Case Description:
Mr. Wang Hongbin, 39 years old, graduated from Changchun Post College and was an engineer at the telephone equipment plant of Hebei Province. On December 5, 2000, the "610 Office" and the Changan Branch of the Shijiazhuang City Police Department illegally ransacked Wang Hongbin's home and took him away. The police tortured him in order to extort a confession. He was then illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor education and thrown into Team 2 of Shijiazhuang Labor Camp. While in the labor camp, Wang Hongbin suffered extremely cruel torture both physically and mentally. The pain he experienced was unspeakable. Later he could not eat anything because of stomachache. Only after that was he sent to the hospital for examination. In November 2002, Wang Hongbin was released. At that time, he was already extremely weak. He often sweated, coughed uncontrollably, and he couldn't get to sleep either. The torture he endured had greatly traumatized him. His health deteriorated rapidly. He passed away at 11:45 p.m. on October 9, 2003. Related articles:
