Greetings!
As I am writing to the President of America, the land of freedom, I think of the nightmare that I experienced on this day one year ago, in which I personally witnessed how Jiang's directive to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China ("ruin their reputation, deprive them financially, and destroy them physically") was carried out by the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. I am also witness to the fact that China's laws were only used by the ruler as a tool to repress dissidents, and how China's law officials executed and violated the law at the same time.
At this time last year, as a Falun Dafa practitioner, I passed out flyers telling the facts about China's persecution of Falun Dafa to call on people to stand up to help stop this repression. As a result, I was illegally sentenced to one year in a labor camp. There was no lawful basis for this, and the judicial procedure was decided by Jiang's "610 Office." I was put into the Women's Labor Camp of Sanshui City, Guangdong Province. There, the guards, in order to force Falun Gong practitioners to let go of their beliefs in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," used a variety of means to torture practitioners both physically and mentally. They put practitioners under surveillance twenty-four hours a day, not giving them any food, nor allowing them to go to bed, or use the bathroom. They would often search practitioners' bodies, force practitioners to read written materials, watch TV news and videos, and look at pictures slandering Falun Dafa and the founder of Falun Dafa. After all that, practitioners were forced to have discussions, write experiences, write journals, and would also be examined. If practitioners did not cooperate with them, they would be beaten, forced to stand out under the sun, forced to squat, and forced to be in freezing conditions, etc. Practitioners would also be forced to go through long military training and hard labor. The craft products that they are forced to make are all exported, many of which go to America.
I was locked in the Futian District Detention Center for two and a half months. I was detained together with criminals. I was completely without privacy, having to use the toilet in public. The detention center was dark and wet, with bugs everywhere biting and stinging. Police instigated the criminals to monitor, abuse, and beat up Falun Dafa practitioners. We were forced to read propaganda materials slandering Falun Gong, and Falun Gong's founder. The detention center required all detainees to do fifteen hours of labor every day. If practitioners could not finish their duties, they were punished, or forced to pay money. China's Department of Labor Education utilizes laborers in prison camps to make large amounts of money.
After I was released from the labor camp, the higher authorities did not stop persecuting me. They discontinued my salary from my job and finally they declared that I was dismissed from my office.
During the period when I was illegally imprisoned, police also illegally interrogated my son, who did not practice Falun Gong, and his friends. They also ransacked his home. The local policemen also harassed and terrified all my relatives and friends.
I am a veteran teacher who was greatly respected by people. After practicing Falun Gong, I have tried even harder to be kind and value virtue, be strict with myself and lenient towards others. After practicing Falun Gong, my body became incredibly healthy. I deeply felt that I gained a lot from cultivating "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." However, this great practice is suffering from Jiang's regime's cruel repression.
Honorable President, it is reported that Jiang will be coming to America. Hopefully you will be able to ask him in person to stop trampling on human rights, and put down this dictatorial atrocity.
