Case Description:
alun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Guanghong was 47 years old and lived in Anshan City, Liaoning Province. He was a driver for the Electric Power Industry Bureau of Lishan District, Anshan City. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. In August 2001, he was jailed in Yuemingshan Forced Labor Camp. Right after his arrival, he was seriously beaten by the chief of the Education Section, Zhang Yongli, and a guard with the surname of Wang. In 2003, Zhang Guanghong was illegally sentenced to 4 years in jail. On the first day in Yingkou Prison, he was tied up on a tiger bench and beaten with electric batons, such that blisters developed all over his body. After that, he became ill with pulmonary tuberculosis and diabetes. After being released in 2007, Zhang Guanghong's health condition constantly deteriorated. In April 2009, he passed away.
