Northern China Dafa Practitioners Righteous Spirit Restrains Ruffians
On May 10, 2001, a county in northern Chinahad a criminal trial convention; it was a public trial for the criminals who had threatened society. The public had difficulty understanding the reason that a Falun Dafa practitioner was on trial. He was accused of distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying literature and posting Dafa Banners. The practitioner faced the evil. He told the crowd compassionately: "I did not commit any crime. What I did was the most righteous thing. Please restore the reputation of my Teacher and Dafa and unconditionally release all detained Dafa practitioners." There was complete silence at that moment; the sentencing was stopped for a few minutes. It was known later that the original verdict for 2 years labor camp was cancelled. The practitioner was released a few days later.
Abduction of Former Terminal Assistant Stationmaster
On the night of June 15, the public security of Guangzhou illegally ransacked the company and dormitory of a former Guangzhou Terminal assistant stationmaster, Zhao Jinan. He worked for a glass company, and because he once hired a persecuted Dafa practitioner, they took Zhao Jinan away without any evidence. Zhou Jinan is now held under criminal custody. Some practitioners who also worked for the glass company were arrested at the same time.
Rongjun Hospital (Army Mental Hospital) Runs Illegal Brainwashing Class
At the beginning of May, a meeting took place at the Rongjun Army Mental Hospital involving the southern urban district in Baoding, divisions from the Government, Public Security, Office of the District Attorney and Court, to run an illegal brainwashing class at Hebei Rongjun Hospital (Army mental hospital.) They forced Dafa practitioners who firmly believed in Dafa to attend the brainwashing class. They sent those practitioners who had refused to join the brainwashing class to a mental hospital and treated them as mentally ill patients.

Higher Education Board Holds Illegal Brainwashing Classes
After the Guangdong Higher Education Board was exposed for forcing staff members to attend a brainwashing class, the lawless officials and evil policemen became very angry. They secretly took all the practitioners from the three brainwashing classes to Huangpu Narcotic House and brutally tortured the practitioners' bodies and minds. These rifraff and evil police joined forces; they used one person or a group to interrogate practitioners. They forbade those practitioners who firmly believed in Dafa to sleep and assaulted them.
A lecturer from Jinan University, Pan Xiaoping (female), and some practitioners showed their strong faith in Dafa when facing the despotic power. The practitioners have courageously defended the dignity of Dafa. The third batch of detained practitioners has brought in the Master's newest articles and the latest news of Dafa. Because of this, some practitioners who had become vulnerable regained their strength to suppress the evil and used their righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil.

One day, when I was traveling on the bus, I found a briefcase with some documents. I discovered the telephone book inside the briefcase and I contacted the owner of the briefcase and arranged to meet him. When we met, he was very happy and said: "Thank you very much, I am the assistant district attorney of a city, this is our predestined relationship!" While he was saying this, he pulled money from his pocket. I stopped him and said: "This is not necessary, if I wanted your money I would not have given you back your briefcase. Actually, you have to thank my teacher, Mr. Li Hongzhi. It is my teacher who has taught me to do this." He then said surprisingly: "Do you practice Falun Dafa?"

Tsing-Hua University Graduate Student Was Kidnapped and Sent to a Brainwashing Class
Around 4 o'clock on June 14, Tsing Hua University Graduate Student Department Minister, Zhang Yi, lured graduate student of fine arts Xu Guangyu to his place by lying to him that he would like to discuss a job opportunity. During their conversation, Xu Guangyu was detained by the Public Security of the university and was forced to attend a brainwashing class. He lost his freedom. Xu Guangyu has begun a hunger strike.
Illegitimate Official Planning to Hold Second Brainwashing Class
On June 15, Ding Zhaoxing, a Hefei Dafa practitioner, also a staff member of Huang Mui Opera House, was arrested because of distributing truth-clarifying literature. He was illegally detained in the Second Hefei Detention Center.
Hefei practitioner Ding Ziqing firmly believes in Dafa. He went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was sentenced to one year of Labor Camp. He was allowed to return home at the end of year 2000. Currently though he has been forced to enter a brainwashing class because he refused to write a "guarantee letter."
It is reported that Hefei's lawless officials plan to form a second brainwashing class. Dafa practitioners should take Dafa as our guide, and use the wisdom and supernormal power granted by Dafa to suffocate and eradicate their hidden evil force.
Illegally Detained Dafa Practitioners
Jiang Mingai is from Suizhou Lishan. On April 19, she and her 60 year-old mother went to Tiananmen to defend Dafa (both mother and daughter attained Dafa in the summer of 1999). After being repatriated, they were detained at the Suizhou Second Detention Center. After Jiang Mingai's mother went on a hunger strike for 7 days, the evil force released her. Jiang also returned home safely, after her 14-day hunger strike. In the afternoon of June 6, while Jiang was washing clothes in her relative's house, ruffians from the Lisan Police Station work place took her away by force during their sudden visit. She was detained in the Second Detention Center and suffered from illegal brainwashing. She has gone on a hunger strike and was forced to eat a few times.
Dafa practitioner Wei Xiaoping was illegally detained at Suizhou Detention Center. He has already been on a hunger strike for 26 days.
Dafa practitioner Kang Gang was released after a year of labor camp. Once again he has been illegally detained over 4 months for distributing truth-clarifying literature.
Ruffian from Laiwu, Shandong Steel Factory Persecutes Dafa Practitioners
It has been verified that under the order by the main factory director, Jiang Kaiwen, that the factory has started another new movement to persecute Dafa practitioners. Based on their experience from the first and the second illegal brainwashing classes held respectively in July 2000 and February 2001, they started the third wicked brainwashing class on June 3 at the hotel of Laiwu steel factory's guest house.
The Dafa practitioners who are illegally detained are: An Jin, Wang Mei, Liu Guanwei, Wang Liangai, and Liang Sheng.
Zhang Wenhua was detained for distributing truth-clarifying literature. He is still missing.
Yinshan Public Security Bureau took Wang Weifen, Jiao Fangyu and GaoYunfeng, these three family members, into custody.

The Taoyuan Village Police of Shijiazhuag City Illegally Detain Dafa Practitioners
On the night of June 3, four to five policemen from the Taoyuan Village Police Station of Taoyuan District in the Qiaodong area of Shijiazhuang City, knocked at the practitioners' doors hastily, and used excuses such as the need for meetings, conversations, or something happened, in order to take disciples to the police station from their homes and fields with force.
Illegally Detainment of Former Middle School Teacher for Distributing Dafa Literature
It was reported that on the morning of June 16, a Dafa disciple and former teacher of Chengdu 51 Middle School was illegally detained for distributing Dafa material in the Shuangqiaozi area in Chengdu City. Later, the thugs ransacked Zhang Chunmei's house. They kept Zhang Chunmei in the Shuangqiaozi police station and tortured her with electric batons and other instruments.
Dafa Practitioner Ni Hong Escaped from Evil Brainwashing
On May 16, 2001, the police illegally took Beijing Dafa practitioner Ni Hong from her house to the brainwashing classes. With a righteous mind, she jumped down from the second floor of the class and left safely.
