Mr. Xu Dongyu and Ms. Huang Xungui were arrested by the police as they handed out truth-clarifying materials in Yikou, Xingzi County. Currently they are detained at Xingzi County Detention Center.

On the evening of September 28, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners Xu Dongyu and Huang Xungui were reported to the police as they handed out truth-clarifying materials in Yikou, Xingzi County, Jiangxi Province. They were arrested, and currently are still detained at Xingzi County Detention Center.

During the morning of October 6, family members went to Xingzi County Police Department to ask for the release of the practitioners. The police department's door was locked from the inside and no one was allowed to enter, so the family then went to Xingzi County Detention Center. The police from the detention center first yelled at them. But they continued to ask, so they were finally allowed to visit the two practitioners, however neither was released.

Mr. Huang Xungui is from Zhang'aiguo Village, Yongan, Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province. He began practicing in 1997 and greatly benefited in body and mind. Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime has massively persecuted Falun Gong. In 2000, Mr. Huang Xungui went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested by the police. He was then sent to the Jiujiang Forced Labor Camp and imprisoned for three years. Because he protested the persecution and refused to write the words to slander Falun Gong, during his detention he was brutally tortured. He held a hunger-strike in protest. The guards force-fed him, injuring his nose and throat. His hunger-strike lasted for more than 30 days, and only when he was close to death was he released.

Ms. Xu Dongyu is from Huayuan Village, Gangkoujie Town, Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province. She started to practice Falun Gong in1998, and soon her illnesses disappeared. When the persecution began, she felt it was her responsibility to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. She needed to work on a farm during the day and she was very busy and worked very hard. But she also found time to tell the villagers that Falun Dafa is good.
