Spread the truth from person to person, from heart to heart. Clarifying the truth through social relationships is flexible, safe and effective. There are some aspects that we need to pay special attention to such as reading more of Teacher's books and scriptures and being persistent while clarifying the truth. With more experience, it becomes easier to do a better job of clarifying the truth.

Today, 151 people published solemn declarations, announcing regret about their words and actions while being persecuted by the evil that did not conform to the standard of a practitioner. They declared that what they did at the time was null and void. They will continue to cultivate steadfastly and compensate for the damage brought to Dafa. They will catch up with Teacher's Fa rectification process and become qualified Dafa disciples.

Linyi City, Shandong Province practitioners used their righteous thoughts to break the evil force's arrangements. A policeman used a cable composed of four #8 iron wires to beat a female practitioner until her body was covered with wounds. Another male practitioner was surrounded and attacked by four policemen. They tried to use sleep-deprivation to force him into giving up his beliefs. Both practitioners walked out of the detention center openly and with dignity, holding their righteous thoughts. The "610 Office" attempted to send practitioner Li Xiu and Mei Zi to brainwashing class in Wangchun. They both sent forth righteous thoughts and walked out safely, right in front of the policemen's eyes.

Three sisters in A'cheng City in Heilongjiang Province were persecuted by Jiang Zemin's criminal group for practicing Dafa. They were arrested, detained, tortured and had money extorted from them many times. Because of the persecution they were forced to leave their home.

Police officers at the No. 1 Detention Center in Qiongshan City, Hainan Province used brutal tortures such as beating with sticks and fists, kicking, handcuffing behind the back, submerging into water, and sleep deprivation on practitioners. A practitioner's spine was broken from beatings, and he was on the verge of death. Even so, the police officer pointed a gun at him and said threateningly, "I can beat you to death, throw you out of the window, and then claim that you were beaten to death because you tried to escape."

Qinghua University residential office staff members Chen Kequan, Ren Xihua and Wu Jingjun from the Zhongguancun Police Station recently began another round of persecution of Dafa practitioners who attend Qinghua University. Wu Jingjun declared, "We've arrested and sent to jail every practitioner at Qinghua University, and now it's time to deal with the retirees. If they don't write 'guarantee letters,' we'll send them to brainwashing class."

We have received numerous reports of practitioners being illegally detained, sent to forced labor camps and brutally tortured in Leshan City and Jianwei County, Sichuan Province.

Details of the bloody violence used in a brainwashing class in Pingshan County, Hebei Province are being revealed. Officials forced practitioners to stand outside under the scorching sun, handcuffed them to a tree for up to seven days and seven nights non-stop, force-fed them water with hot pepper, and burned them with cigarettes. A wooden stick, around 1.3 inches in diameter, broke from being used to beat the practitioners. Several thugs brutally beat a 65-year-old retired teacher and former county political consulting committee member, Li Shouwo, until he passed out three times.

11 practitioners in Dazhou City were illegally detained, sent to forced labor camps, or sentenced to jail terms. A female practitioner was sentenced to 9 years in jail for printing and distributing truth-clarifying literature around the 2001 Spring Festival. She is now being detained at Jianyang Prison.

A brief summary about the persecution against practitioners illegally detained in Pingchang County. Wu Xianjian, the National Security Section Head in the local Public Security Bureau, tortured Dafa practitioners brutally. He punched and kicked practitioners, and forced them to jump repeatedly or remain bent over for long periods of time. He said, "I will kill you with a knife and then tell people that you committed suicide."

Over 30 practitioners in Weiyuan County were extorted, sent to forced labor camps, and sentenced to jail. Practitioner Sun Yongde was extorted out of more than 6000 Yuan and tortured to death.

A brief summary of the persecution against 5 practitioners in Pi County. A female practitioner was extorted out of 5000 Yuan on February 17. Later she was transferred to the brainwashing class in Pi County, where she was extorted out of another 2000 Yuan.

List of practitioners persecuted on September 12 in Jingyan County. The perpetrators sent practitioners to forced labor camps, paraded them through the streets to humiliate them, and tried the practitioners in public. Some practitioners were put into water dungeons.

In Nanjiang County, 8 practitioners were persecuted. 73-year-old Yue Junsong was sentenced to 3 years in a forced labor camp.

13 practitioners were illegally detained in Dazhu County. Zhang Hongqiong, wife of the Wan County prosecutor, was arrested for posting Dafa fliers. Zhang was forcefully paraded through the streets and sentenced to 4 years of forced labor.

18 practitioners in Bazhong region were illegally detained, extorted, sent to forced labor camps, and jailed.

Over 30 practitioners in the Emei region were persecuted. Some were extorted out of 30,000 Yuan, and several practitioners were forcefully put on the "Dead Person's Bed" or "Big Letter Board" (reference available at: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/11/24/16156.html) and tortured for 7 days by the guards in Shizhushan Detention Center.

On the night of December 2, a young man who was not Chinese said to the Falun Gong practitioners who were clarifying the truth on Chang'an Street in front of Tiananmen Square, "We all know the truth. You should clarify the truth to the Chinese people. Be careful though."

On the afternoon of October 22, I slid some truth-clarifying literature into the trunk of a car. Then someone walked over to me while shouting, but I approached him calmly and said, "Nothing special. It's just a copy of truth-clarifying literature about Falun Gong. Think about how vicious Jiang Zemin's regime is in persecuting Falun Gong. How can you just stand by and do nothing? You should stand up and call for justice." He kept nodding his head while listening.

I wrote some words on the walls along the hallway in our residential building, "Do not accept money that does not belong to you. Do not keep property that does not belong to you. Do not do things that are not righteous." Several days later, I noticed one more sentence had been added there: "Do not say things that harm others."

I attained Dafa in October 1998, but I did not really come to realize the profound meaning of Dafa and become a genuine Dafa disciple until 8 to 9 months later. When I attended the Taiwan Fa Conference in December 2000, I suddenly realized that the Fa is so great. I could no longer practice only at home. I knew that I must step forward to expose the evil. Validating Dafa is the responsibility of every Dafa disciple.

An 82-year-old lady in the rural area had heard only a little bit about Dafa, but she remembered "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" and changed tremendously. One day, her daughter-in-law told her that the police would come to search for Dafa books soon. She responded immediately, "Get the book and place it in my bed. I'll just lie in bed; see who dares to touch me!"

Voice of America reported on December 16 that Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Min died on December 5 in a detention center in Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province, after being beaten continuously by the police.

Five American Dafa practitioners who went to Tiananmen Square to appeal last month paid a visit to the U.S. State Department on December 14. They also visited their senators and representatives. In the afternoon, they talked with the International Religious Freedom Committee for 2 hours. In the evening, 3 of them went to the Chinese Embassy to appeal peacefully.
