Case Description:
Falun Dafa practitioner Mrs. Gao Aihua, 42, lived on Hanzheng Street in the Qiaokou District of Wuhan City, Hubei Province. In 2000, she went to Beijing to clarify the facts and validate Dafa. She was detained in the Wuhan City First Detention Center. She was then transferred to Hewan Forced Labor Camp and persecuted there for one year and six months. On August 2, 2002, a group of scoundrels led by Officer Zhu from the Hanjiadun Avenue Police Station broke into Mrs. Gao's house. They pinned Mrs. Gao to the ground then pulled her up by the hair and took her to the Etouwan brainwashing center. After 18 days on a hunger strike to protest the unlawful detention, Mrs. Gao was released. In September 2003, the Hanjiadun Avenue Station police arrested her again. This time they sentenced Mrs. Gao to 18 months of forced labor in the Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City. Mrs. Gao's relatives did not know her whereabouts for a long time, and they were afraid to ask the police. Mrs. Gao refused to submit to the persecution while she was in prison. As a result, she was hung up for 15 days and subjected to a variety of tortures. Mrs. Gao's husband divorced her while she was imprisoned. Long-term torture severely injured Mrs. Gao. She died on March 20, 2006.
