Her husband was not informed about the hunger strike or any change in her condition.

The 610 Office detains Ms. Gao and continues to brainwash her, disregarding the fact that she is in critical condition.

On Hunger Strike 19 Days, Ms. Zheng Yuling Dies in Custody

Ms. Zheng Yuling was arrested on the night of August 6, 2009 while she was posting a banner at the Chibi City Police Department housing. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor and taken to the Hubei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp on August 25, 2009, which is located in 1-Mahu Community, Hongshan District, Wuhan City.

Ms. Zheng's husband rushed to the labor camp on September 29, 2009. Her body had been dressed and her face made up, but he could still tell that her nose was deformed and there were many needle holes on her hand. The camp administrator told him that Ms. Zheng began a hunger strike on September 9 and died at noon on September 28. He condemned the guards, saying, "She was on a hunger strike for 19 days before she died. Why didn't you tell me earlier?" The guards had no answer. Ms. Zheng's body was cremated on September 30, 2009 at a crematory in Wuhan City, only one month after she was detained in the forced labor camp. The cause of her death is under investigation.

The "Death Bed" and Other Brutal Tortures Render Ms. Gao Guizhen in Critical Condition

Ms. Gao Guizhen was the former Collection Section Chief of the State Tax Bureau in Weicheng District, Weifang City. She became destitute and homeless for seven years in order to avoid persecution from the CCP. On August 1, 2009, Ms. Gao was arrested by the police from Kuiwen Police Department in Weifang City and suffered from brutal tortures such as the death bed, tied to a "cross" and being injected with unknown drugs in the Weifang City Detention Center. By August 31, 2009, Ms. Gao's life was in great danger due to the brutal tortures.

In order to shirk responsibility for Ms. Gao's condition, Weifang City Detention Center took her to the Weicheng District 610 Office. The Weicheng District 610 Office detained Ms. Gao in the District "Law Training Class" (brainwashing session) and continued to abuse her, disregarding the fact that she was in critical condition.

Ms. Gao has been practicing Falun Gong since 1995 and has continually followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in order to be a good person and a responsible employee. She never accepted any gifts from her employer and was respected by her relatives, friends and colleagues. When the District Hall and her workplace stopped her salary and removed her from her position, her colleagues immediately stood up and spoke for her.

In June 1999, Ms. Gao was fined 2,000 yuan by the Downtown Management Office of Weicheng District and her workplace deducted half a year's bonus and removed her from her position. The person in charge of the case was Xin Hua.

On October 1, 2000, because Ms. Gao went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, she was fined 50,000 yuan by the CCP Political and Juciciary Committee and the Police Precinct in Weicheng District  without receiving a receipt. The chief of the 1st Section of the District Precinct Xu Yunsheng processed the fine.

In September 2001, Ms. Gao was arrested again for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. She was fined 7,000 yuan and was detained at the Chengnan Wujia Detention Center in Weicheng District for five days. She was then illegally fined another 200 yuan.

In September 2001, the police from Weicheng District broke into Ms. Gao's home. They tried to arrest her again but failed. Ms. Gao has been homeless since then.

So that her husband and children would no longer suffer threats and fines from the police, Ms. Gao had to become homeless for seven years. She suffered great pain from being separated from her family. Since October 2000, Ms. Gao's employer has stopped all of her salary, totaling over 300,000 yuan.

On August 1, 2009, Ms. Gao was arrested by the police from Kuiwen District, Weifang City at her rented room and she was detained at the City Detention Center. After a month's detention, her life was in great danger due to the persecution.

During her detention, Ms. Gao was brutally tortured by the police because she would not renounce her belief of Falun Gong. Peng Yunxia, director of the Women's Branch,  and Chen, Group Captain of the 1st Ward led four inmates to torture Ms. Gao using the "death bed" and "cross." They also force-fed her and injected her with unknown drugs which caused her to lose consciousness for a long period of time. They continuously tied her to the cross or death bed from 10 hours to 36 hours at a time for the entire month.

On the death bed, Ms. Gao's hands and feet were tightly cuffed by an iron loop and handcuffs six centimeters in diameter. It was very hard for her to move even a little. When she could not stand the excruciating pain any longer and tried to move a little, her ankles and wrists were suppressed by the iron loop and handcuff and it was very painful. Her wrists were badly swollen for more than ten days.

Each time Gao Guizhen was tied to the cross or death bed, female doctor Kang injected her with unknown drugs or force-fed her. When Doctor Kang did not insert the needle in the right spot, she didn't even pull the needle out to do it again. Doctor Kang said, "I don't need to pull the needle out and do it again. The muscle [at the wrong spot] will also absorb the drugs." The criminals who were detained at the detention center were also incited by team leader Chen to find ways to further torture Ms. Gao in order to get a reduction to their detention term. Besides Ms. Gao, there was also another Falun Gong practitioner at the detention center who also suffered from the same brutal tortures. The personnel who participated in force feeding Ms. Gao included police Xue, Doctor Zhu and four other criminals.

By August 31, 2009, after being brutally persecuted, Ms. Gao's life was in great danger. Weicheng District 610 Office transferred her to the so-called Law Training Class at the Middle School of Wangliu Town, which was an abandoned without any students. There the police continued to detain and abuse her disregarding the fact that her life was in great danger.
