Do Well the Three Things Requested of Us by Master, and Righteously Walk our Path of Fa-Rectification

When fellow practitioners do well the three things requested of us by Master, miracles can sometimes occur, which further reminds us of Master's boundless compassion and unfathomable might. In this article I would like to share some recent experiences with overseas practitioners.

1. A fellow practitioner was arrested some time ago. When the police called out his name at the detention center, he did not respond, which led them to believe no one by that name existed. When a policeman finally asked this practitioner if he practiced Falun Gong, he emphatically replied, "Yes!" Immediately, the guards started to beat him and torment him, but the practitioner continually maintained strong righteous thoughts. In the end, he was diagnosed with having "hepatitis" by prison doctors and released home. Thus, under the merciful protection of our great Master, this practitioner was able to return home.

Because the police confiscated all of his Dafa books when they ransacked his home, the practitioner could not study the Fa when he came home. To retrieve his books, he went to his local "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) and sat in front of its gate to protest: "I won't leave until you return my books." Left with no choice, the "610 Office" notified the practitioner's local Residents' Committee Office to arrange a pickup. When a representative from his local Residents' Committee arrived, the practitioner's answer remained the same, "If you don't give me back my books, I will sit in front of the 610 Office." At last, officials from the Residents' Committee found a few Dafa books and secretly gave them to the practitioner.

In March of this year, this practitioner was again abducted when he was handing out truth-clarification literature. When police inquired about the origins of the literature, he replied, "I will never tell you that, but I was just about to give these to you." Then he took out a few truth-clarification flyers and gave one to each police officer. "Here, please take and read these. They have your names on them."

Baffled, the police called the local "610 Office." The practitioner was then transferred to another police station, where a few policemen ganged up to slap his face and kick his legs. He again told them, "It is no use. I still won't tell you a thing." Without a choice, the police station soon released him. After he returned home, he thought, "That can't be right. I must expose the evil." The following morning he took a camera to the police station and said, "I want to take pictures of those of you who beat me yesterday, so the entire world can witness your brutality." The police didn't dare hit him again. They seized his camera, confiscated the film inside, and demanded the practitioner leave. After this incident, many practitioners asked him if he felt any fear at the time. He replied, "Why should anyone be afraid?!"

2. May 13th is World Falun Dafa Day. On that day many practitioners came out to tell people the facts about the persecution, to hang Dafa banners, to distribute truth-clarification literature, and to post flyers. One practitioner was arrested, and because she couldn't tolerate the evil's torment, she revealed the origin of the Dafa flyers, and disclosed the name of the fellow practitioner in charge of handling Dafa literature. When police arrived at the house of this practitioner, they found three large banners hanging from her house. They read, "Falun Dafa is Good," "Falun Dafa is the Righteous Fa," and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the Fa of the Universe." The police detained this practitioner along with her infant child, and asked her if she indeed provided materials for the practitioner who was arrested. She firmly refused to cooperate with the evil. When asked why she hung the banners, she answered, "I feel it is righteous. Since you forbid me to hang them publicly, why can't I hang them on my own house?" The police couldn't find a reasonable excuse, so they promptly released her. It is worthwhile to note that this practitioner's name was once on the unlawful national "most-wanted" list.

There are many other similar cases, and I am touched by the stories of our fellow practitioners. Words fall short of depicting our Master's boundless compassion and might. I am also deeply moved by fellow practitioners' adamantine will of letting go of life and death displayed during their cultivation. "All of you are already aware of the principle of mutual-generation and mutual-inhibition. If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist. This is not to be self-imposed, but is achieved by truly and calmly letting go of it" ("Eliminate Your Last Attachments," Essentials for Further Advancement II). "...That looks like human conduct, but in fact it's not. That was because she reached that point through cultivation and truly arrived at that realm--'Now that you've arrested me, I haven't thought at all about going back. Now that I've come here, I've come to validate the Fa.' So the evil was scared" ("Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference").

The reason these practitioners did so well during these trials is because they have always kept in mind the instructions of our Master -- tell people the facts of the persecution, send forth righteous thoughts, study the Fa well, and cultivate well. During this last phase of Fa-rectification, we must cherish every passing second. We must harbor a calm mind, search for omissions within ourselves, study the Fa well, and in the end completely melt into the Fa. Let us do well the three things requested of us by Master; let us righteously walk our path of Fa-rectification, and let us not let down Master's merciful undertaking of saving sentient beings.

Fellow practitioners, please kindly point out anything inappropriate.
