[Minghui Net] In his most recent article Teacher said, "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful;" "As a Dafa disciple, why fear the evil ones when enduring persecution? The crux of the matter is that you have attachments. If not, do not endure passively, and face the evil people with righteous thoughts at all times. No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates. If everyone does this the environment won't be this way." As we can all see from the Minghui Net articles or from Dafa practitioners, in the Fa-rectification process many Dafa practitioners can understand the Fa and truly act according to what Teacher has asked suffocate the evil influences with righteous thoughts, under any circumstance. But, I have realized that in the current Fa-rectification process it's not enough that only some Dafa practitioners conduct themselves this way. We must ALL do as Teacher said, "If everyone does this, the environment won't be this way." Regarding this matter, Teacher has said in his lecture at the Western US Fa Conference in February 1999, "The mighty virtue established by this Dafa is itself also extremely important. If any one of you is doing well, it's a matter of your individual cultivation; if people in one region are doing well, it means that students in that region are doing well; if we're doing very well the whole world over or in every region where there are Dafa disciples, it's no longer a matter of one region or one individual person, but of the entire Dafa doing well and it's being on an upright course." Therefore I realized that, at present, the evil force puts up a last-ditch struggle in persecuting Dafa. It is important that we improve our cultivation and understanding as a whole in the process of Fa-rectification. The entire Dafa cultivation and rectification not only require some practitioners reaching the standard, but every practitioner reaching the standard as well. Teacher has been compassionately waiting and waiting, bearing more and more for us. Teacher does not want to see a single genuine practitioner left behind. He does not want to see those practitioners who have waited for thousands years at different levels of the universe for the opportunity to discover the Fa and Teacher, fail in their cultivation. Then, how can we improve and sublimate as a whole in the process of Fa-rectification? My understanding is that: first, we should incorporate our individual cultivation into the mighty current of Fa-rectification. Second: we should not accept the so-called "exams" arranged by the old cosmic forces or hang on to any selfish thoughts. No matter whether going to Tiananmen Square to peacefully appeal or telling the truth in other environments, we must think of Dafa first. This way, we can as a whole improve and achieve understanding together. I remember that in our area, from June through July of last year, 200 practitioners had gone to Tiananmen Square at different times to unfurl Falun Dafa banners. Before these trips, we got together many times and shared our understanding of the Fa and why we needed to go to Tiananmen to unfurl Falun Dafa banners. It helped us improve our xinxing [mind and heart nature] and understanding of the Fa. But during the entire action, we discovered that some practitioners still encountered barriers and could not put down ordinary people's thoughts. I used a common analogy and talked to those practitioners: An ordinary person could anxiously take a few days off from work to help their family members if they encountered some troubles. Then, when Dafa, which saves us and gives us everything, is attacked, and our fellow practitioners are detained and beaten, we must take action. If we cannot step forward and speak about the truth, how can we be called Falun Dafa practitioners? Is it the attachment of fear and selfishness that prevents us from stepping forward? After sharing these thoughts we all understood more about the Fa and our actions became harmonious. We had a detailed overall action plan. We all agreed that we would not cooperate with evil force on any of their requests; we'll go to jail together and get out of jail together; we would not leave a single practitioner behind. On one of the trips to Beijing, there were more than 20 Dafa practitioners. We started at the same time and were running toward the center of Tiananmen Square. While we were running we unfurled Falun Dafa banners . Then, everybody linked hands together to make a circle and shouted loudly. At that time I truly felt the whole group's earth-shaking strength and power. The police and the plain-clothes police could not pull us apart. That day was June 1^st, "Children's Day," and there were many people in Tiananmen Square. It took the police about half an hour to get us into police vehicles. When we arrived at the Tiananmen police substation, none of us told our names and addresses. Initially, the police used the fake Appeal Office forms to deceive us, but we were not fooled. Then, they pulled us out one by one and cruelly tortured us to force us to make a confession. We formed a circle and protested with one loud voice, "Police beating people violates the law! Stop beating people!" While a policeman tried to beat a young male practitioner, several female practitioners stepped up and formed a shield. This move surprised the police. They said that they had detained some practitioners before and when beating them they all said "thanks." The police said, "Now, you do not obey. Do you want to have a prison uprising?" We spoke with the force of justice, "Our Teacher tells the real practitioners not to hit back when we are hit and not to return verbal insults when we are insulted. When you beat us, you actually give us De (virtue). But now what the evil force slanders and goes against are Falun Dafa and our Teacher. As practitioners, it's our sacred duty to step forward and protect Dafa. Moreover, we peacefully appeal to our government, which are the rights that our Constitution guarantees to the citizens. Police are created to enforce the law. Instead, you beat people and you violate the law. We must protest your unlawful act." Having heard these words, the police could not say anything in response. Some police became a bit reluctant. Next day, the police released one elderly and one thin, female practitioner. But, that same night, those two went to Tiananmen Square to do the sitting meditation. As a result, they were detained again. The police swore at them, saying that they had mental problems. They replied, "all of us came together as a group and we must leave together." Afterwards, the police began to release some practitioners. But those practitioners did not want to leave alone. We continued to recite the Fa and practice the Falun Gong exercises inside the cells. Though without food, we all felt a strong field and everyone was energetic. On the third day, including other groups, the number of people not giving their names or addresses had increased to over 50. Again, the police came to interrogate individual practitioners. We joined our hands and shouted, "We want to appeal to the State Council. Police should not beat people!" The police were exasperated and they called in 8 strong "hatchet men" to beat us up. Suddenly, the detention cells were in mess. Finally, the police got exhausted. Many practitioners were severely injured. The police were afraid and they decided to drop all of us off in a suburban area that night. However, their vehicles were broken and could not be driven. They had to release all of us. Over 50 practitioners happily and dignifiedly walked out of the Tiananmen police substation. These types of improvements in our group behavior and group understanding strongly suffocated the evil forces. In fact, there were many such examples. You can read similar reports on the Minghui Net. At present, the cultivation environment in Mainland China is very harsh. But, we should look at the worldwide Fa rectification process as a whole. Spreading the Fa to the world is an important task. The position of each Dafa particle is different but their functions are the same. In the lecture at the Great Lakes Conference in North America, Teacher said, "Because students both inside and outside of China are one body. When this thing takes place, there have to be some persons who do this and some who do that. Since it's a test aimed at the Fa, no matter where you are or what you're doing, you are improving yourself in the midst of the things you're supposed to do. There are reasons behind what everyone does. There's no difference in terms of the realm of Consummation and the progress towards Consummation--wherever you're supposed to reach Consummation, you're sure to go there. Here's one case. The display of evil in Mainland China is so vicious, without students overseas revealing the truth and supporting students in China -- think about it -- wouldn't the evil be doing bad things even more recklessly and without restraint? Isn't it true? This is why everything our students have done in validating the Fa has effectively exposed the evil and restrained the evil, and at the same time supported our students in Mainland China. Everything that's been done -- whether it's your going to Tiananmen, your clarifying the truth to people in other environments, or your spreading the Fa and exposing the truth of the evil outside of China -- it's all extraordinary, because you are one body." I understand that because in China tens of thousands of Dafa practitioners are resisting the evil force with diamond-like solidity. Dafa practitioners in China are enduring the hardships without resentment, while the overseas Dafa practitioners are able to actively clarify the truth and expose the evil beings. It in turn helps to spread Dafa all over the world and let every person know about Dafa. Actually, this is our great and benevolent Teacher's salvation for everyone, while at the same time rectifying the Fa in the universe. After realizing this level of the Fa, we won't be worried when our fellow practitioners are arrested and beaten. If they can face the evil force with diamond-like solidity and use their righteous thoughts to suffocate and eliminate the evil, then they are already establishing their mighty virtue in the universe. We should respect these fellow practitioners. But, we feel very sorry for those who have abandoned Dafa and those who even walked to the opposite side of Dafa. Their lives could have been saved. Because they stumbled in handling the tribulations arranged by the old cosmic forces, Teacher still gives them another opportunities to repent. If they do not awaken soon, then their true lives will fall down into miserable depths and they will be beyond redemption. These tribulations have not yet come to an end. Teacher is still compassionately waiting. As Dafa particles we must face the current tribulations with a pure heart and a clear mind. We must dissolve ourselves into the Fa and be compassionate to sentient beings. Teacher recently told us, "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful." Actually, the evil force is nothing to be afraid of. During the Fa-rectification, the key is to completely get rid of fear. With the Fa and Teacher's guidance, everything we do shows our real xinxing. Teacher arranges everything for us. We should have nothing to worry about. Should we have any reason not to try our best to do the things that we should do? At present, the Dafa practitioners in China participating in revealing the truth are short in numbers and the environment is tough. In the current situation, we especially need to strengthen our communication and share our experiences. By improving ourselves as a whole, our righteous thoughts can suppress the evil forces more effectively. Thus, we can create an irresistible, mighty Fa-rectification current. But, we still need to be careful when handling specific matters and we cannot treat this circumstance lightly because the evil forces have not been completely eliminated. Though we are short of hands, every Dafa practitioner is a Dafa particle shining brightly and lighting up the environment till the great moment of Fa-rectification comes to the human world.
