(Clearwisdom.net) In conjunction with Dafa practitioners in other areas in Canada, practitioners in Calgary and Edmonton jointly held a 24-hour hunger strike appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate in Calgary on June 1, 2003, condemning China's illegal arrest of American citizen Dr. Charles Li. The hunger strike appeal began on the afternoon of May 31, and continued until June 1. The practitioners protested China's illegal acts and demanded the Chinese government to immediately and unconditionally release Dr. Charles Li.
