Case Description:

Dafa practitioner Yi Yongjiang, 37, male, from Lanzhou City in Gansu province is also known as Yang Shan (meaning promoting benevolence to others). Since July 1999, wicked people have slandered Teacher, attacked Dafa, and persecuted Dafa practitioners. Yang Shan has been detained illegally many times. He was wanted and pursued by police for a long time. He once protected Dafa books with his life and shocked the policemen into giving up their attempt to take them. In order to clarify the truth to the masses, he traveled everywhere and worked diligently. Sometimes he went to another county alone and distributed leaflets, covering the whole town in one day. Later on, he worked on printing. The number of leaflets produced by him was enough for every resident in Lanzhou City, Gansu province.

Entering into  December 2000, he was enlightened to the fact that we definitely should not allow the evil's slanders on Teacher to enter the new century and new epoch. On December 26th, he and several fellow practitioners took the train to Beijing. On the train, he told the others: "I will condense my life to a sentence and write it on the banner with my blood, then I will stand on your shoulder to open the banner and let people read it. It will say "Restore Teacher's Reputation."

However, because of evil's long-term persecution and torture, Yang Shan was on the brink of death. On December 27, he began to spit out blood, almost one liter by 10:00 in the morning. We all tried to persuade him to go back to his home, but he insisted that he did not want to go anywhere. He said: I would rather die on Tiananmen Square validating the Fa if I must die. After he spit out a second liter of blood, he said: as long as I still have one breath and one drop of blood, I will hold out the banner at Tiananmen and shout: "Restore Teacher's Reputation". By the time he spit out a third liter of blood, we could only roughly hear one word: "Teacher".

On the evening of December 27, at 10:30, he exhausted all of his energy and blood, and departed from the world forever.
