Ms. Zhao Fenglian, a Falun Gong practitioner from Jinchang City, Gansu Province was severely persecuted at the women's prison in that area. Because of inhuman torture, she became emaciated, appearing as just skin and bones. When the prison staff realized that she was near death, they told her family to take her to a hospital for medical treatment. Yet, they refused to release her as soon as her condition improved. They told her family to come back in a few days...for her ashes! At about 9:00 a.m. on December 22, 2005, Zhao Fenglian left this human world forever.
