After a documented history of being imprisoned and tortured in the past, Mr Zheng was arrested again in 2006 and held without visitors including his family. In August 2008 his family was called to the prison hospital where they saw Mr Zheng's dead body. Mr Zheng was 45. His family members were kept 'off limits' to public contact until after his body was cremated.
Satillite photos bring to life the number, size, and appearance of detention facilities in Beijing area.
Mr. Zheng Shoujun Tortured to Death in Liaoning Province (Photos)
Mr. Zheng Shoujun, 45, lived in Niuxintuo Township, Liaozhong County (under Shenyang City). He started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998, and he kept his faith after the persecution began in 1999. At the end of 2000, he went to Beijing to clarify the truth, but was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor. In order to force to him give up his faith, the guards at the Zhangshi Labor Camp in Shenyang City tortured him over a long period of time. In a photograph below he is seen demonstrating one of the cruel methods of torture called "Chicken with a twisted neck."
Mr. Zheng Shoujun demonstrated the torture he endured in 2004.
At around 7:30 a.m. on September 27, 2001, seven to eight brainwashing instructors tried to force Mr. Zheng to accept the brainwashing, but their efforts were in vain. Mr. Zheng was beaten mercilessly. He solemnly told the brainwashing perpetrators their actions were illegal. Mr. Zheng was then pushed down on the floor, and his foot was scratched by metal and bled profusely. He was then pushed under a metal table. Mr. Zheng's legs were attached to the floor 30o apart, then his neck was tied to his calves, and his upper body was then forcefully pressed down. Mr. Zheng was a very large man, weighing 200 pounds. His stomach was squeezed and his neck was pulled down to his ankles. His neck and feet were tied with a bed-sheet, resulting in his face and stomach touching the floor. Lastly, they tied his hands behind his back.
Mr. Zheng was kept in that position while his legs were repeatedly kicked. He was asked, "Do you still want to practice? If you do we could leave you tied up like this forever!" Mr. Zheng answered, "Even if my bones are crushed to pieces, I will still practice!" Mr. Zheng was in extreme pain, as if all the bones in his body were fractured, the tendons all broken, and as if ten thousands knives were cutting into his body. His clothes were soaked with sweat and this left a puddle of water on the floor. Mr. Zheng cried out loudly in pain, but none of the guards paid any attention because it was the guards who ordered the brainwashing personnel to torture him like this. After four hours he was released because the guards needed the space to eat lunch. Mr. Zheng was unable to move upon being released. His body stayed locked in that position, and he experienced extreme pain if any one touched him. These vicious torturers kicked him, pinched him, and beat him to cause injury to his upper body. The pain was so great that it almost caused him to lose consciousness. He could not walk for three months because his feet and legs were dislocated. The soles of his feet turned up, and his ankles would touched the floor first when he tried to walk.
Around October 2001, Management Office Deputy Chair Shi Fengyou, ordered prisoners to keep Mr. Zheng from sleeping. Instead he was forced to squat within the boundaries of one piece of tile on the floor. His head was then tied between his legs with rope and he was forced to stay in this miserable position for 5 hours. Mr. Zheng lost consciousness, his feet and legs were swollen and he could not walk. In February 2002, the Special Warden for the Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners, Song Baishun, gathered several prisoners from the Second Ward. The practitioners, including Mr. Zheng Shoujun, were beaten, deprived of sleep, and forced to squat for long periods of time. Mr. Zheng endured all sorts of torture, but never give up his faith. He was released in the spring of 2004, after an extended three month term of forced labor.
On March 1, 2005, Mr. Zheng was passing out truth clarifying discs, and was arrested by officers of the Hebei Police Station in Heping District, Shenyang City. He was transferred to the Heping District Detention Center on March 3, 2005, where he went on hunger strike to protest the persecution. He was released one week later, but while he was detained, he was restrained in the police station and injected with unknown drugs which caused him to appear sick.
At around 9 p.m. on February 16, 2006, Mr. Zheng was passing out materials in Panjiapu Township, and was arrested by the police. He was interrogated overnight by 610 Office Director Feng Dongchang, Domestic Security Team Leader Li Wei, and Panjiapu Police Station Director Zhu Dezhen. He was imprisoned in the Liaozhong County Detention Center on February 17, 2006. There he was severely beaten on the head. Because the police and the guards blocked all information about his condition, he was not treated nor was his family allowed to visit or ask about his injuries. Mr. Zheng went on hunger strike and refused water to protest his brutal treatment.
For the past two years his family has been unable to learn anything about his condition. On August 18, 2008, the police from Shenyang City suddenly called his family, and asked them to go and see Mr. Zheng at the prison hospital. His family rushed to the hospital, only to see the dead body of Mr. Zheng. In fear of their crimes being exposed, the police secretly cremated Mr. Zheng's body at the Wenguantun crematorium.
From the time Mr. Zheng died of torture, until his body was cremated, the
temporary home of his wife and daughter had many plainclothes police come and
go. During this time it was impossible for anyone to get close to his family.
The details of this crime have yet to be investigated.

View of Persecution Facilities in Daxing, Beijing (Photos)
There are two mysterious facilities in Daxing District, which is located in the southern part of Beijing. There is a lot of farmland in Daxing District, with many elaborate gardens. There are castles near some of these gardens. Many visitors went to Beijing during the Olympic Games. If any foreign journalist or tourist is interested in these places, please go take a look.
Those grand gates look like the Arc de Triomphe in Paris or that of a luxurious hotel. Red tiles and walls can be seen behind some of the high walls. There is electrified wire on the tops of these high walls. They are two facilities that serve as prisons and forced labor camps.

What other country has such extensive facilities for detaining people in its capital city? Moreover, we have not counted the detention centers and prisons that are scattered throughout other districts and counties in Beijing. What do you think? Is it worth visiting? Let's take a general view via Google Earth.
Tianhe Dispatch Center for Prisoners from outside of Beijing
Prisoners from outside of Beijing but sentenced in Beijing and many Falun Gong practitioners that were "illegally sentenced" are imprisoned here. They will be dispatched to prisons throughout the country. The office area is in the south, while the agricultural field where the prisoners labor is to the north.
Prisoners work inside the buildings. The small yard in the lower left hand corner is a place that people will want to avoid by all means.
In the past, the women's prison in Beijing was confined only to a small block located in the south, where there are gray castles as well as the office area in the west. However, with the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, this women's prison was expanded. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dong Cui was beaten to death there. Ms. Xu Na, wife of Mr. Yu Zhou, a musician and practitioner who died just months before the Olympic Games, was also severely tortured there.
Beijing City Prison
The Beijing Prison was known as the "South Building" because its prison area is a soldier's camp called "South Building" before the CCP came into power. At that time, there was only one three-story building in the entire Daxing area. This unique building was turned into a prison.
Beijing Forced Labor Dispatch Center
Don't be deceived by the spacious garden outside the office area and the beautiful gate. Located here is the notorious Beijing Forced Labor Dispatch Center. Almost all of the forced laborers in Beijing, most of whom are Falun Gong practitioners that have been illegally arrested, are sent here from detention centers in different districts of Beijing. In time they will be sent to the Beijing Forced Labor Camp or labor camps in other provinces.
This place is sometimes called "hell on earth" not only because of the hard labor and the strict rules, but more importantly, because of the isolation and cruel tortures that take place all the time. The path beside the middle of the square is where many people were forced to squat down with their hands on their heads for the first time. Many were shocked with electric batons and dragged over the ground just because they refused to squat.
The semi-circular yard hidden behind the building to the far left is the training center. Informants have reported that after the persecution and torture of Falun Gong practitioners in the training center in Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp were exposed to the world, many firm practitioners were transferred here.

Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, which is located due west of the Dispatch Center, is where male Falun Gong practitioners are detained. The big garden to the south of the road is the office area, while the prison area is north of the road. They set aside the grassy area in the front yard of the prison to be like a zoo. However, they are no less cruel just because there are birds in the yard. Mr. Peng Junguang, a practitioner from Huairou, Beijing, was beaten to death here.
There are fewer women criminals than men. That's why the formerly named Tiantanghe Forced Labor Camp, the women's labor camp, was so small. The "L" shaped house with a small yard in the northeast corner of the camp is the training center. During the first two years of the persecution, the police used electrical wire to bind female practitioners together and then shocked them with a generator. The practitioners soon developed blisters all over their bodies.
After the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong, many practitioners who refused to give up the practice were sentenced to a forced labor camp. At least half were female. Tiantanghe Forced Labor Camp was soon full. The women's forced labor camp has changed its address several times.
After the women's labor camp moved in 2001, the old facility was used as a legal training center. In earlier days it was used as a brainwashing center. Groups of practitioners were brainwashed and tortured there. Later, it was turned into a secret concentration center. Falun Gong practitioners, Buddhist monks, and Christians were detained there secretly. As far as outsiders were concerned, the detained people were missing. Nobody knows how many people have been tortured to death here. In 2003, this concentration center was expanded to the north.
Xin'an Forced Labor Camp used to hold male drug abusers. After Tiantanghe Labor Camp was full, the male forced laborers were sent to Northeast China. Then it became another place to torture female Falun Gong practitioners. The women's prison is located in the south, across the road. However, after 2003, Xin'an Labor Camp was too small to hold all the Falun Gong practitioners who were sentenced to forced labor there. The women's labor camp was therefore expanded. It moved again to a newly-built labor camp. What you see here is also an expanded building after the women's labor camp was moved.
The small yard with a door in the southwest corner remains unchanged. That is the training center, where the police tortured female Falun Gong practitioners by means of small metal cages, electric batons, motorcycles, and other devices.

This group of buildings is the notorious Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Wu Junying, a practitioner, was beaten to death when she was detained in this labor camp for the second time.
About 85 percent of the detainees in the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp are Falun Gong practitioners. There are three prison buildings, and each has three floors. One group of forced laborers, about 120 people, is detained on each floor.
The ? arc building hidden behind of the buildings in the east is the training center. It was here that Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying was beaten into a coma and had her skull cracked.
Beijing Juvenile Detention Facility
The Juvenile Detention Facility is located due south of the Forced Labor Dispatch Center. Child workers are used in many Chinese factories. In Chinese forced labor camps, inmates are forced to do slave labor. Those detained in the Juvenile Detention Facility are forced to do such labor.
Chongwen Detention Center
The Chongwen Detention Center is one of the many detention centers in Beijing. Ms. Xu Na, wife of Mr. Yu Zhou, is now detained here.
