(Clearwisdom.net) Since March of 2000, there has been a place in Hengshui where innocent Falun Gong practitioners are detained. They have been deceived, threatened and taken here against their wills. Layers and layers of security equipment have been installed and monitors are everywhere. Activities such as eating, sleeping or using the toilet are monitored. Practitioners are deprived of their basic human rights. Their families are not allowed to visit them. Half a month is counted as one term. Detainees have to pay 3,500 yuan per term (average 230 yuan per day). If they refuse to give up their belief, practitioners are detained for an extended time and more money is extorted from them. Innocent people are brutally tortured here. Sometimes practitioners would be sent to even more vicious places such as the provincial brainwashing center or forced labor camps.
This place is known as the "Hengshui City Law Education School" and is actually the brainwashing center in Hengshui city and Taocheng district. It's located in the former Hengshui middle-level court-building complex on the southern-most end of Baoshe Street
This is where the Hengshui "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems), legislative system and various work units torture Falun Gong practitioners. The following is an account of crimes they committed since 2001:
In March of 2001, Hengshui City "610 Office" and Taocheng District "610 Office" started holding brainwash sessions. Several dozen people were forced to attend the first session and leave their families behind. In order to avoid this torture, many more had to leave their work and home to avoid arrest and further persecution.
In April of 2001, the following people were abducted from their work place and taken for brainwashing: Rong Dacui (in her seventies, a farmer from Zhaoquan Town), Zhang Jiuhui (a farmer from Masen Village), Tian Guixiang (a teacher from Zhaoquan Town), Li Jing (official from Taocheng District Entertainment and Sports Bureau) and Yin Chunmei (a worker in the City's chemical industry). Li and Yin were sent to a detention center later because they refused to renounce their belief. They were detained for months and only released when their lives were in danger due to the torture.
In September of 2001, they once again started abducting practitioners. They broke into practitioners' homes and took them away. Guo Suling's husband was very ill and hospitalized. The vicious thugs still took her away. They also broke through a security door and took Song Yunbo, a teacher from Hengzhong, from his home. During the National Day period (Around October 1st), Sun Liangsheng, a teacher in the city's second middle school, and Kang Yanxiang from the city's scientific committee, were both taken to the brainwashing class after being deceived by their work place.
In early June of 2002, Yuan Qingai, a teacher in the city's forth middle school completed her term in the labor camp. Without allowing her to see her family, the city's "610 Office" directly took her to the brainwashing class where she was beaten.
Liu Dongmei, a teacher in Wuyi County, was twice sent to the brainwashing center in 2002. Refusing to denounce Falun Gong, she was sent to the Shijiazhuang brainwashing center and later transferred to a mental hospital where she was injected against her will and forced to take large doses of nerve-damaging drugs. She suffered physical and neurological damage as a result, making her disoriented and slow witted. Her husband later divorced her.
On November 14, 2003, Li Jingyun who works in the school administration office in Hengshui Normal College, was deceived and taken to the brainwashing class after being falsely charged with taking material from the city's education committee. Left behind were her elderly in-laws and one-year-old son. Her husband has to stay at home to take care of them.
At present, practitioners are still being persecuted in the brainwashing center. They abduct practitioners from various counties and districts, use collaborators (former practitioners who have turned against Dafa under pressure) to torture them and do not allow them to sleep. The head of the brainwashing class, Wang Changxin, claimed: "Deprive them of sleep for three days straight. They will be transformed by then!"
One practitioner from Jing County has completed his (or her) term in labor camp. He (or she) was sent to the brainwashing class directly to be further persecuted. For those very determined practitioners, vicious thugs use every possible means to torture them and even send them to the provincial brainwashing centers or forced labor camps.
The above cases represent only a small fraction of the abuses being committed here. For the sake of brevity, I have only listed a few examples.
Since March of 2001, Hengshui City has been holding brainwashing sessions every year. Countless practitioners have been abducted and detained here. Many others are forced to leave their family and wander around to avoid persecution.

Tian Jieshi: former secretary of political and law committee in Hengshui City. He is a main figure who persecutes practitioners.

Lu Songyin: the director of Hengshui City "610 Office." He is also in charge of persecuting practitioners.
Wang Wenhua: secretary of political and law committee inTaocheng District and director of the "610 Office" in that district. He is also responsible for the persecution of practitioners.
Zheng Genqi: the head of the Hengshui City brainwash center and staff member of the city's "610 Office."
Wang Changxin: the assistant of the Hengshui City brainwash center. He is from the first division of the city's public security bureau. He is involved in arresting, beating practitioners and ransacking their homes.
Li Haitao: from the first division of the city's public security bureau. He is involved in arresting, beating practitioners and ransacking their homes.
Zhai Qiming: from the first division of the Taocheng district public security bureau. He is involved in arresting, beating practitioners and ransacking their homes.
Sun Jiancai: the deputy director of the Taocheng district public security bureau. He is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
