Lu Hongfeng, the former vice-principal of No.1 elementary school of Lingwu city, Ningxia province, and her husband Qin Yuhuan, was forcibly taken to the mental hospital by the authorities. Lu Hongfeng was resolute in cultivating the Fa. After being tortured with drugs, she died on September 6, 2000.

The relatives of Zhang Yulan, a victim who died in the atrocities at the Wanjia labor camp, received the following threat: if they accepted the interview by foreign journalists, it would cause the "whole family to disappear". Now, the whole family is forced to take their 8-year-old child and live out on the streets to avoid further persecution.

The Falun Dafa practitioners in Chaoyanggou Labor Camp, in Changchun city, went on hunger strike to protest, and it has been about a week as of now. The practitioners who went on hunger strike were brutally force-fed; some had the flesh on the sides of their lips torn off! The situation is unprecedented in its brutality, but the number of practitioners going on hunger strike is continuously increasing each day.

When Falun Dafa practitioners went home to visit their relatives, they clarified the truth to the travelers, relatives, friends, fellow students and teachers along the way and allowed many beings to be saved.

Falun Dafa practitioners in Toronto clarified the truth to the Chinese people in Chinatown and tourist sites: a 70-year-old Chinese immigrant, and a teacher who led a student group changed their perceptions and voluntarily asked for Falun Dafa materials; the officials of the Chinese delegation said, "I do not dare to take Falun Dafa materials, but I can take pictures for you to bring back......"

A Falun Dafa practitioner who is an armed policeman wrote a letter to his comrades:

In order to avoid the cruel persecution of Jiang Zemin's regime, it is better to clarify the truth and to save people. I left the unit on October 12 this year and lived on the streets destitute. The people's army should uphold the justice for the kind hearted people and never become the tool for the evil regime to suppress people.

Falun Gong practitioners in Germany made great strides in alleviating the doubts of many Chinese overseas students. After one Chinese student asked many questions, he called home the next day to tell his relatives in China about his positive understanding of Falun Gong.

In mid September of this year, despite intense guarding of the area, practitioners twice hung a red Dafa banner on an ancient tower in a city of Hebei Province, which strongly suffocated the evil. The banner was about 9 feet long and about 3 feet wide.

In late March, Gansu Province's Pinliang City Central Theater showed a movie that slanders Dafa. Halfway through the show, however, someone's lit cigarette caused a fire which burned the theater to the ground. This illustrated a heavenly principle and was a serious warning to the evil for trying to damage Dafa!

Zhao Dongxia, a practitioner detained in Shuancheng City's Detention Center in Heilongjiang Province has been on an eleven-day hunger strike to protest illegal overtime detention. His life is in danger.

The following is a list of thugs from Shahe City, Hebei Province police department who are responsible for the death of practitioner Ren Mengjun: chief Xi Zhanjun, politics and security section chief Jia Qifang, He Jiuzhong and Zhao Fucheng; Sanhe City Party Secretary Li Zongyi; Beicheng Police Station chief Zhao Yongkang and deputy chief Li Zhijun.

The following is a list of thugs in Quzhou County of Handan City who participated in the persecution of practitioners: Li Tongren and Ma Jinsheng, leaders of politics and security section of the county police department; Zhang Weiping, director of the county detention center; Qiao Linghuai, chief of Anzhai Town's police station; Zhang Hongxun, Party secretary of Anzhai Town; Zhang Zhongxin, county Party secretary; Wang Lujun, chief of the county police department; Zhang Jingshan, politics head of the county police department; Niu Jinlu, secretary of the county politics and law committee; Lou Qingyun, deputy chief of Houcun Town's police station.

Exposing the crimes committed by people from the Qiqihar City police department in Heilongjiang Province: they used abuse and instruments of torture on practitioners to force them to give up cultivation by tying their arms behind their backs and hanging them up in the air by their arms. The police shocked the private parts of the practitioners with electric batons and further humiliated female practitioners.

Ongoing partial report regarding the persecution of and extortion from practitioners in Harbin City: Recently, some propaganda departments of Yunnan Province organized a circuit exhibit that slanders Dafa and other similar activities. Most of the people who went were reluctant to go. A practitioner who went with his colleagues [the work unit required their employees to go] began sending forth righteous thoughts and promoting the Fa upon arriving at the exhibit.

Before October 1 [Chinese National Holiday], police from Gongyi City, Henan Province broke into a female practitioner's home and kidnapped her. For the past twenty days we had no news from her. Her whereabouts are unknown. Her paralyzed mother and young child are left home alone and uncared for.

Many practitioners in Changchun City have lately experienced inexplicable problems on their computers and various appliances, and the frequency of the problems is increasing. The evil is approaching its dead end, so it is extremely vicious and dares to directly damage the principles in the human world. This issue should be highly regarded by practitioners. Increase your Fa study and monitor yourselves, send forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate the interference and eradicate the evil.

On the evening of October 26, police arrested and beat practitioners Wang Tianming and Zhong Guanli in Changchun City while they clarified the truth. Police also arrested another three practitioners when they put up balloons with Dafa Truth Clarifying messages on them at Changchun City's Cultural Square. Their homes were also ransacked. Police are now laying in wait near practitioner Yi Yanli's home for the opportunity to arrest practitioners.

Beginning in October, at various locations in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, a play that slanders Dafa is being staged. This play poisons the minds of the people. Zhang Shangquan, director of Chuanju Troupe of Dazu County, created this play. The actors are: Zhang Junxiang, Wen Qicai, Tang Guandong, Wang Zijuan, Jiang Zhumei, He Xiaohao and others. Fellow practitioners, please send forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the controlling evil behind the author, director and actors of this play.

Today, seventy-seven practitioners solemnly expressed their regret and declared that whatever they had said and done under duress to renounce Dafa was null and void. They vowed that they would continue to practice Falun Gong, closely follow Teacher in Fa rectification, and redouble their efforts in exposing and eradicating the evil.

Dafa Practitioner, Yang Mei, female, 23, was brutally tortured and killed at the Second Detention Center in Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. Before she died, she was tied for an entire month to the "death bed." (Note: The four limbs of the practitioner are spread out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all, and is not allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom.) During that time, the guards inserted a tube into her stomach through her nose. Her feet became so swollen that they looked flat and square, and the skin all over her body peeled off constantly.

My journey of Fa rectification: I went to Tiananmen Square five times to validate the Fa, where I suffered the humiliation and torture of the evil. When I was at the Changping Detention Center in Beijing, I was on a hunger strike for seven days. During that time, I was bound with handcuffs and ankle shackles, held to the ground but subsequently pulled up and made to run on the snow barefoot.

The Kuiwen Teacher Training Center in Weifang, Shandong Province is an evil den used to torture practitioners. The guards took away by force and deceived more than a hundred practitioners and sent them to the detention centers where they were illegally detained. Many of these practitioners were so cruelly tortured that they broke down mentally. These spiteful individuals also extorted money from the practitioners, spending it on extravagant dining, prostitutes and gambling.

An imprisoned practitioner wrote to the folks in her hometown that the inhuman ordeals of the prisons had not shaken the righteous faith of the practitioners. She said that these practitioners would rather die than give up their cultivation. She told them not to be fooled by the lies and rumors, but rather treat practitioners kindly and keep Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their hearts.

A lesson we learned from the past as well as today: One's evil deeds will bring about retribution to one's family. Everyone will suffer from calamities if their leaders do not govern morally. The karma caused by the leaders of a country will cause its people to suffer. The persistent calamities throughout China for the past two years are a direct result of Jiang Zemin's sinful persecution of Falun Gong.

The officials in Xuzhou City, Anhui Province were incapable of discerning good from evil. Their persecution of Dafa practitioners has caused anger from the heavens and the people. The city was recently rocked by a series of explosions along the main street.

The aunt of a practitioner listened to the lies told by Jiang's government and gave up her cultivation after July 22, 1999. She died soon after. One night after her death, this practitioner saw his aunt in his dreams. His aunt told him, with remorse, that she now knew that Falun Dafa is good and that the self-immolation incident was staged. His aunt went on to say, "But why didn't you tell me and help me understand the truth?"

Another form of demonic interference can come from the wish to achieve certain goals, eagerness, slacking off, complaining, and suspicion, which are all attachments. One must persevere in studying the Fa, measuring everything against Fa, and immersing one's every word and action in the Fa.

Dafa has perfected everything in the universe. All Dafa practitioners that have followed closely in the Fa-rectification process are heading toward consummation. Do not rely on changes in external factors. Complete the last part of your journey in the last "violent winds."

Human thoughts and language are only within the limits of human beings. They cannot guide gods' thinking. We should participate in the Fa-rectification process with gods' thinking, which is the microscopic and purest self in the origin.

A Few Words: What Master says is Fa. Understanding principles based on Fa is the right understanding. Only by eliminating human concepts and being in a god's state in our every thought can we have righteous thoughts. We should use righteous thoughts to guide our every word and action so as to achieve righteous behavior.

In order to adjust well the relationship between cultivation and study, one is first a cultivator and then a student.

Falun Gong practitioners in Germany held the "SOS Rescue Falun Gong Practitioners in China Charity Exhibition" for Zhang Cuiying, an Australian artist who is a Falun Gong practitioner and who was tortured in a prison in China.

Practitioners in Orlando, Florida joined the Latino Culture celebration on October 28 to let people know about Falun Gong and the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

A nine-year old practitioner told his mom a dream he had. His mom got the hint and understood that children are also helping with Dafa activities in their own ways.

China cancelled its restrictions on an Italian citizen, Mr. Fava, out of pressure from external sources. Alfredo Fava is the general manager of a textile company in Shanghai and was expelled from China on October 8 for participating in the activities that support Falun Gong.
