A Few Stories about Clarifying the Truth Anytime and Anywhere

(Clearwisdom.net) In the last year or so, I often traveled to various places clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. This gave me the opportunity to meet many everyday people. The following are some of our stories.

Once when I was in a taxi, I started to talk to the driver about Dafa. That driver didn't know the truth and mentioned some of the lies reported on TV and others places. First, he said that he didn't believe that the party would persecute good people. He was a member of the party himself. I said that what was stipulated in the Party Constitution was very good, but the key issue was the hearts of people. A person was able to behave well only when he wanted to behave well from the bottom of his heart. If people, including the party members, were selfish and didn't care about others or even the national interest, then the Party Constitution was no more than meaningless words. I said to him that nowadays there is so much corruption among the party members, and it was all due to the degeneration of people's morality. He became silent after hearing this. I then further clarified the truth to him with my own experiences. I told him about how my whole family became healthy after practicing Falun Gong, how we were detained for doing the exercises, why I went to appeal, etc. When I was about to leave to catch the bus, he said, "I can take you a bit further, free of charge. Tell me more." Then I talked to him about some of Dafa's principles. When I got off the taxi, I paid him the full amount on the meter. At first, he refused to accept my money, but I said, "I should pay however much I owe you for the ride. Every Dafa practitioner would do the same." He said, "Although I know very little about Falun Gong, I can tell you are truly a good person." I said, "All Dafa practitioners are good people. This is what our Master requires us to be." He replied, "I will definitely find a copy of Zhuan Falun to read."

Another time when I got in a taxi, the driver was listening to some Buddhist music. I asked, "You believe in Buddhism, don't you?" He said, "Yeah." I said, "Then you should read Falun Gong books." He said, "Why should I?" and asked me about the "self-immolation" in Tiananmen Square. I told him that Falun Gong is a cultivation practice, which teaches people to become better human beings, and it cultivates both mind and body. The "self-immolation" was only a malicious set-up against Falun Gong by Jiang Zemin's government. I told him that I was a Falun Gong practitioner myself, so I knew the truth. I then told him some of Dafa's principles. When I got out of the taxi, I gave him some Dafa materials, a truth-clarifying CD, as well as the URL of Minghui Net. He was very excited and kept saying, "Thank you!" I walked away, and when I looked back a while later, his car was still parked by the roadside, and the light above the driver's seat was still on. He was already reading the materials with keen interest.

Again in a taxi, I started a conversation with the driver about Falun Gong. Step by step, I told him about the truth. At first he could not understand, but gradually he began to accept what I was saying. When I reached the destination, he tried stop me from getting off and said, "I will not take any more passengers today. Let's talk a bit more. I have a lot of questions." With this, he parked the taxi by the roadside. He told me that one of his colleagues tried very hard to find a black market copy of Zhuan Falun (Dafa books are banned in China) and finally got one for 30 Yuan. His colleague said that he would keep it because it seemed that Falun Gong would be redressed and he could make money once the price went up. I told him that using Dafa books to make money was wrong. Once his colleague read the book, he would not do this. I also told him that his colleague might have a good predestined relationship with Dafa. He said that he would borrow the book from his colleague and read it thoroughly.

Once I wanted to get out of a taxi, but the driver felt awkward and said that he was not allowed to park there, and I had to walk back some distance. I said, "It doesn't matter, I understand." He was moved and said, "Many passengers don't understand the difficulty of being a taxi driver, and some even refuse to pay with the excuse that the service was not good enough." I told him that I was a practitioner of Falun Dafa, and that if everyone considered things from others' point of view, then such things would not happen. I also gave him a truth-clarifying brochure. When I got off, he opened the door and shook both hands with me, thanking me for my understanding and for the brochure.

Once, a fellow practitioner and I were on a bus. When the bus came to an intersection not far from where we were going, we saw that a taxi's front wheel was stuck in a drainage opening right in the middle of the intersection. The driver looked very worried. We said to each other, "Let's get off to help him." The bus driver said, "Hurry up, I will wait for you." We said, "Don't wait, it's not far from where we are going." We got off the bus and helped the taxi driver get the wheel out, and he was very grateful. I said to him, "There is no need to thank us. We are practitioners of Falun Dafa." At that time the bus driver was still waiting for us to get back on. We waved to him and said, "Please drive on. We don't need to take the bus any more. Remember, we are practitioners of Falun Dafa!"

There is a girl from Sichuan Province who works in Beijing. She lost contact with fellow practitioners for a long time, but kept spreading the truth by herself. She would go to some advertising shops to collect pieces of leftover colored paper and stickers, cut them into different shapes, write short phrases on them and put them up in public places. Later, she was able to make contact with other practitioners and obtained some truth-clarifying materials. Everyday she would go out to distribute the materials. Once she came to a house, but could not find any place to leave the materials. So she knocked on the door. A military officer opened the door. When she handed him the CD and asked him to learn the truth about Falun Gong, to her surprise, the officer immediately broke up the CD and said that the army was not allowed to read such things. The girl was very upset and said, "You don't have to look at it if you don't want to, but why break it up? Do you know how precious these materials are, and how many hands that CD has passed through before it reached your hand? Do you know how many people were detained, beaten, tortured and even sacrificed their lives to bring the truth to you?" Upon hearing this, the officer was speechless for a while, then changed his manner and said, "I am sorry, you are all very good people." Then he sent her off downstairs.
