The Strength of One Body
In October 1999, a detention center in the north of China was filled with imprisoned Dafa
disciples. They all enlightened to the fact that they could not passively endure this imprisonment,
and that a hunger strike had to be done collectively to attain their freedom. The policeman
attempted to chain Xiao Mei, who he thought was the "organizer," to a metal pole. The
other five Dafa disciples in detention immediately realized that they were one body and thus should
forbid the evil to persecute any one of them. So everyone sternly condemned the policeman and asked
him to stop the evil's persecution. Against the thug's stubbornness, the six Dafa disciples together
held out their hands to the metal pole. Suddenly facing six pairs of unselfish and fearless hands,
the policeman with the handcuffs did not know which one to shackle first. After hesitating for a
while, he hastily left. Not long after, a

detention cell where Xiao Mei and the others were being held. It protruded from the wall and was
very eye-catching. All of the staff in the detention center marveled at this site. This is a
testimony to Dafa disciples' strength as one body when assisting Teacher in the Fa-rectification.
The Cultivation of Divine Powers Moves People's Hearts
In a detention center, a Dafa disciple benevolently changed the attitude of the guards and the inmates in his cell with his righteous thoughts and actions. He established an open environment to study the Fa and do the exercises. Sometimes while practicing the sitting meditation the Dafa disciple would levitate one meter high into the air. His inmates were astonished, and they respected Dafa and Dafa disciples even more after that. One by one they also joined the assembly of prisoners practicing Dafa.
