Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp in Inner Mongolia Brutally Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners

Many Falun Gong practitioners are currently being held in Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp in Inner Mongolia. Most of them are male practitioners from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. There are also several practitioners from other regions who've been illegally arrested in Beijing, as well as those who've come to work in Inner Mongolia from other regions. The guards in Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp have brutally beaten practitioners and subjected them to forced labor and brainwashing.

One of the divisions in Wuyuan Labor Camp is responsible for the entry and release of prisoners in the forced labor camp. It is divided into a number of teams. All of the practitioners are imprisoned in this division, known for its hostility towards practitioners.

Practitioners are forced to perform hard labor. For example, in the heat of the summer, they have to cut reed grass for four to five hours a day in the heavily polluted water canal. Educational section workers attempt to force practitioners to give up their beliefs, criticize Teacher, and write the so-called Guarantee Statement, "Regret Statement," etc. Practitioners who refuse are transferred to other teams to be humiliated and beaten. Even 70-year-old practitioners are brutally beaten.

The Chinese Communist Party uses financial incentives to entice labor camp employees to brutally persecute practitioners (a 10,000 yuan reward is provided for each "transformed" practitioner), and the labor camp launched a vicious campaign of persecution. They slap practitioners brutally, kick them with their boots, and stomp on their heads repeatedly. Many practitioners live with a constant headache, ringing in their ears, and pain in their chests. They are also forced to participate in the "team discipline." The labor camp personnel beat practitioners in their offices openly and also use a variety of deceitful means to confuse them. Many practitioners have been dragged to cemeteries to be brutally beaten. On one occasion, guards tied up a steadfast practitioner and shocked his entire body with four electric batons simultaneously.

Mr. Guo Baoshan from Yibin County, Sichuan Province Arrested Again for Seeking Justice for Falun Gong

Mr. Guo Baoshan and his wife are both practitioners. Mr. Guo continued to do the exercises of Falun Gong at the Binjiang Park practice site after the persecution began on July 20, 1999. Subsequently, the officers form the 1st Section of Yibin County Police Department, officials from the 610 Office and also from his employer, the 812th Factory, as well as personnel from Jinxing Village Police Station began severely persecuting him. They raided his home in October 2001, arrested him and confiscated Falun Gong books and truth clarification materials. He was sentenced to a year of imprisonment and was tortured severely in the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Jinyang.

After Mr. Guo's release from the labor camp in April 2003, he continued to do the exercises at the practice site. Also, he went to Yibin County Police Department and Jinxing Village Police Station and several other places to voice his complaint against Jiang regarding the persecution.

Mr. Guo was once again arrested in April 2004 and had to endure another raid of his home. He was sentenced to three years in the Zigong Prison where suffered from all kinds of tortures and nearly lost his life.

Following his release on April 20, 2007, Mr. Guo continued with determination to do the exercises at the practice site. In addition, he tried several ways to find lawyers to sue Jiang.

On November 30, 2007, around 7:00 a.m., The CCP police broke into Guo's home and searched it. Participating in the home invasion were the following: Yan Rulong, Chen Xingyun and Chen Yunli from Yibin County Police Department and agents from the 610 Office and Hou Yue and Yang Tao from the 812 Factory, those from Jinxing Police Station, as well as some other unknown persons. While in the process, they got a phone call, reminding them to search carefully. After that they also searched his relatives' room. They confiscated three Falun Gong books and other materials. They once again illegally arrested Mr. Guo and detained him at Baixi Detention Center. Chen Xingyun told his family they would detain him for a month before they would make a decision on further imprisonment. He ordered his family members to sign the paperwork, but they refused to sign. Having already been detained for more than 20 days, they forbade family visits and forbade the family to bring Mr. Guo anything.
