April 15, 2001 |   Dafa Practitioners from Belgium

[Minghui Net] On the afternoon of April 5, 2001, two officials in charge of Human Rights and Asian Affairs at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs made an appointment with two Falun Gong practitioners who once suffered brutal persecution in Mainland China. The practitioners recounted the brutal tortures they suffered in China's jails and labor camps, exposing the illegal acts of Jiang Zemin and his regime in recklessly violating the Chinese constitution. They also answered the two officials' questions.

The Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials earnestly listened to the Falun Gong practitioners' presentation of the brutal torture they suffered in China, and indicated that the Belgian government understood the facts about China's persecution of Falun Gong. They brought up the human rights issue of Falun Gong practitioners with the Chinese government in each of their human rights dialogues. They also expressed that the Belgian government opposed the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

After the meeting, Falun Gong practitioners submitted materials to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, including the latest human rights record report and a videotape analyzing the "self-immolation" incident.
