom.net) The institute that I work for is a very famous biological research institute in the U.S. For this reason it attracts many top researchers from China. There is a post-doctorate who was a professor before he came to the US. He is also a group leader of more than 100 people and his department has an annual income of up to 10 million Yuan. He himself has even been selected among "the Ten Best Youth" in his city.
When he first came to our institute a year ago, he always refused to comment when I talked about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. His mentality of being a long-term leader made him believe that the people in power would maintain their role and that there must have been important reasons to persecute Falun Gong. Under the influence of the evil propaganda from China, he doubted the truth of Dafa.
We were not working on the same project, but due to his language difficulties, he came to ask for my help every now and then. I also helped him out with technical problems. I even went to the hospital with him when his child got sick. I was trying to follow "Do but pursue not." (Hong Yin) After a year we have become such good friends that we can talk about anything. He's made great developments in his research as well, so he was happy too. Recently, in my office, the topic of Falun Gong came up again.
"Someone said that you are involved in politics, but it doesn't seem like that to me. It's said you are against science, but you are working right in the field of the scientific frontier, the propaganda in China are simply lies! Falun Gong is just a way of spiritual cultivation, there is nothing bad about it!" His words touched me. He can finally see Dafa and the practitioners with a clear mind.
He went on to say, "In fact all of the people who came over from China realized that Falun Gong is nothing like how it's mentioned in that propaganda from China." He said that his wife also ran into Dafa practitioners clarifying the truth when she was in Japan. Although they dared not to contact Dafa practitioners directly due to the pressure from their boss, they all got to know the truth in private. Even though the extent of each one's acknowledgement varies, they all know that Dafa practitioners are not like what is said in the Jiang regime's propaganda.
At that time, my computer was displaying a piece of news about a Dafa practitioner who was persecuted due to his appeal in Beijing. Upon seeing this, he said immediately, "You are not doing enough by only appealing in this way. You really should tell the truth directly to the common people in China, and explain the whole truth with your own experiences!" That's right, isn't that what Dafa practitioners all over the world are doing everyday?
Despite that many people don't realize that Falun Dafa is saving people, when the kindness of Dafa practitioners touches them, when their calm sides re-evaluate the great Buddha Fa, the words they speak are so close to practitioner's thoughts! This scholar's kind thoughts will bring him a glorious future.
(Clearwisdom.net) An extensive and relaxed environment for Fa-study and Fa-rectification is not something that can be achieved just by contemplation. Only actions that continuously break through notions and self-obstructions can do this.
Success without any difficulties is not acquired on demand; it can only be acquired by understanding the Fa within the Fa, and through our righteous thoughts and actions during our verification of the Fa.
Wisdom and capability do not exist because we say they do, but can only be continuously and unceasingly achieved by our genuine faith in our venerable Teacher and Dafa within the very basic nature of our lives.
The vitality of Fa-rectification amongst the human race is not realized just by hoping for it in our hearts; but by the firm, steady, and correct steps we take. It is the result of our every steadfast step.
Everything in the most glorious future is not due to our individual efforts; it is due to the benevolence of our venerable Teacher. The results are from the greatness of our venerable Teacher, and the profundity of Dafa that provides benevolent solutions for all sentient beings and brilliantly illuminates the entire cosmos.

1. [Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province] Officials Spend Huge Amount of Money in Running Forced Brainwashing Sessions
During July and August of 2003, government officials in Wenzhou City,
Zhejiang Province, ran illegal forced brainwashing sessions at the City's
Haining Social Club. They had already abducted eight Falun Dafa practitioners
and taken them to the forced brainwashing center spending nearly 200,000 yuan
on the forced brainwashing sessions. [500 yuan is the average monthly income
for an urban worker in China.] It is alleged that the depraved staff at the
forced brainwashing center had decided not to release these Dafa practitioners
until they broke them down and forced them to become men who would lie, curse
and sell the information about fellow practitioners' whereabouts to the police
in exchange for not being tortured. However, those eight illegally incarcerated
practitioners remained firm in their belief in Falun Dafa and immune to the
deceptive tactics of the authorities.
2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yao Hui Is Illegally Tried in a Secret Court
Jiang'an District Court in Wuhan City of Hubai Province illegally tried Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yao Hui. The court was afraid to announce the specific time and the date of the court session to prevent Dafa practitioners from sitting in the courtroom during the session. They also secretly changed the time and the date several times. Finally they decided to have the illegal trial at 7 am on Wednesday, December 3, 2003. The court has asked the police officers from different police stations to guard the courtroom and take into custody any Dafa practitioners who tried to enter the courtroom. The policemen used excessive force to sieze Dafa practitioners appearing in the court. They pulled Dafa practitioners by their hair and clothes, carried practitioners, and dragged practitioners across the floor to the police cars. They even had four or five policemen to sieze one practitioner.

3. [Northeastern China] A Falun Dafa Practitioner Brings Out the Good Conscience in a Policeman with Her Righteous Thought and Actions
A practitioner from Northeastern China was stalked and then siezed by a
police officer. She did not have any fear and shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good!" all
the way to the police station. Once in the police station, she immediately
started to clarify the truth of the persecution to the policemen. Her immense
compassion and forbearance brought out the good conscience in the policeman, who
then released her at risk to himself.
4. [Jilin Province] The "610 Office" Continues to Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners After It Has Been Renamed
After the "610 Office," in Jilin Province changed its name after receiving much international scrutiny, it has only become more vicious and active in its efforts to eradicate Falun Dafa. Mr. Tang Xianqiang is the head of the "610 Office" in Jilin Province and has tried very hard to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. The "610 Office" in Jilin Province has set up a secret forced brainwashing center at the 0 kilometer mark beside the Changchun Highway. It has used all kinds of tricks and deceit to try to force Dafa practitioners to write the so-called "Five Statements" [Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. Created by the "610 Office," the statements include a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners.]
5. [Jilin Province] Police Illegally Deceive Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Xing Guiling
At about 9:00 pm on November 29, 2003, a group of policemen illegally broke
into Ms. Zhang Shufen's home. They ransacked her home, looted Falun Dafa
materials and abducted Ms. Zhang Shufen. (Ms. Zhang's husband is also a Dafa
practitioner and is currently illegally incarcerated in Jilin Prison.)
The following afternoon, on November 30, policemen forced Ms. Zhang to call
Ms. Xing Guiling from her cellular phone to trick her into coming out where
police could arrest her. The police thus seized Ms. Xing. Her current
whereabouts are unknown and needs further investigation.
Ms. Xing Guiling's husband is also a Dafa practitioner and had been tortured
to death in August 2002. The police have also abducted Ms. Xing many times and
each time subjected her to brutal torture. Each time she was released
unconditionally because of her strong righteous thoughts. However, the police's
continuous harassment and persecution had forced Ms. Xing to leave home to avoid
further harassment and arrest, leaving her two underage children at home. She is
undergoing a tremendous amount of physical and spiritual tribulations at the
time of this news.
6. [Henan Province] Dafa Practitioners Ms. Su Yuying, Ms. Wang Jinhua and Mr. Zhu Yunlong Are Unlawfully Detained
Ms. Su Yuying is a 65-year-old Dafa practitioner who has retired from her
teaching job at the Yihe Road Primary School in the Zhongyuan District of
Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. On November 19, 2003, while Ms. Su was resting
at home, six men broke into her home. Three of them were from the Cultural,
Education and Sports Commission and the other three men were from the Yihe
Primary School, including the Headmaster, Mr. Zhang Xinmin. They lied to Su's
family saying that they would release Ms. Su in five days, and thus seized her
and took her to a forced brainwashing center. It has been over 50 days since Ms.
Su Yuying was taken away and her family still has no idea of her whereabouts.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Jinhua is a 53-year-old employee at the 4057
Factory in Zhengzhou City. In early November of 2003, Ms. Wang was abducted
while handing out truth-clarification materials. She is now illegally
incarcerated at the No. Two Detention Center in Zhengzhou City.
Mr. Zhu Yunlong is a 32-year-old Dafa practitioner in Zhengzhou City. He was
abducted by the local patrol police on the evening of September 12, 2003, while
handing out truth-clarification materials between Hanghai East Road and 107
National Highway. He was first incarcerated in the Guancheng District Detention
Center and then transferred to the Baimiao Forced Labor Camp after he was
illegally sentenced to one year in the forced labor camp.
7. [Sichuan Province] Dafa Practitioners Mr. Lin Rongman and Mr. Wu Shihai Suffer Mental Collapse as a Result of Torture
The disciplinary staff at the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang City,
Sichuan Province have forced Dafa practitioners Mr. Lin Rongman from Zhejaing
Province and Mr. Wu Shihai from Leshan, Sichuan Provine to suffer from mental
collapse as a result of the torture they received at the forced labor camp. The
disciplinary staff ordered five to six prison inmates to watch and torture Ms.
Lin and Mr. Wu around the clock every day.
8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Sun Yan and Other Determined Practitioners Are Transferred to the Longshan Forced Labor Camp
Recently, the women's platoon at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, has escalated its persecution against determined Dafa practitioners. In addition to torturing incarcerated Dafa practitioners using a variety of cruel methods, they also transferred three of the most determined Dafa practitioners to the Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, [to prevent them from reinforcing other Dafa practitioners' righteous faith in Falun Dafa.] Ms. Sun Yan was one of the three practitioners transferred to the Longshan Forced Labor Camp. The names of the other two practitioners are unknown.
Please be advised that the Dalian Workers University has installed surveillance cameras in their old and new school buildings. Fellow practitioners who are planning on clarifying the truth in the campus of Dalian Workers University should be vigilant at all times while at the campus.
9. [Xianing City, Hubei Province] Shaoxin Police Seize Falun Dafa Practitioner, Mr. Zhao Guoxing
The late October of 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Zhao Guoxing, of Xianning City, Hubei Province, hurried back to his hometown in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, because his brother-in-law had a car accident. Upon his arrival, he found that his family and the man who had hit his brother-in-law with his car were fighting and arguing with each other about the car accident. Policemen from the Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, arrested everyone involved in the conflict, but accidentally arrested Mr. Zhao Guoxing in error. Mr. Zhao explained to the policemen that he was a Dafa practitioner who conducted himself according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance and would never fight back when beaten or sworn at. It wasn't possible for him to join in the fight. The local policemen believed Mr. Zhao's words, but instead they released everyone who had participated in the fight and incarcerated Zhao Guoxing, who was innocent, simply because he was a Falun Dafa practitioner and lived according to the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Recently, Nanchang City Officials, Jiangxi Province, organized a so-called "Legal Theatrical Troupe," which was essentially a group of prison inmates spreading defamatory propaganda against Falun Dafa by touring the country with stage entertainment programs. Mr. Wang Yong is a Dafa practitioner and school teacher at the Weiyuan High School, Sichuan Province. He was illegally sentenced to one and half years in the forced labor camp. Afterwards, the local "610 Office" followed Jiang Zemin's policy of persecution, and even persecuted Mr. Wang's colleagues at Weiyun High School even though they did not practice Falun Gong in order to incite hatred against Falun Gong. The "610 Office" indefinitely suspended all end-of-year bonuses for the entire faculty and the staff of Weiyuan High School, and disqualified the school from competing with other schools in the performance competition. This is the 610 Office's further attempt to incite hatred against Falun Dafa among the people who are unaware of the truth about Dafa practitioners.

Persecute Dafa Practitioners
The following individuals, including staff of the "610 Office" of Jinma Town, Wenjiang County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province; Deputy Mayor of Jinma Town Mr. Peng Shijiang; Director of the Military Department of Jinma Town Mr. Lei Yong; Police Officers Mr. Zhou Lin, Mr. Gan Bing and Ms. Zhang Hong; and Luo (gender unspecified) from Jinma Town's No 13 Division, have been persecuting Dafa practitioners against their good conscience by abusing their power and authority in their respective jurisdictions in the past four years. Dafa practitioner Ma Qunhua (gender unspecified) from Jinma Town was seized and taken to the Xinjin Forced Brainwashing Center in June 2003 and has been incarcerated there since.
Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Jinxiu was kidnapped to the Yiqu District Women's
Prison in Longquan, Chengdu City in June 2002, and was sentenced to four years
in prison. Later the depraved police from Wenjiang Town's "610 Office"
transferred Ms. Tang to Wenjiang Detention Center. They have also extorted
30,000 to 40,000 yuan from Ms. Tang's husband. [500 Yuan is the average

15. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Yushu City Court Illegally Tries Dafa Practitioners Behind Closed Doors
Yushu City Court in Jilin Province illegally tried Dafa practitioners at 5:30 a.m.on November 17, 2003, without notifying any of their families. The practitioners secretly put on trial were Mr. Fan Junfeng, Mr. Zhao Jisheng, Mr. Yang Chunguang, Mr. Li Lin, Mr. Feng Lijun, Mr. Lu Shulin and Mr. Wang Shiqing. 20. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] The Police Sabotage A Dafa Material
Site
On the afternoon of September 15, 2003, the local police in Shouguang City, Shandong Province, sabotaged a Dafa material site. The police looted everything of value, including the equipment and practitioners personal savings. Dafa practitioners Mr. and Mrs. Cai Yingjun, as well as Ms. Xiao Ying (nickname, not her last name and first name), were illegally incarcerated in the Shouguang Detention Center.
Wang Guirong (gender unspecified) is a Dafa practitioner who had been forced to leave home to escape the persecution. On September 16, 2003, Wang went to a Dafa materials site to pick up Dafa materials after receiving a phone call from a fellow practitioner. As soon as Wang walked out of the Dafa materials site, the police, who were monitoring him seized Wang immediately. The police then ransacked the place and immediately looted everything of value. When the policemen broke into the location, they pried open the locked drawers and stole 10,000 yuan of personal savings, a personal computer, three printers, an audiocassette recorder, a TV signal transmitter, a mini-DVD/VCD player, and a 2,000-yuan monitor.
Four Dafa practitioners Li, Zhao, Yan and Song (genders unspecified) were also abducted on the scene. According to witnesses, when the police officers handcuffed them, two female practitioners shouted at the top of their voices, "Falun Dafa is Good!" But the policemen grabbed them by the throat to stop their voices. All the bystanders witnessed the actions of the police during the abduction. When the police ransacked the place, they looted everything of value, including personal cash, computer and office supplies. They even stole the laundry detergent powder and an air pump for the bicycles. The bystanders, who witnessed the police's open seizure and robbery, condemned the police for their violence and wrongdoing. Among the four practitioners, one was from Linju, Shandong Province. Two practitioners from Linyi, Shandong Province, have been sent back to the Public Security Bureau in their hometown. The other practitioner from Shouguang, Shandong Province, was sent to the Weifang Forced Brainwashing Center but has now been released home.
21. [Jiangxi Province] Dafa Practitioners Ms. Jiang Lanying and Ms. Chen Qin
Have Been Illegally Incarcerated in the Jiangxi Provincial Jail Hospital
Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Lanying has been illegally detained in the
Jiangxi Provincial Jail Hospital and has been on hunger strike for more than 8
months. As a result she became extremely weak and suffered from the torture of
abusive forced feeding every day. Another practitioner Ms. Chen Qin is suffering
from nephritis and severe dropsy. She is in critical condition right now, and
still detained at the Jiangxi Provincial Jail Hospital where she is subject to
torture instead of receiving appropriate medical care.
22. [Jianli County, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioners Ms. Hu Shunxian and
Ms. Hu Yinxian's Accounts of Their Persecution
Dafa practitioners Ms. Hu Shunxian and her sister Ms. Hu Yinxian are Dafa practitioners from Jianli County, Hubei Province. The local police stole the personal savings from each of them. Ms. Hu Yinxian dares not to return home where she is sure to be immediately arrested and is living in different places. The two sisters had been on, numerous occasions, unlawfully arrested, beaten up, detained in the detention center, and sent to a forced labor without trial.
23. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Song Xu Has Been Brutally Tortured in Xinmi Prison
Dafa practitioner Mr. Song Xu from Zhengzhou City, Henan Province has been on
hunger strike ever since he was illegally sentenced and sent to Xinmi Prison,
Henan province. The prison guards subjected him to forcefeeding as a method of
torture and used tubing into his nasal passage that was neither sterilized nor
intended for medical procedures. Because Mr. Song Xu refused to renounce Falun
Dafa, the prison guards ordered the inmates in his cell to slam his head against
the wall and used all sorts of brutal methods to try to force him to give up his
belief in the principles of Truth, Compassion and Forbearance. Having committed
no crime, Mr. Song refused to comply with his illegal detention by refusing to
wear the prison uniform. In order to force Song to wear the prison uniform, the
prison guards shredded all of his clothes rendering them unwearable. In the cold
weather, Song has no choice but to stay in bed all day long to stay warm. Song
has now become extremely emaciated, and has become so frail that he has to rely
on others' care.
24. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Longtushan Villa Forced Brainwashing Center in Sichuan Province Abduct and Persecute Many Dafa Practitioners
Longtushan Villa Forced Brainwashing Center personnel has abducted many Dafa practitioners. Mr. Wang Haiquan, Mr. Hu Yongqiang, Mr. Yang Zhili and many other Dafa practitioners have been abducted and illegally detained in the forced brainwashing center for several months. The disciplinary staff denied their families any visits with practitioners. They tried to threaten practitioners or deceive practitioners into renouncing their practice of Falun Gong. They even threatened to keep practitioners there indefinitely if they refused to renounce Falun Gong. They also threatened to sentence practitioners to the forced labor camp using fabricated charges.

Policeman Mr. Yu Xiaoshan from the Kuiwen District Branch of the Public Security Bureau in Weifang City, Shandong Province has been directing a group of corrupt officers to hunt down and illegally seize Dafa practitioners. This group officers, who act above the law, often ransack practitioners' homes, plunder their belongings, and loot anything in the home of value, especially home electric appliances. They often take practitioners away from home to the local forced brainwashing center. Officer Yu Xiaoshan alone has abducted many Dafa practitioners and sent them to the forced labor camp. On a day in September 2003, policemen Mr. Yu Xiaoshan and Ms. Liu Dadui from the Kuiwen District Branch of Public Security Bureau led a group of corrupt officers to ransack and loot a Dafa practitioner's home. They smashed the window with their elbow, and opened the door. Once the door was forced open, they swarmed all over the house stealing everything in sight. These corrupt police officers use their position to illegally arrest Dafa practitioners, send them to brainwashing centers then steal all their possessions for personal enrichment. In addition to these crimes, the police then extorted a fine from the practitioner's family by falsely claiming that a Dafa practitioner had hurt one of the officers.
26. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Undercover Policemen Are Monitoring a
Computer Store in Jintang County
The police sabotaged a Dafa materials site in Jintang County, Chengdu City,
Sichuan Province last week. It was most likely that an undercover policeman in
civilian clothes had followed a Dafa practitioner from a computer store where
the practitioner had gone to purchase blank CD-ROM's. Thus we learned that there
were undercover policemen monitoring the computer store and some other places in
Jintang County. Fellow practitioners should make sure that you are not being
followed after purchasing a large quantity of supplies such as paper and blank
CD-ROM's.
27. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Patrol Policemen Abduct Dafa Practitioner, Ms. Li Ailing
Dafa practitioner, Ms. Li Ailing, is a resident at the Tiyuchang Community in the Zhongchang Residential District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. On the evening of November 28, 2003, Jinzhou District patrol officers abducted Ms. Li Ailing. Witnesses said the patrol police officers, led by Director of the Neighborhood Committee Ms. Wang Guihua and some members of the committee, drove the police car straight to Ms. Li's home and then ransacked her home without any legal search warrant. As of the end of November 30, none of Li's family or friends knew the whereabouts of Ms Li Ailing.

Since the crimes of Mr. Fu Jinbing and other staff from Weifang City's "610
Office" Forced Brainwashing Center in persecuting Dafa practitioners was exposed
overseas, they became very afraid. However, these individuals do not regret
their vicious crimes at all. Moreover, Mr. Fu Jinbing, even announced in a
recent staff meeting that they should beat Dafa practitioners behind closed
doors and be careful not to leave any visible evidence on the body. In order to
attain their goal of forcing Dafa practitioners into renouncing their belief,
the staff at the brainwashing center came up with even more brutal and hidden
torture methods. At the present there are at least eight to nine Dafa
practitioners illegally incarcerated in the forced brainwashing center.
29. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Heze City Police Abduct and Extort Money
from Dafa Practitioners Ms. Zhang Fenglan and Ms. Zhang Yu'e
The police noticed Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhang Fenglan and her sister Ms.
Zhang Yu'e when they were mailing out truth-clarification materials. The
Political and Security Section of the Hezi City Public Security Bureau tried to
force them to tell where they had obtained the truth-clarification materials
from, hoping to find a Dafa materials site. Meanwhile, Heze police had already
extorted 40,000 yuan from their family so far and are planning to illegally try
the sisters in violation of their constitutional rights to freedom of belief.
30. [Chongqing City] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Fanqin's Arms and Legs are
Broken From Torture at the Forced Labor Camp. Her Husband Refuses to Accept her
Home.
Ms. Liu Fanqin is a Dafa practitioner from Chongqing City. She was abducted
between May to July of 2003 from a local Falun Dafa experience sharing
conference. Fellow practitioners who received the news that say that the staff
in the forced labor camp had broken Ms. Liu's arms and legs during savage
beatings. She has to rely on others' help.
The forced labor camp agreed to put Ms. Liu on bail for medical treatment; however, her husband, who is deceived by Jiang Zemin's poisonous lies and has always been opposed to Dafa, refused to pick her up even when the forced labor camp notified him to do so. Meanwhile, he lied to his daughter telling her that her mother couldn't come home because the forced labor camp refuse to release her. When local practitioners went to see Mr. Liu's other relatives, they shut the door and refused to talk to them.

31. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Three Dafa Practitioners Face An Illegal
Trial
On August 31, 2002, the local police abducted 68 Dafa practitioners while
they were attending the Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference in Cheng'an
County, Handan City in Hebei Province. Three practitioners are still being
unlawfully held in the detention center and the local authorities planned to try
them illegally on December 5, 2003, to sentence them in violation of their
constitutional rights . Information about the trial or the three practitioners
requires further investigation.
32. [Liaoning Province] Facts of Persecution of Dafa Practitioner, Ms. Qin
Cuilian
Dafa practitioner, Ms. Qin Cuilian, is a teacher at the Fuxin Railway Primary School of Liaoning Province. Because she refused to renounce her belief in Falun Dafa or write a so-called "Guarantee Statement" [A statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners], on the morning of November 19, 2003, the Party Secretary of the Jingzhou Railway Education Center Mr. Chen Guishan, Head of the Security Section Mr. Guo Hanmin, Party Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee Mr. Sun Tiebing, Headmaster of the Fuxin Raiway Primary School Ms. Song Chunyan, Party Secretary Mr. Liu Xinmin and Deputy Headmaster Mr. Zhang Wenqiang kidnapped Ms. Qin Cuilian to Fushun City Forced Brainwashing Center for persecution. Another Dafa practitioner working for the same school was forced to leave home to escape the persecution. The school threatened to fire the practitioner if he/she did not show up at work within 15 days. The school even does not even spare those Dafa practitioners who had already retired from school. They harassed these retired practitioners on a regular basis. When these practitioners refused to write the so-called "Guarantee Statement," they were taken to the brainwashing center where they were persecuted further. Ms. Qin Cuilian has been forced to leave home to avoid further persecution and unlawful arrest.

33. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Xiangcheng City Detention Center Hides Dafa Practitioners Illegally Detained Beyond Original Terms in Another Detention Center
To avoid the inspections from the Henan Provincial Public Security Bureau in
Xiangcheng City, Henan Province, Xiangcheng City Detention Center secretly
transferred those people who are illegally being held beyond their sentenced
terms to Fugou County on November 10, 2003. On the following day, 40 more people
were transferred to the Waiyang Detention Center. Some of them were Dafa
practitioners who have either been illegally sentenced or detained for a long
period of time. These illegal tactics earned the Xiangcheng Detention Center a
reputation as a "First Class", "Civilized" detention center.
34. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Some Residential Communities in Jilin
Province Force Unemployed Workers to Help Persecute Dafa Practitioners
Recently several directors of the residential communities in Jilin City, Jilin Province forced many unemployed or those receiving social welfare benefits to go on patrol in the neighborhoods. Each of them is made responsible for a given section of the community and are ordered to check every building and every entrance to the building to check everyone going in and out. Whenever they discover Falun Dafa banners that clarify the truth of the persecution they tear them down, or destroy them. Whenever they find posters or flyers, they cover them up or remove them. Those workers who refuse to do this work are disqualified from receiving their social welfare benefit. 35. [Xingji City, Hebei Province] Xingji City's "610 Office" Repeatedly Abducts and Tortures Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Yanhui
Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Yanhui is from Xiaochecheng, Xingji City, Hebei Province. She has been repeatedly arrested from home by the local "610 Office's" hired men from Nanzhiqiu Village. In the winter of 2002, Ms. Liu was kidnapped and taken to the Xingji City Forced Brainwashing Center. She successfully resisted the evil persecution and escaped the forced brainwashing center with her wisdom and powerful righteous thoughts.
In October 2003, Xingji City's "610 Office" led hired men from Nanzhiqiu Village to illegally hunt and abduct Dafa practitioners in three villages in one day. They mobilized a large number of people and several cars to hunt and abduct Dafa practitioners in each village. They also set up roadside checkpoints, invaded and searched villagers' houses and set up secret sentries. However, they still failed to trap any Dafa practitioner after exhausting all their tricks. (Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Dafa at the end of 1998. In 1999, I twice went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. The first time was on September 10, and the second time was on October 28. Because of that, the Police Department of Shunqing District, Nanchong City illegally arrested me and sentenced me to one year in a forced labor camp. At the same time, I was fired from my job at the People's Middle Court of Nanchong City. In July 2000, I was sent to the Nanmusi Women's Labor Camp in Zizhong County of Sichuan Province. There, I was put under tremendous psychological pressure. I was threatened, tormented, deceived, overloaded with physical labor and allowed only four hours of sleep per night. Deceived by the hypocritical police and their lies, I betrayed my belief and dignity. Against my own will, I wrote the "Three Statements" and started to walk down a dangerous path. [Three Statements -- Falun Dafa practitioners are coerced, brainwashed and tortured to write these as proof that they have given up their belief in Falun Dafa. Created by the "610 Office," the three statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners. "The 610 Office"-- is an agency created to persecute Falun Dafa; it can overrule every level of both the Party and the Chinese government, including the judiciary.]
Afterwards, I was stringently controlled by members of the police department, including special agents. I committed many crimes against Dafa; I even slandered Teacher. I gave into the demands of the prison police and wrote the so-called "Guarantee Statement," "Repentance Statement," and "Denouncement Statement." I wrote monthly reports, exit reports and letters to fellow practitioners asking them to give up the practice. I helped the police in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. I assisted in brainwashing practitioners who were either new to the labor camp or who were firmly refusing to give up Falun Dafa after a long time in the camp. I helped the police to force fellow practitioners to renounce their belief.
I once went to Pengzhou City and collaborated with the prison police, local "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] and special agents, helping to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners in that area. I assisted in brainwashing and re-educating the practitioners with the goal of having them denounce their belief in Falun Dafa. I helped police special agents from Wuhou District, Chengdu City to persecute illegally imprisoned practitioners. Again, the goal was to force practitioners to turn against Falun Dafa.
After I was released from the labor camp, I went back to Nanchong City and continued my evil deeds. I was interviewed and video taped by the Nanchong City Women Association, which was hosting a signature petition to "advocate science and oppose [defamatory term deleted]! Furthermore, I spoke at the "March 8th Celebration Gala," hosted by the Shunging District Detention Center, the Nanchong City Women's Association and the Nanchong City Procurator's Office. During the gala, I delivered a speech in front of all the police and inmates, including practitioners who were illegally detained there. I slandered Falun Dafa and Teacher during my speech.
Under the direction of Nanchong City "610 Office," I joined a "report team" with Yamian Petroleum Institute's Communist Party Director Zhang and Nanchong City Police Academy's second supervisor. This team visited many places to slander Falun Dafa. I made numerous speeches denouncing Falun Dafa and Teacher in Nanchong City, Nanbu County, Langzhong City, Pengan County and many other places. I even made a defamatory speech before the entire Army 5601 Regiment. I also helped to persecute many practitioners from Nanchong City, Gaoping District, Nanbu County and other locales. At that time, two practitioners from the Southwest Petroleum Institute, Li Yanjun and Wu Kaisong, were illegally held at the Xinhua Labor Camp of Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. I wrote letters to them as part of their brainwashing.
I committed great sins against Falun Dafa; yet our benevolent Teacher did not give up on me. Instead, he dropped me hints and gave me chances to enlighten over and over again. Teacher arranged for fellow practitioners to deliver Dafa materials, including new articles, into my hands. Again and again, fellow practitioners studied the materials and shared experiences with me. They helped me to clear my head. After a long and dark road, I finally regained clarity and returned to the path of Falun Dafa cultivation. I submitted a Solemn Declaration to the Clearwisdom website. Because of my attachments in pursing results and hurriedly wanting to make up for the damage I had caused, I was arrested while handing out truth-clarify flyers. The police confiscated my Dafa books and materials. After that, I was repeatedly arrested and sentenced to prison. Whenever I was released, I would remain homeless, in fear of being arrested again. The old forces are constantly looking for opportunities to destroy me. They had special agents spread rumors among practitioners in Nanchong City and Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp, saying, "Pan Xiaojiang was transformed again; she is now dead." In fact, I was being secretly detained at Pi County Detention Center at that time.
In my heart, I wanted to cultivate well. However, I seemed to be stuck in a dangerous state; I was staggering along and could not pull myself out. Then, our benevolent Teacher again arranged for fellow practitioners to study with me. We studied the lecture, "Touring North America to Teach the Fa" lecture over and over again. We sent forth righteous thoughts together and exchanged our understandings. Finally, I understood why I was stuck in the abnormal state and could not overcome the tribulations: I did not recognize the fundamental evil of the old forces and all the arrangements and persecution that they had planned for me. I did not break through it; instead, I I did not cut myself cleanly away from the old forces and the part of me that was made of karma. Because of these loopholes in myself, I was being persecuted endlessly.
I have decided that from now on, I will let go of all attachments and responsibly study the Fa well. I will immerse myself in the Fa. I will use the Fa as my teacher to guide every word, every action, every thought and every intention that I have. I must do this so I can cultivate myself, step by step, and rid myself of all human attachments. I will sever myself from the old forces once and for all.
Today, I solemnly declare and pledge to Teacher: I am Teacher's disciple. I refuse to acknowledge and accept any arrangement made by anyone other than Teacher. I will do well in what a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple should do. I will walk well in the last leg of my journey.
I declare one more time:
I am a true practitioner of Falun Dafa. Although I committed great sins against Falun Dafa and our Teacher, but our Teacher did not give up on me. I have no reason to give up cultivation. For that, I again solemnly declare that I have returned to the path of Fa-rectification, and I have returned to Teacher. I will be steadfast in my cultivation. All the statements I wrote under the pressure from police, all that I have done to slandering Falun Dafa, to persecuting fellow practitioners, and all the speeches, actions, thoughts, intentions that are not assimilated to Dafa are voided. Those are not from my true self. I will rectify myself from the bottom of my heart. I will immerse myself in the Fa and become a particle in Dafa. Once again, I declare that my heart is in cultivation cannot be moved. I will not sway from the path of helping Teacher to rectify the Fa and save sentient beings. No one will be able to interfere with me. I have loopholes in my cultivation; I will study the Fa and correct them in the process of Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings. I will walk the cultivation path Teacher has arranged for me; I will completely negate the arrangement made by the old force and their evil elements.

Drowning death of a former deputy police chief
Han Menjie, the former Deputy Chief of Weifang City Beigong Police Station, was a 40-year-old male who was heavily involved in the persecution of Dafa practitioners. As a result of his foul deeds, more than ten practitioners were sent to a detention center. This act led to his 2001 promotion to the position of Section Head and finally to that of Deputy Chief last summer. Han died from drowning during a trip with his family.
Disregarding safety and a lack of trained staff leads to a major accident in the First Army Medical University; the deputy political commissar dies from liver cancer
A huge explosion killed two people on Monday morning, December 1, 2003, in the toothpaste factory affiliated with the university, and did structural damage to the building as well. The blast happened at 6:19 a.m. As a result, all the glass in the windows and doors was shattered and the window and doorframes were bent out of shape and off their hinges and.
This university has been heavily involved in the persecution of Falun Gong. In August 1999, the early persecution period, the university authorities took the lead and sent the first Dafa practitioner in the nation to a mental hospital to be persecuted even though the person had no history of mental illness. In 2000, many practitioners who were either employees or students were forced to resign from the army or expelled from their positions as students at the university.
Some of the practitioners who persisted in Falun Gong were illegally arrested. One extreme case deserves to be noted: Cui Hong, the university Deputy Political Commissioner had sent his own daughter, a Dafa practitioner, to a detention center and forced her to give up her belief. He died of liver cancer.
The university also requested the local police to illegally send Ms. Fen, the relative of a college faculty, to long-term detention. Ms. Fen went on a hunger strike for over 80 days, during which time the perpetrators force-fed her over 60 times. She was not released until she was near death.
