  • CCP Propaganda Twists the Facts and Slanders Innocent People

At around 4 p.m. on April 23, without any authorization, several policemen from Xinjiang Police Station in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Ying's home and arrested her. However, on April 25, Harbin's The New Evening newspaper twisted the facts in reporting this incident. The headline said, "Using an extension ladder, the police got onto a balcony to arrest a thief."

    The article slandered Ms. Zhao.

The New Evening newspaper reported that when the home owner got home, all the rooms were lit up, so he called the police. They said, "At 5:28 p.m. on April 23, police from Pingfang area received a call from a citizen saying that his home had been burglarized. The building is located at 409 Xinjiang Ave. in the Pingfang area......" However, it is still quite light at 5:28 p.m. in Harbin City, so there was no need to turn the lights on. Also, there is no balcony in Ms. Zhao's apartment.

Ms. Zhao Ying was brutally tortured. As a result, she began to have heart problems and her relatives do not have enough money to pay her hospital expenses.

That day the police surrounded Ms. Zhao's home and used metal cutting tools to break through her security door. After breaking into her home, they searched it and confiscated her property. They hauled her from the fourth floor to the main floor and pushed her into a police car. Her mother, who is over 70 years old, suffered a heart attack after being threatened by the police.

The neighbors were alarmed. The police made irresponsible remarks and said things like, "She killed her child."

But everyone could see that her child was well.

Ms. Zhao Ying exclaimed, "I am a Falun Gong practitioner, and I believe in 'Truthfulness, Benevolence, Tolerance.' I did nothing wrong. It is the police who want to arrest me."

Neighbors noticed that the police had mobilized so many people to arrest a completely unarmed woman. This caused much discussion, such as, "If they could make the same effort to arrest corrupt officials, the country wouldn't be so rotten."

The New Evening newspaper in Harbin is full of propaganda from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They published a flagrant lie, but everyone who lives in that area knows that Zhao Ying is a Falun Gong practitioner and a kind woman.

Falun Gong Practitioner Zhang Bo from Tonghua City, Jilin Province Arrested by Police Again

In the afternoon of April 3, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Bo was fetching her son from kindergarten in Tonghua City, Jilin Province, along with the six-year-old child of a relative. Suddently, within a few feet of reaching her home, police officers Zhou Fuyou and Tian Kaiyuan--in plainclothes--jumped out of a red taxi and abducted Zhang Bo, forcing her into the taxi. The police searched Zhang Bo's pockets for keys, opened her front front door, and fled after shoving the two children inside.

The two children started crying for their mothers, and a kind passer-by brought the children to the nearby Xinzhan Police Station. However, Zhou Fuyou, Wu Guoqing and four other police officers pushed the children out of the station and threatened to beat them.

Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Bo, thirty-five years old, traveled to Beijing on April 28, 2000 to appeal to the government for justice for Falun Gong. At that time, Ms. Zhang was six months pregnant. As she had not brought her identity card, she could not stay in a hotel and had to spend a night in the corridor of a residential apartment. The next day, Ms. Zhang traveled to Tiananmen Square and held up a banner that read, "Falun Gong is good!"

She was illegally detained in a metal cage in Front Gate Police Sation. Thereafter, Zhang Bo was brought back to Xinzhan Police Station by Zhang Yuanli, where she was detained for another night.

On December 25, 2001, Wu Kai, the director of the Political Security Section of Dongcang District Police Branch, along with Bao Yuquan, Tian Kaiyuan and Zhang Yuanli from Xinzhan Police Station illegally broke into Zhang Bo's home and ransacked the place. Ms. Zhang was forcibly taken away. Zhang Bo's son was only thirteen months old then, and had a high fever. The baby had a runny nose and was so frightened that he cried loudly. Under such circumstances, the police even took Zhang Bo's husband (who is not a Falun Gong practitioner) away to Xinzhan Police Station and kept him there for an entire night.

Zhang Bo was forced to live in exile with her baby in order to avoid further arrest and harassment. Thereafter, Xinzhan Police Station and Wangou Police Station came to Zhang Bo's family and her in-law's family several times to harrass them. Zhang Huaming from Xinzhan Police Station would come to Zhang Bo's mother-in-law's home every two or three days to harrass her. As a result of this ongoing harassment, Zhang Bo was forced to live in exile for eight months.

One day in mid-August 2004, during the rainy season, just as a storm ended, police officer Wang Jiming from the Xinzhan Police Station brought another plainclothes policeman to Ms. Zhang's family and tried to deceive Zhang Bo's father-in-law: they said that they were from the Civil Affairs Bureau and had come to check if the family had been affected by the heavy rain. The police officers lied, saying that they would give the family funds to help them with some slight flooding. This was a pretext to discover the whereabouts of Zhang Bo. The elderly grandfather revealed that Zhang Bo worked at Xinhuaqiao Bakery. At around 2:00 p.m., Wang Jiming brought two local policemen from Wangou Station to the bakery, and lied again, saying that they were looking for Zhang Bo to buy a cake. When Zhang Bo emerged, policeman Wang asked her to follow them back. When Zhang Bo refused, the two police officers started dragging her. It became very violent and the onlookers could not stand it anymore. They said that the police were abducting people in broad daylight! When someone asked them for warrants or legal documents for the arrest, police officer Wang Jiming replied, "Do you think I need documents to arrest people?"

Ms. Zhang was forcibly taken to Xinzhan Police Station. Eight police officers, including Wang Jimin and Ma Qiang, beat her to the ground. Then they dragged Zhang Bo down to the ground floor and drove her to Wangou Station. Along the way, Ms. Zhang kept shouting, "Falun Gong is good!" After Zhang Bo went on a hunger strike to protest against the illegal arrest, she was released.

In July 2005, the deputy director of the Xinshan Community, a person surnamed Liu, called to set up a forced brainwashing class under the misleading name of "Education Class." At the same time, Zhang Bo's home was surrounded by plainclothes police and she was again forced to live in exile for several months.

At 8:00 a.m. on December 7, 2006, Political Instructor Zhang Xiaoxu from Xinzhan Police Station led Ma Qiang, Tian Kaiyuan, Bao Yuquan and another policeman surnamed Wang went to Zhang Bo's home. They hid themselves outside the door and once Ms. Zhang's family members left the house, they rushed in to ransack the place. Without showing any identification, they took away Ms. Zhang's husband and forced him to sign his name on a document. He was threatened by the police who told him that if he did not sign his name he would be sent to the detention center. After a day's detention, her husband was released home.

A few hours later on the same day, Ma Qiang and two other policeman went to Zhang Bo's work place (Luyang Kindergarten) to look for Zhang Bo's friends. They lied, saying that Ms. Zhang's husband wanted to send the children to kindergarten. Zhang Bo was not around at that time. When the two policeman came again at 2:00 p.m., Zhang Bo was able to escape.

On April 3, 2007, when Zhang Bo was fetching her child home from the kindergarten, police officers Zhou Fuyou and Tian Kaiyuan abducted her in broad daylight just a few feet from her home and forced her into their vehicle.

Zhang Bo is currently illegally imprisoned in the local detention center and is being persecuted there. To date, the CCP Authorities have not notified Zhang Bo's family of her arrest.
