It's said that under the instigation of its evil head, the "610 Office"* issued a new secret order: Be firm with SARS on one hand, and be firm with Falun Gong on the other hand. Complying with this order, villages set up a separation zone between one another, with the excuse of preventing "SARS," and a group of people keep watch around the clock in this zone and examine passersby. Some practitioners going to the countryside to clarify the truth were arrested. For instance, in a village in Xinbin County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province, two incidents of practitioners being arrested this way have occurred so far, and seven or eight practitioners were sent to detention centers.

According to reliable sources, Wuhan City's "610 Office" is now organizing a so-called large-scale "Performance Party" by brainwashed people in order to celebrate the 4^th anniversary of the establishment of the "610 Office." The party's aim is to sing high praises for Jiang's regime. Some forcibly brainwashed people are required to attend. The party is to be held on June 10th. Radio stations and TV stations will probably report it. We hope that practitioners will send strong righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil that is behind this plan.

[Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Jin Fujun, a Soldier, Has Difficulty Walking Due to Torture at the Artillery Brigade of Jinzhou City's No. 40 Army Base

Practitioner Mr. Jin Fujun, who once served in the army in Xingcheng City and Fuxin City, is now detained at the Artillery Brigade of No. 40 Army Base, located to the east of Jinzhou City's No. 2 Detention Center. Mr. Jin can hardly walk after being tortured by the police.

[Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Xiulan from the Lishan District is Detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Recently, after her arrest, practitioner Ms. Wang Xiulan was detained at the Anshan City Detention Center. When the 15 days' detention term expired, she refused to sign the so-called "Guarantee Statement"** to renounce practicing Dafa and was thus forcibly sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. At present, her nearly 80 year old parents-in-law, her husband who is suffering from the aftermath of a brain stroke, and her child are left home by themselves. Wang Xiulan used to buy medicine for her husband in another city every month. Kind people with a sense of justice, please pay attention to this matter.

On May 25, 2003, practitioner Ms. Liu Chunhua was arrested when she was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials.

Ms. Zhang Deyi is still detained at Qinghuangdao City's No. 2 Detention Center. Her daughter was bailed out by her school, and her husband was forced to live away from home to avoid the persecution. Now her daughter, who is a high school student, is staying at home alone.

[Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Illegal Arrest of Practitioner Ms. Jing Aijiao

At 11:30 a.m. on May 28 2003, police from Guancheng District Precinct broke into practitioner Ms. Jing Aijiao's home and illegally arrested her. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.

[Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Illegal Detention of Practitioner Ms. Sun Jinjun

In 2000, practitioner Ms. Sun Jinjun was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor because she was clarifying the facts about Dafa to the public. She is being held at the Anshan City Forced Labor Camp. Because she firmly rejected the vicious brainwashing and was determined to safeguard Dafa, she was sent to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. She has been very steadfast in her belief. In December of 2002 she finished her two year prison term but the Masanjia Labor Camp still has not released her.

On the morning of May 13, 2003, lawless officials from the "610 Office" illegally arrested Ms. Guo Guilian and Ms. Wen Yumei, who are now being held at Jinzhou City's No. 1 Detention Center.

[Henan Province] The Local "610 Office" Plots Another Round of Persecution Against Dafa Practitioners

Recently, Zhoukou Area's "610 Office" urged all city and county "610 Offices" and some other units to prepare another round of persecution against Dafa practitioners. They are especially targeting those Dafa practitioners who are doing truth clarifying work and who, because of the persecution, are homeless.

[Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Yang Jiangwei Continues his Hunger Strike after his Transfer Back to Huludao City Forced Labor Camp from Surgery; Status of Other Practitioners

Mr. Yang Jiangwei has been brutally tortured to critical condition by perpetrators at the Huludao City Forced Labor Camp, and was sent to a hospital for surgery, but soon after the operation he was sent back to the camp. Yang Jiangwei continued his hunger strike to protest the persecution. Now the forced labor camp authorities do not allow anyone to visit him. Yang Jiangwei's health status is kept secret from outsiders.

At the end of April, Dafa practitioner Mr. Liang Guoman from Huludao City walked out of Huludao City Forced Labor Camp with righteous thoughts.

In early May, lawless police officers from Quiguozi Township arrested Dafa practitioners Mr. Liu Deyun, Mr. Tan Deyu and Mr. Ren Jiuqi from Tanzhangzi Village, Qiuzigou Township, of Suizhong County, Huludao City. These officers also illegally searched the practitioners' homes. The details are under investigation.

On May 29th, police officers from Wanghu Township unlawfully arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Wan from Wanghu Township, Suizhong County, Huludao City. Her house was searched without a warrant. She is now being held at the Suizhong County Detention Center.

*The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

** The so-called "Guarantee Statement" is a statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners.
