Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Wu Yingzi has been to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa three times. She was arrested and detained at Tiananmen Square Detention Center, where she was brutally tortured all three times. She was only released after her physical condition became serious. After she returned home, local police detained her at Wangqing Detention Center, and then sent her to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun for one year.
After she was released from the forced labor camp the first time, Ms. Wu continued telling people the facts about Falun Gong and was again sent to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp. After she returned from the forced labor camp the second time, she sent truth clarification materials to fellow practitioners.
