[Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] The Court Illegally Sentences Falun Dafa Practitioners to Jail
On August 15, 2002, the court in Liaoyang City secretly and illegally tried and sentenced the following Falun Dafa practitioners:
Li Hongjun, a 40-year-old man, sentenced to jail for ten years;
Li Jing, a 40-year-old woman, sentenced to jail for nine years;
Luo Li, a 41-year-old woman, sentenced to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for three
years.
The court also sentenced a 50-year-old female practitioner, whose name is unknown, to seven years in jail.
[Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province] The Court Illegally Tries Falun Dafa Practitioners
Falun Dafa practitioner Xiu Xiaoxue was reported to the authorities while distributing truth-clarifying materials. In July 2002, the Bangshibao Police Substation detained her at the criminal detention center in Gaizhou City, where she suffered both physically and mentally. Xiu Xiaoxue is so righteous, noble and determined that the evil authorities were shocked by her dignified manner.
However, the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] and the Police Department in Gaizhou City persecuted Xiu Xiaoxue more severely. On September 4, 2002, the municipal court secretly tried her without any formal legal procedures. Even her family members were not allowed to attend the trial. Tight security was in force in the court.

[Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Shuqin Is in Confinement at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
On April 22, 2002, police from the Gaojiacun Police Substation abducted Wang Shuqin, a practitioner from the Dalian University of Technology, from her work unit and detained her in the Yaojia Detention Center. At the time, her 9-year-old daughter was left alone at home. Wang Shuqin's relatives later picked up her daughter.
Around May 22, 2002, the Yaojia Detention Center drove Wang and several other Falun Dafa practitioners in a vehicle without windows to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Since then, she has been confined in a small cell, a unit directly under the No.2 Team in the Second Female Brigade. During the detention, she remains very firm in the cultivation of Falun Dafa and continues to clarify the truth to the Team Director and prisoners in the forced labor camp.
[Hebei Province] A Successful Fa-Conference Is Held in Hebei Province
On September 6, 2002, practitioners in a county of Hebei Province successfully held a Fa-conference with the attendance of over twenty people. Currently, practitioners in the county are clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa through various means and with an obviously positive effect. Many everyday people came to know the truth, and freed themselves from the evil regime's lies. Once people begin to learn Falun Dafa, many of them join in the current of Fa-rectification. The evil forces have come to a dead end. No matter what contemptible means they have employed, they cannot stop people's pursuit of the truth.
[Dehui City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Sun Yue Is Captured
Police from the Qitamu Police Substation in Jiutai City captured Falun Dafa practitioner Sun Yue on September 9, 2002. His wife's sister, who lives in Qitamu, and her 11-year-old son had been previously abducted. The police threatened the child through shameless means in an attempt to make the child tell them that his uncle, Sun Yue, had visited his home. The police also forced the child's father, a non-practitioner, to lead them to Sun Yue's home to abduct him.
[Yitong County, Jilin Province] Officers From the Kaoshan Grain Depot Deceive Falun Dafa Practitioner Chen Yuxia Into Enrolling in a Brainwashing Class
The director of the Kaoshan Grain Depot sent Falun Dafa practitioner Chen Yuxia to the brainwashing class by deceiving her into filling out report forms. Chen Yuxia and another practitioner escaped from the brainwashing class by using their righteous thoughts. Presently, they have had to leave their homes and become homeless in order to avoid further persecution.
[Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] The Police Escort Elderly Female Falun Dafa Practitioners With Machine Guns
In May 2002, the Hegang City Police captured Falun Dafa practitioners in a frenzy. As long as they could find a Falun Gong book or a tape in a practitioner's home, they would illegally detain them in a forced labor camp. The practitioners they abducted are mostly females over 50 years old, the oldest being 74 years old. In order to face those unarmed, elderly, female practitioners, however, the police felt it necessary to escort them with machine guns to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Institute for detention.
[Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] The No.8 Oil Drilling Plant Illegally Captures Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Yuzhi
In September 2002, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Yuzhi was reported to the authorities while she was clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa to an old man. The old man was awarded with a dishonestly obtained bounty of 200 Yuan for reporting Zhang Yuzhi [average monthly pay of urban workers in China is 500 Yuan], whose home was subsequently searched. Currently, Zhang Yuzhi is being illegally detained.

[Beian City, Heilongjiang Province] Beian Television Broadcasts Notice of Rewarding Informants
Recently, the Beian Television Station broadcasted a news bulletin that whoever reports a Falun Dafa practitioner clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa will be rewarded with 2000 Yuan. Concurrently, the police escalated their harassment of Falun Dafa practitioners.
[Beijing] The Criminal Record of Collaborators in the Chaoyang District
The Xiangheyuan "610 Office," in the Chaoyang District, makes use of collaborators [Former Falun Gong practitioners who have enlightened along an evil path due to brainwashing and torture, and who now persecute Falun Dafa practitioners] to viciously persecute the steadfast practitioners. Su Jinhua and Jin Jianying are collaborators who voluntarily applied to the "610 Office" for two rooms, in order to further brainwash practitioners who had not yet been completely brainwashed. They also went to some practitioners' homes to deceive them and search for Falun Dafa books. They are sparing no efforts in cooperating with the "610 Office" in damaging Falun Dafa.

I am a 45-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from the countryside, who obtained the Fa in December 1997. I had been suffering from lung cancer prior to learning Falun Dafa.
