Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province

Wang Guanying, Director of Huale Street Police Station, Dongshan District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province brutally persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. He fell ill in June 2002 and died two weeks later.

Xinmi City, Henan Province

Du Shouren, a policeman from Xinmi City, received retribution for beating up Falun Dafa practitioners.

Yang Hongjun of the local "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the party and all other political and judiciary systems] was fired from his job for bribery and fabricating documents.

Li Erlin, Associate Chief of the local Public Security Bureau responsible for organizing brainwashing sessions was dismissed from his post for bribery.

Qianxi County, Guizhou Province

Li Laowu, a female employee of Qianxi County Public Security Bureau, Guizhou Province, brutally persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners for a long time, extorting money and valuables. When one practitioner came back from his visit to Taiwan, she made him pay several thousand Yuan [Chinese currency. An average urban laborer's monthly wage is about 500 Yuan]. She also ganged up with other policemen to trail practitioners. On February 25, 2001, she ransacked the home of a Falun Dafa practitioner and extorted 1000 Yuan for "guarantee money."

On August 12, 2002, Li Laowu and her husband were on their way to Guiyang City to pick up their child when their car collided with a truck. Li and her husband died in the accident.
