(Clearwisdom.net) At 11:30 a.m. on November 1st 2002, Australian citizen Ms. Dai Zhizhen and local Falun Dafa practitioners held a press conference in front of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles and spoke about the true story of her husband being murdered in China for practicing Falun Gong.

Dai Zhizhen's husband Mr. Chen Chengyong was a resident of Zhuhai District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. He worked as an electrician in a paper mill. Because he expressed his support for Falun Gong, he lost his job. In November 2000, in order to avoid being sent to brainwashing class, he had to leave his home. In January 2000, he was detained in Guangzhou City for 15 days. In July 2000, he was detained for 3 weeks. On December 31, 2000, he was arrested for appealing for Falun Gong in Beijing, where he was detained for one day. However, his wife Dai Zhizhen lost contact with him on January 10, 2001. After 6 months, his body was found outside Guangzhou City. When his elder sister recognized the body, she found that the body was already decomposed. It was obvious that the police waited a long time before notifying the family. Because she publicized the death of her brother, Chen Chengyong's sister was sentenced to two years of forced labor without trial. Dai Zhizhen finally learned of her husband's death through a Falun Dafa website. But when she applied to go to China to pick up her husband's ashes, the Chinese Embassy refused to give her a visa. Eight months later, after the Australian government got involved to help her, she finally obtained her husband's ashes.

Chen Chengyong's father couldn't bear the impact of his son's death and his daughter being sent to forced labor camp, and he had to be sent to the emergency room. A short while later, he passed away in the hospital. Even so, Ms. Dai was not granted permission to attend her father's funeral. When her 9-year-old daughter was seriously ill, she was not allowed to visit her.

Ms. Dai Zhizhen wanted to use her own experiences to let more people become aware of the brutal persecution in China against Falun Gong practitioners and hopes that more people will help to uphold justice for her murdered husband and other persecuted Falun Gong practitioners.

Recently, Ms. Dai Zhizhen joined five other Falun Gong practitioners to file a lawsuit against head of the Chinese Communist Party and architect of the persecution Jiang, his accomplice Zeng Qinghong (Minister of Personnel of the Chinese Communist Party) and Luo Gan (the head of China Communist Party Central Political and Judiciary Department, head of the 610 office).
