(Clearwisdom.Net) Several Falun Dafa practitioners have died in Harbin Wanjian Labor Camp due to a new way of torturing practitioners with inadequate nutrition, overwork, mental torture, and restriction of activities and family visits. The following report was provided by the families of Falun Dafa practitioners who are detained.

  1. Restricted Activities and Family Visits

At Wanjia, each Falun Dafa practitioner is closely monitored 24 hours a day by two criminal prisoners. They have no freedom or privacy whatsoever. Although Wanjia Labor Camp allows criminal prisoners' families to visit every Tuesday and they can accept some of the items brought by the families, Falun Dafa practitioners are only allowed one family visit per month, consisting of a 3-4 minute phone conversation through a glass barrier before practitioners are forcibly taken away. All gifts brought to the practitioners are thoroughly checked and the detained practitioners barely get any items brought by their families. Practitioners who are considered important to persecute do not even have these rights. Criminal prisoners can earn a reduced term for aiding the guards in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners.

  2. Hunger

Falun Dafa practitioners' diet consists of a small portion of steamed bread and whatever is left of the salty cabbage soup after all the criminal prisoners have finished and taken all the vegetables. With so little food, they remain in a constant state of hunger. Food sent by their families is unlikely to ever reach them.

  3. Overwork

Falun Dafa practitioners are forced to work like slaves despite their severe hunger. Each day they work more than 18 hours under inhumane conditions. In a garment factory, practitioners will start work at 6 a.m. and work past midnight. They are not allowed to move as they sit and work at a high speed for many hours. Although their arms and legs may be stiff and aching, their bodies numb, or their hands festering from abrasion, they are not granted rest or medical treatment.

  4. Mental Torture

Due to exposure of the shocking "Wanjia murder case," Wanjia's corrupt police have adopted more concealed and malicious means for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. They present a "legal" facade to cover their criminal persecution. Collaborating with criminal prisoners, they can minimize the amount of food practitioners receive, so that they can always Keep them hungry even though technically they let practitioners eat. This, along with the long hours of forced labor, serves to torture practitioners both physically and mentally.

Kind people, please help stop the persecution of the innocent Falun Dafa practitioners at Wanjia Labor Camp. We hope the righteous thoughts and righteous behavior of Falun Dafa practitioners under such cruel persecution will awaken your conscience.
