Mr. Liu Jinhua, 57, was a resident of Tianshuibao Village, Daliang Town, Wuqing District, Tianjin City. Before he practiced Falun Gong, he suffered from many diseases such as diabetes and liver cirrhosis. All of his diseases disappeared after he started practicing cultivation.

After July 20, 1999, because he wrote "Falun Dafa is good" on an utility pole to clarify the truth, the persecutors sentenced him to three years of forced labor. During his detention in a forced labor camp, Mr. Liu suffered a relapse of his old diseases. As a result, he was released. After returning home, Mr. Liu studied the Fa and practiced the exercises, and his diseases again disappeared.

Persecutors at the local police station harassed him at his home many times. In January 2004, they confiscated Mr. Liu's cassette tape player and audiotapes of Teacher's lectures, and the next day they searched his home for Falun Dafa books, but found nothing.
