Re 'Falun Gong faces new terror net' (the Age, 20,12)

It is a real tragedy to hear that tens of millions of people in China, who practice meditation and qigong exercises for a healthy mind and body, are subjected to such severe persecution from their own government.

Few know that the people of this spiritual movement practice Truth, Compassion and Forbearance, the guiding principles of Falun Gong. Even fewer people in China realise that the founder of the practice, Mr. Li Hongzhi, was nominated and shortlisted the last two consecutive years for the coveted Nobel Peace Prize.
