Commentary on Current Issues from a Non-practitioner

In early June, I sent a copy of an open letter from Amnesty International to the Sixteenth CCP Congress to my daughter in Hong Kong. However, she never received the letter, nor was it returned. This indicates that under the supervision of Mainland China's National Security Ministry, the Hong Kong Postal Service has increased their censorship of the mail to even include private mail. Right now, in order to prevent Hong Kong from turning into a so-called "base to subvert the Central Government," telephone tapping and mail censorship is escalating dramatically and will soon catch up with Mainland China. Although once referred to as "a shining pearl of the East," Hong Kong today is going downhill rapidly. The question is: how long can it pretend to be a pearl in front of the people?

News and Activities from Around the World

Recent archeological discoveries have once again proven the existence of prehistoric civilizations tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of years ago. The following are some examples:

1) Fossils of ancient human beings were found in Korea, including samples of the skull, pelvis bone, thighbone, ischium, etc. They were from a woman, a child, and an infant.

2) Evidence of human activity from twenty thousand years ago was found in Tibet.

3) A thirty thousand year old human thumb and finger were discovered in Poland. They seem to have been removed from the hand intentionally, possibly indicating a certain amount of surgical knowledge.

4) A human skeleton and pieces of pottery dating back over thirty thousand years ago were unearthed in Egypt.

5) At the end of last year, archeologists from both Mainland China and Taiwan found man-made marks on nine antler fossils from the late Pleistocene period. This proves that ancient human beings co-existed with mammals thirty years ago in the Taiwan Strait area. This area is thought to have been above sea level at that time.
