[Minghui Net] On June 6, I was sent to Tiananmen Police Station, a
substation of Beijing Public Security Bureau, for unfurling banners that reveal
the truth of Falun Gong in Tiananmen Square. I was brutally beaten by the
police. Two other practitioners were also beaten just before me; their bodies
were covered with cuts and bruises. The one in his 50s could barely walk
afterwards. There was a short and fat policeman who was particularly vicious. He
kicked the chest of a young practitioner in his twenties with his boots. The
practitioner could not straighten his back. The policeman then madly kicked the
young man's back. He went on to beat three of us with a police baton on the head
and the legs until he was thoroughly exhausted. On the next day, June 7, eight
of us practitioners, arrested one after another, were sent in a police vehicle
to Beijing Dongcheng Detention Center that is located in Changping City in the
suburbs of Beijing.
The detention center was heavily
guarded. Inside there were numerous incidents of tortures against gentle people.
The policewoman in charge of the ward I was detained in was called Chen Mei. She
was in her late twenties or early thirties. She claimed that she was very
sympathetic to Falun Gong practitioners and capable of distinguishing right from
wrong. However, several days after I started on a hunger strike, she put
handcuffs and shackles on me and called me to her office for a chat. There were
two policemen who pretended to be nice and tried to persuade me to disclose my
name and address. I indicated plainly that I would not tell them lest too many
innocent people be implicated. All my relatives would lose their jobs. They then
unveiled their ferocious selves. They pierced my skin with needles connected to
an electric source. They would stick the needles in and them pull them out; with
each prick I was overcome with pain. This cruel torture could not shake my
righteous thoughts though. They then handcuffed my arms behind my back. They
punched me and kicked me with their boots (I was menstruating at the time). One
of them stepped on me, while the other pricked me with electric needles on the
most sensitive parts of my body - the back of my neck, the ankles of my feet and
the back of my knees. It was excruciatingly painful. There were over one hundred
marks all over my body from the pricks that day (see attached pictures). I later
found out that this torture by the two policemen was ordered by none other than
Chen Mei, the one with a kind face but a venomous heart.
During my hunger strike, I developed
a number of precarious symptoms. The police were totally unconcerned. One
policeman said: "If you die, you are but a corpse without an
identity." On the fourteenth day of the hunger strike I was released
unconditionally. But during that time I was injured internally by the police. I
had difficulty getting up even on the twentieth day. I needed help to get up.
When I was in the detention center I was forced to receive intravenous infusions
while handcuffed and shackled. No one was there to monitor the infusions. One
time the fluid had run out. Within seconds, air embolism could have occurred.
The doctor at the detention center had a big scare.
Currently there are many practitioners illegally detained at Dongcheng Detention Center. I hope all the righteous people in China and around the world will provide them assistance. I also hope that they can break through these evil dens using their righteous thoughts.
