According to reliable sources, the Public Security Chief of China's Hubei province, Zhao Zhifei, who was sued by Wuhan Falun Gong practitioner Peng Liang during his visit to the United States this July, quickly returned to China to mobilize the police force in Hubei province to massively hunt down and arrest Falun Gong practitioners. As a result, many Falun Gong practitioners in Wuchang district whom the police thought to be associated with Peng Liang have been arrested and cruelly tortured.

After three years of abeyance, The Sino-American Human Rights Dialogue finally resumed with the first talks being held on October 9 - 11 at the U.S. State Department in Washington D.C. Practitioners gathered right in front of the building where the human rights talks were taking place, and stayed there for 3 full days calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
