Practitioner Mrs. Ju Xingfeng, 61, was the wife of a doctor at the No. 5 Middle School of Zaoyang City, Hubei Province. She began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997 and became healthy. After the persecution began, her work unit unlawfully detained her for a long time because she refused to write a guarantee statement. In February 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was taken back to Zaoyang City. She was held at a detention center and was later sent to her work unit. She firmly refused to give up her belief and was brutally tortured. She was at the brink of death when her family picked her up in September 2000. She passed away several days later.
